This was another one I did by ear. Actually the first one that I did, before Caffeine and way before Guide My Way. With there not being a whole lot to keep track of, I figured it was a good one to start practising ear transcription. I have the background choir as neat chords, which probably means it's inaccurate, as Jeff doesn't do neat chords. But it sounds fine, so that's good enough for me.
Like with All Our Days before, i ran into an issue that this voice doesn't do quiet timbre well. But unlike AOD, it some a much higher dynamic range, and as other voices don't do loud nearly as well as this one, I couldn't just swap it out, so I resorted to making do. Also a common issue is the tempo change in the bridge, which I again resorted to just guessing.
As for the arranging, I knew early on I wanted the guitar to be more metal, so I changed up the chord voicing to a lower one. But as things then sounded undefined, I ended up just using single notes for the most part. For the orchestral elements; I opted to mostly forego strings this time and just stick with brass, as well as adding percussion and a choir.

@@RayaChan22 Heheh. The guitars are MIDI too. Everything is. I can't play any physical instruments, but I'm pretty good at emulating it, and getting better with every track.

Another banger
Old RWBY was honestly great. Though some parts of the new RWBY I like but a lot of it I do not.
I seem to be something of a odd one out in that I generally like the later seasons better. 😅 Perhaps due to not watching the show as it first aired. (I got into it in 2020)
@@NailikNoteworks Oh boy. I can't blame you though since the animation has gotten better but still miss Monty Oum from the earlier days of RWBY but hey that's just my opinion.
@@pumahomer9135 Have you given V9 a watch? A common point I've heard about it is that the fight scene have that Oum energy. Which I'd say especially holds up in the final fight.
