Absolutely great games, maybe police is not as advanced as in mafia 1 but it’s still good for what’s its supposed to be. Pure chaotic fun
Fun fact:in GTA 3 the LCPD Police Cars were originally blue and white but were changed due to the 9/11 attacks. There is a version that still has the original cop car in the intro
I have so much memories of me fighting the cops, the FBI, the vice squads, the swats and the army in Vice City. I would get up at 7:00, eat breakfast, brush my theet etc, then play Vice City until 7:55, then get off, hop on my bike and pedal as fast as I can to get to school just in time around 8:01-02 to join the line entering the school. Sometimes, if I would arrive too late but I didn't care. It's always so nostaligic to see any footage of Vic

I was just these days reviewing your videos, just super underated content with great editing. Now, he brings a great video about Rockstar's most epic games, your every video is just a Masterpiece for this kind of more technical and curious Players in mechanics/features.

Everyone misses this one detail/bug about the cops in VICE CITY only. And its a helpful tactic while they're chasing you.

When in pursuit, if you perform a drive by on any occuring police units from 2 stars on. The police units will freeze and stop chasing you while driving. Some instances any police units carrying 2 or 4 people. (SWAT, FBI) the driver of the police unit will only get out.
I play vice city habitually and have been using this tactic forever. Nobody on UA-cam points this out.
Great stuff as usual! If you cover the Saints' Row games, you should probably cover the rival gangs' behavior as well, since both Notoriety meters function under similar parameters (and the various gangs use different weapons than police most of the time).
Such a great analysis as always. Hopefully we'll get another video when the Remastered Trilogy comes. Keep up the good work!

Here's an issue I have with gta 3's law enforcement, the army frickin beams you in 1 second.
That's true. That's why they changed it immediately in the next installment and kept it that way onwards

So, uh, I've noticed some errors throughout your video, good work btw.
In GTA III, You instantly lose your Wanted Stars after using Pay n' Spray. You also won't be seeing Cops chasing Criminals/NPCs - So, you won't be getting those "$50 Good Citizen" bonuses.
But! But! (Off-Topic btw)
Here is an interesting fact about GTA III Criminals,
They do have the ability to hijack you and drive away with your car. They also have the ability to mug civilians, which, that is an opportunity for easy money because you can just point your gun at the mugger, and they'll immediately give up the money without any hesitation nor fighting back.
How do you rob mugger on pc?
In vice city, tommy can rob money in tool shop by pointing gun towards shopkeeper. Only criminals in black jacket, red jacket and brown jacket can hijack your car or npc car.

Some pieces of cut content regarding police in 3, VC and SA
GTA 3
-originally you could get a wanted level for speeding and running a red light
Pedestrians were planned to run towards a payphone and call the police if you're spotted doing a crime
-police car and enforcer were white and blue with different livery, same one as seen in LCS
GTA VC
-police car was originally white with a different livery being a exact replica of the actual Miami Police Department car
GTA SA
-motorbike cops would've had different models in each city just like the normal cops
-HPV1000, Police Maverick and Enforcer would've had LSPD/LVPD/SFPD markings instead of SAPD or LSPD on the Enforcer
-desert cops were once present in Bone County while in the final game the rural cops were used for both country side and desert

In gta 3 and vice city, police stars will not disappear if you save a game.
Another disappear star is that you can change dress only applicable in vice city and san andreas. But vice city stars disappears only up to 2 stars.
Interesting fact is that in san andreas, if you change haircut or change mustache or change eye glass, stars will flashing even in 6 stars and disappears.

Woah, I never knew cops in GTA VC actually threw spike strips! That's cool! It's unfortunate they don't do that in V, instead of there just being spike roadblocks you can easily avoid, hopefully the next GTA has a more in depth police system
GTA V has bare minimum police behavior, pretty much just shoot and that's it. 90's technology.
There is something you missed
In GTA VC and 3 You won't lose your weapons in the mobile port
In GTA sa if you have Girlfriend with Barbara You won't lose your weapons
You can also get 3 star instantly if you Got caught by the police officer the impound lot
Even though police cars cannot spawn in 5-6 stars they can spawn at scripted Areas where they can do a Suprise attack
You can also get 2 star instantly if you fail home invasion or wake up the homeowner if you have more than 3 crates (The Police Officers are considered Scripted And they cannot despawn until you kill them)
In GTA sa having 4 stars or higher they send the hydra jets on you if you are flying however hydra jets cannot send on you if you use a Airplane
In GTA VC even you have 3 stars higher the vice squad will still chase you
In GTA sa and VC you can also destroy The Helicopter Instantly by using a sniper rifle (Note:You must hit the chopper weak spot)
In GTA Sa If you use a parachute and killing any police or pedestrian you wont get more than 1 star
In GTA 3 if you have wanted level and while a police officer chase you in a Gang Territory Area The Gangs Won't attack if there are no police officers the gang will attack you
You can also get 5 star instantly if you enter a restricted area in LV and SF
You can also get 4 star instantly if you enter the island you have not unlocked
If you got busted by The Police In Vice city and spawned in the police station ken Rosenberg Dialouge will play
You can get 6 Stars Instantly if you type the cheat code BRINGITON (Gta sa Only)
If you leave the building the police officer will spawn (It Depends of your wanted level the higher the wanted level the more police officers will spawn)
Police in SA will also spawn in restaurants and shoot the player if you aim the cashier, fired a shot, Attack a Pedestrian or Officer all Police Officers Will Put their hands up and stops attacking you and all pedestrian will take cover and put their hands up (Really Funny Logic)
You Can Also Lose Your Wanted Level When your territory Is Under Attack (This Only Works In The Remastered Version)

No need, they both have exactly the same wanted level system as in Vice City (minus the Vice Squad appearing at 3 stars and up in LCS).

The VCPD police cars changes speed based on wanted level
For example
They cant keep up at 1-2 stars
But even if you have a infernus you cannot outrun the cops at 4-6 wanted levels
In GTA you get arrested when attempting to carjack a police cruiser right in front of the driver hopefully you might go for the passenger side. Although you might track the tension when actually going cross states when you haven’t completed a mission that is not been done.

here’s the thing i like the fbi and the vice squad but the issue is the fbi are so overpowered when they show up your screwed the only way to hear them speak is even if you have god mode on otherwise your died but the fbi chases are fun

The gta 3 police car is actualy ment to be blue and white, the black meaning to be blue but due to a texture problem, almost all the cars are black or dark, that includes all cop cars.
the cars were supposed to be blue and white, but were redesigned and had the colours changed due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks
it isn't a texture problem though
@@i_love_games110 i understand that, but it wouldnt make sense to change the police cars from a realistic color to a black and white cos of 9/11, GTA 4 style police cars we're also involved in 9/11 too.
@@NOOSE2008 they did it along with other changes so it would resemble new york less, so that it wouldn't feel like a terrorist sim set in new york right after a real terrorist attack in new york
and gta 4 was years after as opposed to gta 3 being only months after the attacks
@@NOOSE2008 also the nypd had a different livery on 9/11, the liveries in gta 4 were based on the current nypd livery, which was made AFTER 9/11
