    Possibly the most accurate to the original playing and tone of little wing I've ever heard. Great sounding amp.

    Damn. Really compelling pitch for this amp. I've been driving myself nuts looking at different Marshall/Vox-derived heads and this is probably the nicest gain sound with humbuckers I've heard from any of 'em. Nice and bitey with enough thickness but without any tub. Great playing, too!

      Thank you! It does a good job doing the "Marshall/vox thing" for a Fender.. very versatile amp! You get some of those British tones with the American (Fender) smoothness.

    I’ve got a supersonic 22 combo and love it’s versatility. I rarely use any pedals with the supersonic these days because it generally doesn’t need them.

      It’s such a great amp the Supersonic 22. I’m a owner as well and I use it with my R&B Soul rig but have used it for Blues, Rock and even Jazz jam sessions. It’s such a versatile amp.

    I have a super Sonic. It's an amazing amp, one of My favourite tones is in the normal side of the clean channel, a zvex box of rock, and the volume of my strat rolled a little back in the 4th possition.. GLOSSY CLASSIC strat tones, it's amazing.
    I also like how the other side reacts to pedals, i guess i don't use the dirty channel as much as i should given that i love dirty tones.
    It's great to see how different other people can use almost your exact same rig.
    Great video!

    Hi there from Australia 🦘
    I just put one of these on order I'm looking forward to getting it a supersonic 22 combo in blonde I was humming and hiring over a deluxe reverb or a twin and everyone's got one of those so I pulled the pin on the super Sonic
    Thank you for your review 🇭🇲👍

    Wow. Everything you played through that amp sounded great! Nice touch tone and playing too. I play a Strat and a Tele through my Twin Reverb, but it really does not sound 13:32 great unless it is too damn loud, which is also not great for my music room or my hearing, not to mention my wife!

    Great video, nice playing. That 335 sounds stellar. I need 2 or 3 talent booster overdrives and a clean boost with mine and could never get one setting to work with a Strat and PRS DGT. I need to have a rethink after watching this.

    I have the super sonic 22 combo in blonde like the one you have in the background. I love it. I’m not the guitar player you are but I have fun at home. BTW I’m 63 and play classic rock, working on my David Gilmore

    I have wanted this amp for years.I finally picked one up the other day.The head version.I love it!The only thing i am not happy with is the spring reverb.You have to crank it to 10 and it is still weak,no surfing with this amp.After doing some research i found out it is not the same reverb circuit they put in the DRRI and PRRI.Not sure why Fender would do that.

    • @TaylorSchlupp
      @TaylorSchlupp  2 роки тому +1

      Glad you are enjoying it! You might want to take out the Reverb unit and mess with some wires. The spring reverb inside of my black supersonic head goes in and out from time to time. But the one inside the blonde Super Sonic head has tons of Reverb, much like a Princeton

      @@TaylorSchlupp Thanks i will check that out.I did not want to get in there until i decide for sure i will keep it.Hopefully that is the issue.On 10 the reverb sounds like 4 or so on my '65 PRRI.

    Great vid mate. You had me hooked in the first minute with just the different sounds with the different guitars. A perfect demonstration of the amp. 👍👍👍
    Quick questions, I understand they’re a 22watt? You have yours on 6 and you don’t seem deafened by it so are they loud enough to gig with? Or are they more a bedroom amp?
    Is there any difference between the black and the cream coloured 22’s? Like on the Blues junior the tweed has a better speaker.

    • @TaylorSchlupp

      No difference in the amps. When I'm recording videos like this I run it into a cabinet simulator so it's not actually coming out of a real speaker cabinet. The sound is just coming out of my studio monitors so I can control it at whatever volume I want. When it's plugged into an actual 1x12 or 2x12 it's very loud

      been gigging mine ss22 (1x12) vol on 4-5.
      loud for BR but not club. small bar, i just turn amp to face wall generally.
      some quick tips: 5751 in v1 position to give more headroom when playing live.
      12ay7 in v4 to make dead silent if only playing in home.
      think of this amp as a DRRI with more bottom end and no trem.
      also, replace the very weak thin rubber handle!

    • @chrishodgson4290
      @chrishodgson4290 Рік тому

      @@kulishekkulda3785 I found that swopping the V4 dropped the volume too much for a clean sound playing live, but the 5751 reduces the hiss in any case.

    I have an older SS 22 and it makes a pop sound when I change from clean to burn channel. Is there a fix out there for this? I love the tone but the pop is killing me.

    • @TaylorSchlupp
      @TaylorSchlupp  2 роки тому

      I'm not sure about that. I think both of mine are newer from the past 5 years. I never switch between clean and burn but when I have in the past I never had a popping sound. There's a Supersonic group on Facebook that I'm in. You might ask someone there. Hope that helps!

    Wow. Fender should give you a cut for every SS they sell. You really make that amp sing. Great tone and great playing. I'm considering the head. Can you recommend a 1x12 cab that would work well?

  • @evankeal

    Nice, I use mine entirely differently (both channels, limited guitar volume changing), but I will have to give your single channel method a try.

    • @TaylorSchlupp

      I try to be a very dynamic player. With the band I'm in and what I play I can't have my volume at the same level all the time. That's why this works for me

    Does the clean channel break up at all or remain completely clean?

    • @TaylorSchlupp
      @TaylorSchlupp  Рік тому

      It will break up if you push it hard enough. And it gets pretty loud (no master volume). It's not a pleasant sounding break up to me. I never used the clean side.
