Filip, personally I think that this is your best video so far. You explain things so well. If you have the time, you should definitely try taking tutorials online. I will be your first student, promise. Amazing video! Wish you success in the future dude and make some more automation videos!
yooo your building fpv. i remember when i was like 12 and the principle told me to find a school drone. i got them a gopro karma but with my research i decided i want to build my own drone. 4 years later and i still use it for so many things. they have definatly become more mainstream and i highly recommend it. i would invest in a good simulator before buying one though cause it takes alot of time to get used too
Amazing video buddy! Is there a way to connect the GoPro to a USB-c either directly OR using a splitter/Media Mod to transfer data over that method without having to plug it in/out? Would love to do what you just did, but transferring ~30 min videos is a hefty ask for WiFi. Thanks.
Hi Filip. Great video. Do you know if there are any API commands linked to the motion sensors / gyro in the GoPro? So to maybe trigger recording if the camera senses certain motion patterns or accelerations?
hi filip, trying my best to use my hero8 as webcam/video input on ubuntu, (nvidia jetson nano) witch is arm64, so far everything worked on listing media and the connection, how can we access the live video from gopro, there is a way to do it? if it is, how the line on the hero8.py code would look like? thank you!!
awsome work Filip keep it up btw how much the go pro cost you? and can I use it as the main camera for recording my videos and doing live streaming ?? because I have a budget to buy only one camera and the quality of the images from go pro looks good to me Please give your suggestions
I payed £279, it was on sale. Yeah so GoPro has a streaming feature already in-built, and the quality is vert decent. You can really make it look like a good camera when you get your settings right and edit it in post! What is your budget?
Can you possibly make the GoPro interface through your home LAN instead of having to create it's own so that it's reachable via the network to issue these scripts? Would be extremely grateful for any guidance!
Hmm I dont think thats a possibility as of yet. I was trying the same but I had no access to the LAN. It’s worth double checking now for any updates in regards to that! 😎
@@developerfilip thanks for the reply! The reason I'm thinking it's possible is it seems they connect to the remotes as though they were an AP. So was wondering if we could make them use that functionality towards our LAN instead 🤷♂️ If I ever figure it out I'll post back here!
Fillip, do you have an internet connection on your computer while the gopro is connected to the wifi? I cant do this while my wired connection is enabled. So how are you accessing the gopro?
@@developerfilip So the gopro phone app must be used to connect it to the wifi router, then connect the pc/laptop wirelessly to the gopro as its acting as a hotspot? Let me know if I have that right because I think I was making the mistake of trying to connect the gopro to my wifi router using my pc. Thanks Filip!!
Hey Filip, this is really good. I was wondering, if i can set the rtmp server through the API for live stream, so I need not to go to app and set the same.
What should I try to automate next? Let me know!!
„intelligent scraping“! web scraping with python selenium and then implementing ML
Try some stuff with python and selenium, I have had a ton of fun over the past few days with them. :)
Can you please do it by java ?
@@hedjerciyakoub328 There is currently no API that allows a Java solution
perhaps you can automate slow motion automator directly upon download the media. It would be super cool

Hi Konrad, can i connect 3 cameras hero7, taking this path?
Can you help with using python to enable GoPros Bluetooth?
That was cool!
Hi, what python version did you used?
The snake_case with camelCase in the same code triggers my OCD
really usefull content, maybe try the official gopro api next
Great video! Do you know if this can be done with multiple go pros at the same time?
Neat! If this would work via cable, with older models or even knock-offs, that'd be great 😁
is it possible to program the camera to turn on automatically when the power is connected?
This is REALLY cool. Thanks for that.
Still watching you.
Waiting for you to hit 100k.
You once told me you don't forget.
I will tag u there just know it, when you hit 100k.
