Sith Inquistor class story is one of few things I like about Star Wars. Film era sith are not this interesting and rule of two and all of that really limits the setting.
The SI is definitely my favorite class in the game (see my name). Apologies for the following rambling Something I just want to mention is that people often equate the titles of Imperius with being a very rational/pragmatic Sith and Nox being the absolute maniac, this isn't that surprising given the requirements for those titles, but having played the class story several times I've found that as Darth Nox you can be a ruthless Sith to your enemies, but also a pragmatist, seeking reform and putting the Empire first, much like Marr. That is the beauty of this game, there can be a lot of nuance in a character. Also with what you stated on the Sith Inquisitor being second only to the Emperor at that point, I both agree and disagree. I think that as the SI is granted the title of Dark Lord of the Sith, his power is not on that level just yet, but I would put him close to the Wrath and Darth Marr, so definitely one of the strongest Sith in the Empire. But the SI very much has the potential to reach that level of power, and in my eyes is the perfect enemy for Valkorion. Valkorion may have never sent the Wrath after the SI, but I do think he saw the SI as a potential threat, because he saw himself in them. Both came from nothing, but were descendant of Sith Lords, both climbed their ways up the ranks to the heights of the Sith Empire and both have the power to consume Death in one form or another. On Ziost as the SI delivers their speech to lure out Vitiate, and they state that they are "*The one they cannot match wills with*, the one they can't hope to strike down" and while I think the SI's gall to put themselves on the same level as Vitiate helped piss him off, I also think it is Vitiate recognizing that one day those words could prove true. And in KOTFE Chapter 2, if the SI states they always wanted to add Valkorion's soul to their collection, Valkorion will state he was thinking the same about the SI, a clear respect between these Masters of Death. I think where the two differ is that Valkorion seeks to become Master of the Force, and as per Marr's words, the SI is the Commander of its Will and naturally opposes Valkorion because of it. TLDR: Sith Inquisitor complex and strong
Talos Drellik spelt it aloud. The tombs of Korriban were strange. The tomb of Naga Sadow was built by Tulak Hord before Naga Sadow was even born. Aloysius Kallig was interred in the dark temple on Dromund Kaas before this world was discovered, he was a contemporary of Tulak Hord whom he regarded "as a friend" as he himself told it to the player. Tulak Hord himself is an interesting character, he was "Jem Ar" the dark lord of the sith. This was way before Darth Vitiate became the emperor, and yet Kallig was buried there. Mighty strange. The rest of the ghostly crew were also older then the emperor or his rule. And yet the emperor was imprisoned on Voss in a tomb. Wether Sel-ma-kor was a spirit that predated the divide of Jedi and dark Jedi is not revealed. There is lots of lore to be found in SWTOR if you dare to delve into it.
My Voss video talks about Sel-Makor and his origins if you're looking to learn. You raise some brilliant talking points though, i've actually wrote a couple notes hehe. Stay awesome!
I always played as a dark side inquisitor that also would not do foolish decisions as to increase their power base and gain allies as that would ultimately increase their power. Also focused on increasing the power of the empire. So essentially was quite evil but a logical evil instead of chaotic as to properly strengthen the empire instead of weakening it.
I personally always love the inquisitor's story for the whole eternal empire stuff because of all of the parallels between them and the emperor. Both were enslaved descendants of powerful sith who rose through the ranks defeating masters. I think their conflict works even better if you play as a light side inquisitor because then there a juxtaposition between the two where while both are fully committed to using the dark side of the force and even chasing after immortality they both end up with fundamentally different interpretations of the same sith code; one chasing freedom and the other power. It also sorta makes sense to me that the inquisitor would have some light side tendencies due to their past as a slave giving them very personal experience with the shortcomings of the empire and the close association that they make with darth marr kinda reinforces the idea that they work pragmatically with the goal of reworking the empire. You can also spin their continued commitment to the sith as an almost obsession with the whole "the force will set me free" part of the sith code as for them becoming a sith and mastering the force quite literally set them free.
I love the Sith Inquisitor my favourite Class and I adore there Story of their rise to power, I can replay the Story multiple times without getting bored and I love how in Legacy of the Sith we can reclaim our seat on the Dark Council. You've tempted me to play SWOTOR and create a new Sith Inquisitor.
Inquisitor is undoubtably the best story in SWTOR, even if their impact isn’t as high in the DLC later. It perfectly embodies a mixture of Wizard, Sorcerer and Warlock.
