- Dodge Ram Speaker Upgrade: A customer of mine wanted his factory speakers upgraded to balance out his system. I had these rockford 6x9s in my ram. Replaced them with T-2652-s 6.5" components. Wow is all i can say. Night and day different. Crystal clear and much improved midbass.

Did you add an amp? If not, did you still notice better quality sound?
The T-2652-s 6.5" components fit in the front doors? I thought Crutchfield only showed them fitting in the back doors. Also which amp do you power them with and tweeters in the sails? I am thinking about doing this soon. thanks!

What a hack job! I cringed thinking of every scratch on the painted surfaces and every Marr there must have been on the plastics using
screwdrivers as pry tools on the finished interior surfaces! Then cutting the factory wiring only to crimp on some cheap generic spade terminals! Wonder if the owner saw this vid!?
Cool video bruh i just brought pioneer 4way 6×9 speakers and 3.5 for the dash board too and 12inch subwoofer to go under the back seat. Iam up grading all my speakers

Did you do anything with the dashboard tweeters? In the factory system, the tweeters act as the crossover sending only mid and low frequency to the door.
did you have to modify the front door cavity any? mine is partially blocked with the window slider .

Becausebass362 I was wondering if you would know why I get a a noise from the speakers off that very same truck? Because I put in Kenwood 3way speakers and now they are making engine noise? Any thoughts?

I'm curious why not replace all with 3way 6x9 . why the 2way ?
I am looking at doing this same thing with my truck but can find out what the max watt speaker I can put in before needing an amp. Also, 6x9's are good all around correct? I have a Ram 2500 2010.
Really any but any speaker of course really comes alive with an amp and yes 6x9 will do just fine
Becausebass362 thank you for the help. I know you said the with an amp it comes alive but just personal preference, do you think it is really worth the money and work for an amp or should I put it towards a screen for my truck.

Any major screen recommendations? FYI I do have an android, not apple phone. From what you are saying though I probably will not get an amp at the moment when I delete my truck, if it is too loud, I may need an amp to hear.
Hey man, why did you use 2-way and 3-way speakers? Im guessing also, this is not an infinity system so bass is not dedicated to front doors? Thanks👍🏻
The front speakers on my 2013 Dodge Ram sounds too bad, the highs and mids does not sounds an the lows sound are very bad, right and left doors. The rear speakers sounds very good. Is the Alpine equipment. Can you or everybody help me to solve this problem? Thanks

I see you didn't change out the dash speakers. I made the mistake of not checking the ohm rating of those dash speakers (8 ohm factory) and I put in some 4 ohm replacements. They were entirely too loud so I had to change them back out until I can find some 4 ohm resistors or install a proper system.

Lucky, I was just about to replace these with 4 ohm speakers as I cannot find 8 ohm. Did you ever get yours in? What did you finally do

Did your front speakers fit flush? I put the same speakers in my 09 ram, I had to put a 1/4 " spacer behind them to keep the speaker from hitting the window bracket.
Eric Gunter that’s normal, most aftermarket speakers sit deeper inside the mount because of the larger magnet,deeper frequency response require more vibration space.
I got a 2010 dodge ram single cab and I installed some infinity 6x9 on my doors but for some reason it wont power the tweeter on the speaker.. I tried a kicker 6x9 and same thing. Itll power the speaker but not the tweeter in the middle. Then I tried connecting a tweeter straight to the 2 wires and no sound comes out of the tweeter... i have a stock head unit , maybe cause of that ?
ELAYE tweeter signal isn't sent to the doors. It's only sent to the dash speakers.
I wish my rear doors accepted 6x9s...

I think your question was in reference to the "factory" Alpine system as opposed to an aftermarket Alpine?

You don’t a lot of want bass in your mids and highs. Idk why everyone even thinks that’s a good thing. You want the bass to come from a sub and all your higher frequencies to come from your mids and tweets
Why are you and few others installing a pair of 3ways and a pair of 2ways 6×9's ? Can you not install four pair's of 2ways or 3ways or 4ways ?

false… you don’t want a bunch of “mid bass” you’re mids and tweets should run higher frequency and add a sub for the bass, you shouldn’t even be buying “mids” thinking about the amount of bass.
But idk why they didn’t run the t1693 all the way around… yeah the mounting debth is a problem that’s why they make spacers like I have in my ram… they also make factory speaker clips to be able to run aftermarket spacers to do a professional job… or you can be even more professional and require the whole truck with some 14g atleast to all speakers into a 4 channel amp. Or run a pac ch41, and run a 4 channel amp to factory wiring…. Just saying this video made me cringe…

magik1ful the factory radio doesn't send higher frequencies, like the tweeter. That signal is sent to the dash speaker. An aftermarket radio will sum the signals and send the, to the doors and the dash.
Using screwdrivers to remove plastic trim!? Man trim panel removal tools are cheap and don't leave marks in / on plastic!Where ya'll at ? I wanna make sure I DON"T send anybody there for audio upgrades!

What are the best speakers I could get to fit on this truck front and back? Also what amp would you recommend to run them with?

using 2 different sets of 6x9s on the same amp leads to an imbalanced system. the amplifier will not be a happy camper.
I think the front speakers have less room than the back. But I thought the same thing.
If your gonna spend the money buy powers or punch pro speakers not just punch

Wtf dude, do not use a screw driver on your panels. They make some cheap as s panel tools for that.
