I thought the Polaroid One Step I bought on FB Marketplace was a bust when it wouldn’t power on with brand new film. I pumped the bellows on it like you recommended it and it powered right up! Great tip!
I have a couple issues 1. My door latch is broken, where can i find a replacement? 2. Will the broken latch not let the camera operate? I put in a new pack of film and pumped the bellows, didn't work. So i took a toothpick and pushed up the contact switch(S7?), that's under the latch, and it finally spit out the dark slide. It doesn't do anything when i push up the door.
There are three posts on mine in the cartridge bay, the batteries terminals look okay but one to the right of looking at it head on has some corrosion, I don't have any expertise with fixing camera equipment but of anyone knows a good way to sand the terminals without scratching the mirror and without disassembling please let me know
Prooobably too late, but always remember to keep your film in a fridge if you're not using them. Sounds silly but Polaroid recommends it as it keeps the chemicals in the film from going bad.
I just used your "pumping the bellows tip" and it worked. I am a reseller and you made my day, thanks a bunch!
Thought my camera was a dud for the last year and a half and this fix worked.. can't thank you enough!
So glad this worked!
Is there a second tip?

What if my sx70 doesn't power up when I put in a new cartridge?
Great tip! I was just going to take it in for repair but pumpint the bellows did the trick. Thanks!
I’ve had my camera sitting so looong I’m going to try it. Right now
THANK YOU!!!!
i pumped the bellows and the motor started running, but then after putting a new pack of film, it stopped working. do you know what could be wrong?
Do you do this with film inside or no?

I really want an SX-70, but that university budget isn't doing me any favors -_-
I own a bunch of SX-70 film and I’m afraid it will go bad. Iv had the film for almost a year.