Inquisitor. Certainly my favorite story. I know it's not the best, but it's the story i connected best with. Especially as a lightning sorcerer, who would go full palpatine on everyone.
Loved it, thanks for the refresher as it's been a while since I've done the story and I don't remember many details from the Sith Inquisitor Chapter 1 or the Warriors Chapter 2. Would you ever be willing to do an explanation for the Jedi Knight as well?
I had footage from all over the place so I just used what I needed :) I only had levels 1-13 using a Twi'lek. Balmorra to Nar Shaddaa I'm using a body type 3 male human which changed to a body type 2 male human for the Nar Shaddaa ending. The majority of the video has the Kallig mask and I feel that works best anyways!
This was an amazing story now I fully understand now. I think you should do the jedi Knight or the. Did I counselor next because either way? I want to know what their story is and I want to know how they came to be and what was their role and what the story gave them as a purpose
It was a really great video, wouldn't mind to see all of the class stories recaped like this. The only issue to me was just some words and pronounciation you used. I mean, I never heard anyone say ghost like that😅. But again, really great work here mate! 😉
@@SWCentral haha 2:11 “The force can touch any being, even a slith.” And then shortly after it sounds to me at about 2:20 like you say “Force Sensitive Slits are sent to Koruban.” 😂
Hey @SWCentral sorry I know it’s been a year since this video came out. But I gotta ask. It’s clear that Nox has another powerful ancestor which would explain why Nox is so powerful and can gain so much power within just a few years - the years in prison. But the devs only gave us one ancient ancestor of Nox. What if the second Sith ancestor Nox is related too was more powerful than Kalig and the Emperor?. I mean think about it. Nox caught up to Arcann’s power within just a few months a year in a half max and than it was even faster when he caught up to Vaylin. It was also said that Sith with an extremely strong bloodline are closer to being 100% more powerful. That gave me the Idea that Nox had to have a second ancestor from either his father’s side or mother’s side that is extremely powerful and possibly lived before or during the rule of the former Emperor. My first thought is that Nox’s second ancestor was possibly one of the old Dark council members who ruled and was considered an equal to Tenebrae himself. For now this is nothing more than a theory but the devs could do something with this little gap in knowledge. For example if Nox just do happened to be the descendent of Sith King Adas or Khem’s old master. that would kinda explain how his power’s grew so fast with little reason. We all know the grudges between Sith can last forever. So what if Nox’s ancestor is Khem’s old master but But the descendants of both Kalig and Toluk ended up falling in love instead of fighting forever?. It wouldn’t be the first story with the MC (Player in Tis case Nox) having parents from both Sith that were rivals but eventually the descendants fell in love. I’m curious to what others might think about this. King Adas, Toluk, Tenebrae, Nox. Clearly there is more to the story and it could also explain why Khem would be inprisoned for years. Toluk did so that when his descendant Nox would be born he would free Khem. But unknowingly to both Khem and Nox. Nox is the also the descendant of Toluk and Kalig
I like your idea :) However, a couple things disprove it but the main will be the fact that Aloysius Kallig was in fact, a loyal servant and peer to Tulak Hord. Tulak betrayed Aloysius because he grew too powerful, he could one day threaten him. That and the fact Aloysius himself tells us we are flesh of his flesh. The fact he comes from such an ancient time would imply your ancestors is that of Purebloods, but your legacy became diluted with humans making you a half breed that could one day be a slave. Purebloods are not slaves. I like the idea of having another ancestor! But keep in mind, while Tenebrae is powerful, the prowess of the old Sith would make Vitiate look like a cuddly toy. Aloysius was very powerful. Powerful enough to hang around for nearly 3,000 years as a ghost waiting for his heir. When you look into Kallig, you see he made Tulak what he is. Without Kallig, Tulak might not have become so famous. Final point, the inquisitor class is undeniably the most powerful in the entire game. You have extra years in your lifespan, extra power through ghosts, are able to tank heavy damage (proven when Thanaton shocks you and you laugh and kill him) and also the fact you achieved dark council rank while once being a slave, damn, that’s impressive. Remember, the inquisitor story is completely about coming out of slavery and making your legacy great again, just like Kallig.
