Using too many wast mitts is not a crazy thing. It saves a lot of water since you get rid of the other bucket. Especially for those who wash their cars in wash bays like me, this is the best option as it is faster. Besides it is safer compared to two bucket method as you never convey any dirt from panel to the soapy solution in the bucket, wash mitts are always clean. Promote to one bucket with multiple wash mitts instead of two buckets :)
I agree 100%, especially as a business i prefer this way. Promoting a higher priced wash alone it only makes sense to be efficient and do what’s right in the end.
Using two buckets you essentially reuse the mitt, so it’s efficient .. using one bucket with many mitts you increase speed but to the cost of many mitts. So what if you do a lot of cars a day, how many times would you use the one mitt or every other car another mitt? No method is better or worse its just a trade off and every use case is different
@@ivo7597 Like anything in life its a trade off, but if you're charging for premium washes you want efficiency and less chance of scratching. To get your mitt truly clean its not efficient the amount of time it takes and being mobile you're in a race against time aka the sun. In the end its best you work as quick as you can.
Great Video, really appreciate you talking about the project while you were actually doing the process. Especially Love your BMW, definitely a Sharp Ride.. 🔥🔥🔥
Mouhaha I thought the same and expect it, wouldn't work well to apply their coating afterwards if it was the case. The product has a clear acid smell, similar to other waterspot remover but I tested carpro spotless wouldnt do the same but has definitive ''in the family'' kind of scent. Cheers brother thanks for watching as usual.
Great video. I agree too that the DIY water spot remover is the best. I just revived a coating that hadn’t been maintained in a year using the same method as you. I too have been using detail popo microfibres, great value for the price.
Hey Steve, glad we like the same stuff! I just wish popo would have something similar to TRC 365 edgeless and their line would be the only thing I use. Cheers my friend!
Nice work. I used the DIY decon towel with BH Korrosol (i emailed to make sure it was solvent free) and the experience and results are superb. Definitely looking to get more DIY stuff. Thanks again
Hey Pigeon thanks tuning in as usual, glad you did your homework, we should mention to others that some other brands Iron remover destroy clay and synthetic decon media. Thanks for watching my friend!
Thanks for sharing Frank. The clay towel looks interesting, I’ve never used one yet, it’s always been mild clay bars for me so far, if it really doesn’t marr then that’s great. You see a lot of mixed reports with various clay towels so it’s hard to decide. I’ve had mixed results with water spot removers, one time I used Carpro but maybe did something wrong, as it completely killed the coating where I applied and nothing since has ever brought it back in that area, it’s flat as a pancake 🤔
Hey Ally thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts and experience! Honestly I've had marring, marks from every piece of clay or synthetic media before, for some reasons the DIY towel is the 1st that doesn't do that, even with rinseless only as lub. I guess the magic is in the material they use. I have carpro spotless in my cabinet and unfortunately it never did much for me. They don't advertise it as a tool to bring back coating either 😏. I have to get more DIY mineral deposit remover this stuff is addicting. Cheers!
Salut Franck! Bon week-end JM!
Lets go Frank, just as I was looking to decon my car as well! 👌🏻 I'm as crazy as you when it comes to washing with a thousend mitts, I even fold the cuff in on itself so it won't scratch or get in the way #tip
yeah right on Rowland! We're not alone brother, on really curvy panel like the bumpers and trunk I like using it as mitt from time to time. Good tip, Cheers man
Nice vid! At this point, roughly how long had the ceramic coating been installed on the BMW? A couple weeks ago I installed DIY Detail "The Stack". Absolutely love it!
Hey viper, thanks for tuning in once again! I had installed Gyeon CanCoat in July 2023 if im not mistaken, but constantly topped it a variety of products trying to get it going after winter. Glad you love the stack, you 8 +3 or the 5+ 3?
Hey Yzer thanks for watching as usual, check out my MF towel video here, I have top 3 towel, 1 of them does everything ua-cam.com/video/FqPIHFDGbKY/v-deo.html
Dear Dogma, to me it makes no sense to spray a protectant on the wheels before you wash your car? I would wait until the final rinse of the entire car? Does that makes sense to you?
Hey hartland, I always did it this way because i'm not gonna use the same product for the paint in this particular scenario and I wanted the wheels done right away. I dont think it would change much of anything to apply the wheel sealant before or after the paint wash. Both methods would yield the same result imo. Cheers and thanks for watching

Hey man thanks for watching, appreciate you! Glad you liked it!
Recently switch to one bucket always using a fresh washmitt and I really like it !!
Hey Joshua, glad we have the same mindset, makes more sense than 2 bucket 1 mitt regardless! cheers my friend
Thank you for the vid Dogma!
Happy that you like it John, thanks for the usual support!
Can’t wait for the people saying that water spot remover has a beading agent in it to get here!
Yeah I need a gallon like asap.

I get all my TAC SYSTEM products from Carzilla 👍. I also use a Detail POPO 2 liter electric sprayer and I’ve used Detail POPO rinseless wash before.
