The amount of flexibility and freedom in time management SMU gives really is one of its best qualities - especially if you're an aspiring entrepreneur 😊 I graduated back in 2019 and have been running a few cafes since then. I would never have been to go through covid times if I had just started out in 2019 itself - the 4 years prior in SMU gave me ample time to slowly learn, experiment and solidify many ideas and processes. This is all while going to class, ccas and other personal activities. Really encourage those who originally have these kind of open and vocal personalities as well as want to have more of a head start in the "making connections" and hustle life experience to consider SMU as the place to go to further grow in those aspects!
I think you really see the value in that focus on presentation in this video - the skill of presenting well is not just applicable to the workplace but literally in other aspects of your life when you want to articulate your points and words to people
wah this video just made my decide that SMU is the uni I'll put all my hopes and dreams on, will be finishing poly real soon and most of my friends and family members were from SMU. And plus point, pretty damn near my house so heck yeahhh
@@Dargoyaki thanks for replying 😆. I got a question ...does nus, ntu, smu focus more on your academic achievements when it comes to your application or do they focus more on other aspects of your application?
@@kyriambombo4930 I think it largely depends on the course you're pursuing but generally NUS and NTU focus more on your academics. Though there are still certain academic requirements that you must meet to be considered for certain courses like Med or Law
God! I was thinking about asking questions from students about SMU computer science today, UA-cam algorithm’s getting a bit creepy now, stay out of my thoughts! Still gotta ask about Computer Science curriculum tho, since no one studies CS in this video
Hello, I love your videos so much . I've been watching your series on uni in Singapore.. I'm just curious, I hardly see any black person or African in Singapore uni. As a Nigerian processing to do my graduate programmes in Singapore at either NUS or SMU. Can you do an interview of any black in any othus schools so we Africans can really know what is like and how they really got in.. Cos I rarely see any black and.. I'm just curious to know.. Thank you
Fun Fact: In Germany, class participation usually makes up to 70% of your final grade. Here in Singapore, you guys are like stressed about 20% lmao. But I can understand why it can be quite frustrating.
@@thespacejedi considered proper by this "Chee Kit C" youtube account, or by a formal, quality controlled Singapore representative employer's survey? just trying to understand bro
You know, I noticed I never mentioned that I wasn't going to do the other universities Also, you do know that... you can do the interviews too????????????

There is such a clear difference in how well spoken all of them are compared to NUS & NTU. Like literally impressed.

I absolutely agreed. I was from Ntu. I am 49.

There are also well spoken people in NUS and NTU too xD

no regrets cos smu near my house. sleep > uni ranking
SLEEP > UNI RANKING
For someone who lives in South Africa and wants to do the education in Singapore this was really helpful 😘
Glad it helped 😘

Bro the guy and the girl were so damn well spoken. Especially the guy goddamn
That’s literally what I told them too haha
Sis went there and said it was right choice, no regrets. It's true that companies tend to favour SMU students when hiring.
I've heard about this as well especially in Business
You should interview a wider variety of SMU students too!
Maybe next time :P too many people makes the video too long
Thanks for the video! Looking to apply for SMU, broaden my perspective

Although there is one girl studying IS but still gotta ask in terms of math and science