@@SWCentral True. Tbh though even if Nox doesn’t have another powerful ancestor he still has another ancestor. Like think about it. As humans we also have 2 main ancestors. Some from our father’s side and some from our mother’s side. That’s part of the point I was trying to make. Plus even with the stuff that disprove it. It doesn’t really make sense from some point of view. After all if Nox’s ancestor was that powerful he could’ve ruled the Sith further making Nox technically one of many Sith that are truly worthy of ruling over the Sith. Tenebrae forfeited that claim when he betrayed his own race and empire to join another regardless of whatever reason. Either way I am curious as to what the devs will do now. Out of all the Sith Nox and Jadus are technically 2 of many that no one knows much about. And due to the former Emperor’s stupidity. Nox absorbed a good amount of both Arcann and Vaylin’s powers. Ultimately that was a massive gamble for the old emperor. because he didn’t know how much Nox would be able to absorb. Thank you for replying back on this btw. I actually love thinking about theories and stuff like this. I have many theories when it comes to Star Wars and it’s history. Also I honestly hope with this new storyline. It’s possible to recruit Jadus and Malgus regardless of being apart of the empire still or not. It would only make sense in the end because if Malgus and Jadus don’t return to the empire. They could Join Nox in secret and help Nox to overthrow the new emperor or Empress of the Sith. there are only so many left that could actually challenge Nox. It’s also clear that Nox isn’t using his full power. If he was than Malgus and the other would’ve likely died or been effected in some way like seen when Nox used Tenebrae’s force lightning against Arcann. Even in that fight you can tell Tenebrae only gave Nox enough power to knock out his son and Nox only using some power to make sure he didn’t kill Arcann and because all he needed to do is escape. Though Nox wanted to kill Arcann in that moment. He probably didn’t care because he needed to get away. After all he still had Arcann’s sister and the fleet to deal with and Nox is not a fool. But anyway. The empress is pretty stupid. The entire reason she doesn’t challenge Nox directly is because she knows how powerful he is. And if the rumors of Nox’s power being second only to the Emoeror at least for now. On top of that Nox’s power at the moment is still said to be unlimited. So even if the empress challenges Nox directly. She would know better than to piss Nox off to much. If Nox truly wanted too he could take the throne but he/ we choose to help our Empire instead of challenging the empress. That is seen when Nox is given the option to Bow or not bow to the empress. Infact we have that option multiple times. If that isn’t a clear sign that Nox is only loyal to the empire and not the empress than idk what is. Furthermore All Sith fear Nox one way or another and those who challenge Nox’s authority and power are killed by Nox. Kinda like on Maanon when the Sith Lord kept running his mouth and Nox killed him. Nox doesn’t show his power unless necessary. Rivix is kinda the same way. The difference is that Nox uses his power when challenged or extremely angry as seen with his council seat lol
@@SWCentral I also wanna see Nox get a massive upgrade. The devs have been putting it off for far too long. Nox deserves new force powers and even Red force lightning. Which was rare and could only be used by Sith that are extremely intone with the Darkside. Like King Adas the first Sith’ari and Tenebrae in his original body as well as the Mortis God the son who was the Darkside in the flesh or so they say. Point is that devs have a lot to fix and a lot to add. Nox deserves this upgrade. Adding Jadus back is a start but IF the players start going easy on the devs then they might try to go back to doing what they did before and give us more stuff we don’t want or need in the game
Spindrall is a unique name for it is composite of Spin and the same word in german Drall and it means actually the angular momentum of elementary particles. This is a concept of quantum mechanics. I take that as a private joke of the developers.
And that's why I feel Twi'lek (and technically Togruta too) is the least likely for the Sith Inquisitor given how - even if they don't use the helmet - the Kallig ancestor uses it and thus needs to be a species capable to fit within the helmet.
So Darth Nox is more powerful than the Emperor's Wrath by the end of all the class stories? I must've forgotten that line at the end of the Inquisitor story. 👀🤔
@@theatrius5049while I do agree the the Wrath has an advantage in a test of martial skills, I believe that the Inquisitor is more evenly matched than you think, Especially when in the Assassin's tank spec. The defensive buffs could allow the Inquisitor to out last the Wrath, albeit the outcome would also depend on other factors as well.
i have been trying to figure out what to do after chapter 3, after you kill thanaton, im kinda a new player, and idk what to do, i went to illum but im only level 48, so i went to a few other planets in that zone, the loading screen says i need to do something in the imperial fleet but idk what, am i done with the story after i kill thanaton? or is there more (im playing just for story and idk what to do next) was wondering if i could get some help on this. tried looking on reddit, found nothing.
