@@regretabletangibility one that doesn't exist. The big lifted trucks don't have drive shafts because the pinion angles would be too extreme and would bind. Basically, they only do half a build, make it look pretty, but they don't actually function.

For a guy that didn’t build anything, he’s sure selling it as the greatest creation ever. Seems like a bolt on build to me, even if it is a nice looking car.
Yeah! I mean, why would anybody be joyful and excited about something they created? He should have discredited and undervalued everything! That's some good content right there!
Looking forward to meeting you again this weekend. That build is off the charts maximum respect to all the team that was involved Sema has always been on the bucket list❤
No one has seen it ever before in the US but there were numerous stunning of those Toyota Sprinters that were show car quality & could be drag raced in the streets in the Philippines
I was able to be involved in fitting the wheels to what was labeled the "Dark Knight" at the 2010 SEMA show, it was a Bentley Speed 8 with a Veilside widebody kit by Sean from Custom Creations in the Nutek wheel booth. It really is a different feeling when you're involved with something that garners a lot of attention. If anyone ever wants the full story of HRE wheels, I've got some stories.
Love everything except the wheels and tyres - should be on Minilites both because they'd match it better, and they'd show off the brakes more. And then toss the undersized tyres, Radials are meant to have ballooned out sidewalls, to keep the contact patch square on the ground for longer - you're limiting the handling with the stretched look. It's good for drifting, not handling.
I've been "restomodding" these cars for over 30 years now. Where does this guy live to not know that the TE27's/KE25's have a huge cult following? 😅 I also don't see where the $250K was spent on this car.
I can email you the build list... if everyone had charged us full price for parts, labour and services, would have been $250k ... we paid 125k and the rest was sponsored or comp'd
Honestly didn’t even see this car at SEMA but looks great. Congratulations on your success. But don’t use a photo of Ken Blocks car as the cover photo.
A beautiful story told! While I can only see the car though my computer screen. It looks like a lot of love went into building this car. The only thing I was not a fan of is the rims. I am not just not a fan of having gold on rims. But who cares the car looks spectacular! Great story telling also. I looked at the price of the car $79,950,that seems like a steal of a deal! It is disappointing you are selling. 👑👑♦♦⚔⚔👑👑
Ciro, it’s not a hatchback. Also, yours is a ‘73, mine a ‘71 4AGE, close ratio 5 speed, 4 link rearend, 4 wheel disc brakes, Corolla GTS seats….and my daily driver.
All sema vehicles should be required to move into the arena, under their own power. If the riddler award contenders have to, then these should be no different.
I knew the hidden car was an Audi Q, you cheeky little monkeys!! :) Hey Ciro, genuine question (that may sound snarky but isn’t at all meant that way) Do you do any of the actual work or do you act more in the capacity of the car’s ‘manager’ - to manage something into this outcome is, after all, a talent in itself!
I haven't got the time, patience or know how...my artistry is the vision and bringing together all the businesses and brands to showcase their expertise... the wheels are my design and they had to be a bold, marmite choice
Overall nice car - but less gaudy wheels (same colours is ok) with thinner spokes would show off the calipers way better … something like an Enkei RPF1 style (better JDM) but … it’s being talked up like no one has done a Corolla resto before …. Australia has lots of them and with 4AGE motors (special but not rocking horse poop) … seems like more talk than product deserves and it’s good so let it speak for itself. Seems like has to talk it into “specialness”
That car looks fucking amazing. The wheels look like shit on it though... super sad to see and should have neen silver or chrome and most definitely not 3 spoke 🤮
I remember seeing sky high car audios truck build I I literally laughed my ass off. Tons of money and no skill built. Owner just sat there mugging our group going over it 😂
The harmed Mazda was sold off, before they built up a 1973 Toyota Corolla, with a swapped 4age 1600 Toyota engine, & slapped on some ugly gold wheels…🛞
Firstly, stop calling it a 'hatchback'. It is a coupe. It has no 'hatch'. Secondly, all this talk about the 4-link rear end. So why doesn't the video show it? (And, why only 4 links? Why not the 5th?) And, of course, the 4A-GE engine swap. This is so common as to almost be 'ho-hum'. (That said, I personally believe it to be the right choice). So overall, a very nice resto. A car that would actually be good to drive, as distinct to the typical SEMA 'dog'.
If it runs and drives, it's already better than a lot of the stuff at SEMA.
Listen, in a world of Bluetooth Driveshafts at SEMA, your ride is plenty good for SEMA.
Man, you're a mind reader. Was fixing to state the exact same thing. So many "hogs with 💄 n nail polish at that "show".
WTutterF is a "Bluetooth driveshaft"
@@regretabletangibility one that doesn't exist. The big lifted trucks don't have drive shafts because the pinion angles would be too extreme and would bind. Basically, they only do half a build, make it look pretty, but they don't actually function.
💯
Heck, I figured intact, working drivelines and engines were _verboten_ for SEMA…😂😂
In Oz there are KE20s with Barras, LS's, 1UZs and other Toyota engines. Many have been in Street Machine Magazine.
dont forget wanka engines lol
sema cars should have to travel into las vegas under their own power from wheaton springs, like 45 mins away
The only thing is some cars at Sema aren't road legal I don't think stanceworks k24 time attack 308 is road legal bit I do agree I hate the Bluetooth driveshafts on the massive trucks
I think a better and easier solution is that that must enter and leave the show floor under their own power.
Of all the cars to build...
This thing was truly incredible to see in person.
But why build a car that can not be made to look cool.
@PandPNews really? It looked frickin epic...beauty is in the eye of the beholder
For a guy that didn’t build anything, he’s sure selling it as the greatest creation ever. Seems like a bolt on build to me, even if it is a nice looking car.
"No one restomods these" guess hes never been to NZ.
Or Australia, They're everywhere here
Or, oddly, considering his accent, the U.K…. Indeed, my brother is doing one as we speak. I came for the hidden picture Audi Quattro anyway… :c
Used to be one of these in Melbourne, with japanese 2 liter touring car race engine.
Or NY, or PA, or MY or Delaware.
Hawaii
Great story and beautiful car. You did a great job on it.
Have a look in Australia there is a few beautiful built corolla over here
This guy is the king of hyperboles. He’ll describe a shower head as the most devastating storm generating contraption that ever existed.
Replace showerhead with a well aimed bidet with poorly adjusted pressure.
Absolute devastation.
Yeah! I mean, why would anybody be joyful and excited about something they created? He should have discredited and undervalued everything! That's some good content right there!
Always be humble people.Hello from New Zealand.
Looking forward to meeting you again this weekend. That build is off the charts maximum respect to all the team that was involved Sema has always been on the bucket list❤
Beautifull build, the bay, the interiour, the looks and stance all of it. awesome car
Awesome build and sharing the story of the build…wow
That is an awesome build. You definitely made a unique car. Everything looks like it has always been there. Kudos
I love retro, oddball builds like this. Bravo sir. Bravo. 😎
The only thing I don’t dig on that sweet Corolla is the wheels. Overall still beautiful!
No one has seen it ever before in the US but there were numerous stunning of those Toyota Sprinters that were show car quality & could be drag raced in the streets in the Philippines
Ciro is a Legend, he is representing UK at SEMA petrolheadonism 💯☄️

