Retrospekt restoration cost: $225.00 Any Camera repair company that spends that much of your money packaging your repaired camera is suspect. Look at your repair sheet, they only replaced 5 items and 1 of those is a Sticker. Plus you only get a 90 day warranty with this expensive service and they have enough negative Google reviews to be of concern. All of this taken together does not inspire confidence !! Nice photos but if you're going to scan the images and make a number of adjustments in Photoshop before uploading, your viewers will not get an accurate idea of what is coming out of the camera.
It’s native! It took a long time to figure out how to shoot that film. 😅 I scan the keepers on the epson v550 and do minor edits to white balance and sharpness before uploading them.
Your exposures are spot on, a tad underexposed but for Polaroid that’s perfect, I would love to see how you “metered” with your exposure comp dial during photo walks
I got my SX-70 sonar modified by Brooklyn Film and I don’t know if it’s my film packs or the camera but something is going on with exposure cause most shots don’t look good. Do you have tips for over/under exposure to work with the modifications?
Honestly on the newest batch of film…it’s been pretty consistent. I don’t adjust the exposure comp very often. I mostly just try to shoot low contrast scenes and I’ve been trying to avoid bright whites or reflective material…it really messes with the meter in the SX-70.