After you kill Thanaton you should go speak to your companions either on your ship, or on Dromund Kaas (You might have already done that). @@SWCentral currently busy. It's during the 2nd n 3rd tasks as acolyte so, quite early on. I just think to remember it so from a while back, perhaps i'm wrong. I just had a strong feeling to remember that bodygard creature to have had a strong loyalty to hord, not sado. If i was right, i can tell u that u have the same mix up in the sitg warrior video too. Also sado is not cool enough to have deserved a hybernated monster as tomb sentinel ;) That's even really so storywise. Given how sado cheated his way to power only to ruin all that ragnos has build including the destruction of the alternative that was for keep gaining strength instead futilly invading a state, the sith then knew barely anything about. Imo, compaired to his lil' importance (exept that he had after his exile to yavin4) i think sado could really b the sith who fucked up worse than any other. Not fully gaining the throne, starting a war that's a certain desaster, killing who could've salvaged the situation, giving away their existence n not only causing the war to come backfirering but also the genocide of much of their species n loss of all the gathered knowledge n artefacts, they had. So as an order the sith were also thrown back almost as far as they've come since the dark jedi arrived. Not to forget their origin homeworld being bombed from barely to fully inhospitable, taken n plundered by the jedi. Not to forget that he was vital for the situation tha brought vitiade who was just as much a menace to the sith empire than to the others. By that he cost them even 3more planets (Nathema,malacor5,ziost) n the loss of their realm's power at t's peak 4 the 2nd time. I don't think kresh could have kept vitiade, but his rise to power n the ability as noob lord to get enough sithlords to come for his ritual n 1st power up, hardly would've been successful without sado's mess. Wow - i guess i've forgotten myself a bit, lol. However Fuck sado, hord would have deserted n become a devoted jedi healer would he have still lived n gotten forced to b asociated with such an epic shame. Personally i'm sure that sado couldn't even have had a tomb exept an empty one on corriban. Who even knew him to b on yavin4 exept exar kun, who certainly didn't bring his corpse home if he even knew about the empire's location. Imagine that he would - why would they bury the one responsable for the loss, destruction n ethnic cleansing/genocidal purge of that very same world, in the most honorable way? Realisticly it would b likely that they purged him from their history like the eghyptains tried to do with echnathon, as soon he was dead.
@@phorz85 I believe you might be referring to the fact I stated Khem Val is within Naga Sadows tomb, and not Tulaks. This is correct, in fact this is a blatant continuity error. As Tulak came before sadow, meaning Sadows tomb couldn't be hidden via a secret passage via Tulaks texts. So the video is *accurate* but the lore from the game it's self is an contradiction.
@@SWCentral well, when the massassi were described first, kevin j anderson said them to b green n it was repeatedly said they were yavin's natives, not sith war - mutants that sado imported. Yet he was also authoring the comics that intoduces that version. Sado's exile was totally a later edition. The comics are basicly the prequel to the story that tieonne learned from kun's master's holocron n from the ballade of nomi sunrider. I was also happier with the way the masassi were made over the initial idea. Still kinda baffling that the creator himself was ok to do such drastic retcons. Perhaps, because they were done still relatively quick n not in a story written a decade later, so the lore wasn't widely familliar when it happened, so it could slide past most readers attention too. With parts also reading comics or novels, there were certainly many who remained unaware for a while.

I'm not cute, I'm colicoid.
Kallig and dark disciple are the best combination.
Everytime I go to Bugtown on Balmorra as a Republic character I start thinking: "I'm about to face the Inquisitors relatives... I am so dead..." xD
Awesome video! For me you are the one that keeps SWTOR alive and videos like this make it feel like everyday more acolytes arrive on Korriban
Thank you for your kind words 😊
You have understood the Sith Code… well done, acolyte. Now rise, a dark lord of the Sith. Free, reborn. Peace is a lie.
The class story that got me into SWTOR, and still the best story for me
Thank u so much for having a Twi’lek character!
Do it!
@@SWCentral I'm doing it, I romanced Theron on my original so i'm going after Arcann on my new one.
This is an awesome video! Watching this makes me want to revisit the Sith Inquisitor class story 😊
Inquisitor is undoubtably the best story in SWTOR, even if their impact isn’t as high in the DLC later. It perfectly embodies a mixture of Wizard, Sorcerer and Warlock.