Awesome little car. They did a great job with this build.
Always good to see Ciro! Thank you for everything and have a great day!
What a dream come true! I hope to accomplish this with my son soon!
Damn that is an absolutely gorgeous car... I would love to have something that nice in the garage to take out and share with everyone
I'm sure driving that thing in the canyons would be a bucket list experience.
there are plenty of corolas built in Australia even seen a few corola wagons done
Awesome, hopefully one day i get the opportunity to attend a show
Love old Toyota Corollas and Honda civic’s also VW Bugs - awesome build
What would be your dream SEMA build?
Slammed, murdered out, Nissan Hardbody pickup dropped on a C5 Corvette rolling chassis
Volvo 240 T5R
Datsun 1200 fast back
1988 mercury cougar xr7
I'm building it but it's top secret stuff
Saw it in person and in my opinion it was one of the many highlights of the show. Also a bit biased as I have a sabi RX3-Congratulations
Thailand literally has dozens of top build ke25/30 Corollas. 🤘
I've got a Pon Retro 626 rotary and a 4age Ta22 ❤️🇹🇭
🎉🎉🎉
SEMA is the only place where Bluetooth transmissions work
What next? Hope he does the 2000gt Toyota restomod 👍
Brilliant car at sema ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeah... been tinkering with 4age and corollas for years. Now got a 4age ra23 and 4age ae86.
THIS BUILD IS SO SWEET.
Sandblasting a chassis.. been there done that.. got the T-shirt with holes in :)
And this year is going to be event more EPIC for team Petrolheadonism... (y)