Been looking for a video essay on my favorite Sith
Inquisitor. Certainly my favorite story. I know it's not the best, but it's the story i connected best with. Especially as a lightning sorcerer, who would go full palpatine on everyone.
Lordy. The difference between hearing the story and actually playing it. Lordy.
This is incredible, beautifully edited, thank you for this! ❤👌
My most favourite class.
Thank you my Lord for informing me of my ancient bloodline
Loved it, thanks for the refresher as it's been a while since I've done the story and I don't remember many details from the Sith Inquisitor Chapter 1 or the Warriors Chapter 2. Would you ever be willing to do an explanation for the Jedi Knight as well?
from slave to dark lord of the sith🔥master of the dead
My favorite SWTOR Storyline
39:45 fellas spawnd in during a cutscene 😂😂
That bug has existed since launch :) hehe
please make more of these!
En route 😁
Why did your character go from Twilek to human mid-video though??? I was so into the Twilek's story lol
@@SWCentral Lol ok. Right on
The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural, including inconsistent characters setting LOL
"You never should have challenged me..."
plz do all the classes
I keep hearing Darth Slit, which sounds so dirty.
At which timestamp? xD
I like your idea :)
However, a couple things disprove it but the main will be the fact that Aloysius Kallig was in fact, a loyal servant and peer to Tulak Hord.
Hippity hoppity your ghost is now my property.
Spindrall is a unique name for it is composite of Spin and the same word in german Drall and it means actually the angular momentum of elementary particles. This is a concept of quantum mechanics. I take that as a private joke of the developers.
This is hilarious haha! Even funnier when you consider that the Sith use “Angles of power” in their architecture as well
how did nox fit the lekku in the masked helmet
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural
Inquisitor is my main so I'm possibly bias
@@SWCentral I mean, akways felt that Nox is more powerful force wise but that the Second Emperor's Wrath (Warrior) could body him in a saber fight.
How the hell have you not done a Darth Bane video yet? His apprentice but not him?
Because Bane deserves my best work 💪 trust me he's on my list.
i have been trying to figure out what to do after chapter 3, after you kill thanaton, im kinda a new player, and idk what to do, i went to illum but im only level 48, so i went to a few other planets in that zone, the loading screen says i need to do something in the imperial fleet but idk what, am i done with the story after i kill thanaton? or is there more (im playing just for story and idk what to do next) was wondering if i could get some help on this. tried looking on reddit, found nothing.
After you kill Thanaton you should go speak to your companions either on your ship, or on Dromund Kaas (You might have already done that). Anyways, the next part of the story is Ilum, however you pickup the mission for Ilum from the Imperial Fleet, just look around and talk to anyone with a purple icon on their head, you'll find it.
Once your done with all of Ilum, you'll begin "Rise of The Hutt Cartel".
@@SWCentral thanks
Part 2 please 🥺
Once I'm done with all the class origins, were gonna move onto era explanation, so like "Rise of the Hutt cartel explained" for example. They will include all the story references! :D
Can you do these for ever swtor class
Bounty Hunter next for the class explained videos :)
I think u might have gotten the owner of the 2nd n 3rd tomb confused. The guy who serves u after the 3rd was hord's kaky, not sado's.
Can you timestamp the moment you refer too?
@@SWCentral currently busy. It's during the 2nd n 3rd tasks as acolyte so, quite early on. I just think to remember it so from a while back, perhaps i'm wrong. I just had a strong feeling to remember that bodygard creature to have had a strong loyalty to hord, not sado.
If i was right, i can tell u that u have the same mix up in the sitg warrior video too.
Also sado is not cool enough to have deserved a hybernated monster as tomb sentinel ;)
That's even really so storywise.
Wow - i guess i've forgotten myself a bit,lol.
@@phorz85 I guess this is what happens when writers overlap and different studios don't communicate. Ah well... Sometimes history is meant to be hazy.

you know, you keep bringing up the Inquistor as a slave being an issue but, it's not really the problem. you can play as a human or a sith pure blood. It's not being alien. it's being a slave. Thanaton himself once a slave is a notable hypocrite because of this.
You're right, human lives matter too!
You keep pronouncing Dashard in an odd way. They say it out loud in the game, so that shows how it's pronounced. Also he must have been a powerful Sith indeed if he can turn human at will. :P