I will be honest I don't particularly like the wheels but I think the rest is outstanding
This was the best video I've seen on this channel yet. Great story and beautiful car!
Honestly didn’t even see this car at SEMA but looks great. Congratulations on your success. But don’t use a photo of Ken Blocks car as the cover photo.
That was a class build 😎😎😎👍👍👍
We have a few of those in Australia. Good ones too. BC Racing coilovers? Im not a fan of BC.
I have always loved those old Toyota Corollas that remind me of a Camaro. That though is the coolest one I have seen!!!
"Is this good enough for SEMA" is a pretty low bar
A beautiful story told! While I can only see the car though my computer screen. It looks like a lot of love went into building this car. The only thing I was not a fan of is the rims. 2 door Coupe.. my bad, can get a bit nervous sitting in the big chair 🎉
All sema vehicles should be required to move into the arena, under their own power. If the riddler award contenders have to, then these should be no different.
1973 Toyota Corolla restomod.
Y'all welcome.
What’s the company name who does the carbon fiber parts ?
The Dodge Colt was a good looking car, like a mini nova, didnt have a great engine and havent seen one since late 70s.Same with RX2
Beautiful car.
The car looks slick. The wheels not so much.
"We need to show off the calipers" proceeds to install the chunkiest spokes ever created
Blacked out Minilites would be a big win on this one.
I'd like all the SEMA cars added to Gran Turismo
what do you mean nobody has done one of these. come to Aus they are everywhere even blown v8s and barras 2jz rotaries and everything else bruh.
Excellent choice . Back to the days when toyotas were not ugly .
Love it!
I'm struggling to see the ebc brakes
Are you sure it's not based of the a9x hatch back torana 😮 ? 14:49

Apart from the wheels, you really fked up with those wheels. Come on maaaan!
I haven't got the time, patience or know how...my artistry is the vision and bringing together all the businesses and brands to showcase their expertise... the wheels are my design and they had to be a bold, marmite choice
Hmm nice engine.... But what about this RS200 in the background?!
Overall nice car - but less gaudy wheels (same colours is ok) with thinner spokes would show off the calipers way better … something like an Enkei RPF1 style (better JDM) but … it’s being talked up like no one has done a Corolla resto before …. Id pefer it if it had the watanabes it came with but still looks great
A sleeper version would have been better.
Well, this looks interesting
With the flick of a pen, SEMA could ensure that only complete vehicles appear in the show. But nah.....incomplete puzzles it is.
That car looks fucking amazing. The wheels look like shit on it though... super sad to see and should have neen silver or chrome and most definitely not 3 spoke 🤮
Chingon compa
Ok woah... Did bro say goose pimple? 🤣😂 These damn Brits hahaa. I pohrd muh bohtl uh watta on muh goose pimple innit xP
you forgot "bruv" :D
@@aaronoliveri bruv yew goht yuh goose pimple in muh watta innit all 6s and 7s?
There’s a reason some cars are never “restomoded” , because they’re not worth it!
Sure, but damn that thing is sexy...!
This was a advertisement to sell his car 🙄🤦🏻
I remember seeing sky high car audios truck build I I literally laughed my ass off. Tons of money and no skill built. Owner just sat there mugging our group going over it 😂
Can anyone tell me if this is the type of car that was in the original Mad Max that was blown and ultimately destroyed?
Mad max car was a ford coupe
is it me or does the video look saturated?
good one
Painting all the lighting black just went too far.
ONLY COMMENTING ON THIS BECAUSE IT'S BEEN UP 12 HOURS AND THERE'S ONLY 60 COMMENTS AND I'M HOPING SOMEONE WILL SEE THIS AND GIVE IT A LIKE
Listen, I like the build but 20 yrs ago this wasn't good enough for SEMA js
Should’ve gotten actual advan Oni’s and not replicas
i don't understand that much work and time and love spent on a vehicle that is otherwise so boring in all aspects.
😂Datsun w a “Toyota” drive train , hmm,,,,
😂 😂. 😂
no , nO, NO !!!
The harmed Mazda was sold off, before they built up a 1973 Toyota Corolla, with a swapped 4age 1600 Toyota engine, & slapped on some ugly gold wheels…🛞
Good looking car but everyone thinks they have the best build lol
Not hatchback... Te27 Coupe
Good morning
Not a hatchback.
I don’t like the color of the seats and door panels brown not good. Maybe blue or red or black interior but not brown.
That certainly is one opinion.
Way to go, you copied a "resto mod" that was done by Matt Panic years ago and his car actually races on track!
Well done Matt! Wasn't aware of his build 🎉
Firstly, stop calling it a 'hatchback'. It is a coupe. It has no 'hatch'.
Secondly, all this talk about the 4-link rear end. So why doesn't the video show it? (And, why only 4 links? Why not the 5th?)

So overall, a very nice resto. A car that would actually be good to drive, as distinct to the typical SEMA 'dog'.
Drove it 1k miles around LA & California the following week 🎉
I like these videos
Most expensive Corolla in the world 😂😂
It shouldn't be in the show if it isn't driveable! Anyone who tries to pass a vehicle off as functional should be banned from the show!
Sorry pal great hype can’t see anything here, maybe you should trying selling refrigerators up north, sema may be dropping its standards.
Wow , thanks..
I'll Google refrigerator 😅
Enjoy custom ICE cars while you can as this car hateing government is going to end it all ....
You are wrong mothers should be always first
90%. The wheels and stretched tires let this build down. Stop listening to your inner child and go for function.
Ford w a Chevy drive train ,
😂. 😂. 😂!!!
NO NO NO !!!
Too much human, not enough car.
Rims are horrid.
Too much talking... !!!
