As a French Code Lyoko fan, I am so happy to see that so many people, all around the World, enjoyed et still enjoy the show ! The show was my favourite during my childhood !

Yeah, honestly I'm kind of wondering what qualifies as a "big success". I remember cringing really hard at this show when I saw it as a kid, and I wasn't very critical of anything back then. I might have to re watch it and see if it's as bad as I remember.

This show has still got so much potential. They could make video games and maybe even a movie and it would still being relevant. It was really an amazing show, so underrated.

Love the show but I always thought Aelita took so much time getting to the tower in some episodes because she has to look majestic while deactivating the tower
Evolution explained that as having to be calm and concentrate on flying up through the tower. Makes sense, since you seem to have to put intent into the activation codes and such even in the cartoon. Note when Aelita took information from a tower teleporting William into the Siberian base in season four (I re-watched it recently, first part that came into my head). You can access a tower's programming the same way you deactivate it, but with a hint of intentions in your touch.
That makes sense. There's some episodes where she needs concentration but all she has to do is put in the code and it's frustrating because she does that all the time she should be used to it
When I went to rewatch it, I just started laughing the first time she did the flip that became common place. "Aelita, this is not the time to be showing off"
I laughed so hard when I found out that William grows up to be an edgy Justin Bieber. Man Reloaded sounded awesome. It's a damned shame that we got that abomination known of Evolution instead.
I've read them. They're ok. There's some major inconsistencies but still miles better than Evolution. The first book is just a recap of the original 4 seasons so 90% of that book's chapters are skippable.
In my personal opinion, Evolution wasn't THAT bad. It was no where near as good as the original, but still not the worst show ever. I feel the main drawback was the live action and the different style of Lyoko itself. I found the story to be highly intriguing and kind of hope they someday finish the story, preferably going back to fully animated at the same time.
I'm french and i am very proud that a show like Code Lyoko is so famous (seriously ? 160 countries ?!) all around the world and i love how you pronounce french it's so cute ! For one thing to me code lyoko evolution was boring & took out most of the characters. & the actors looked nothing like the code lyoko characters in the show especially The teachers the lyoko warriors & sissi I know a actress who would be a good sissi & who is hot AF.
In China the show actually feels more like there isn't a main plot going on, and each episode is like a complete story that starts with Xana invading, and ends with a time reverse. It's just, Xana Awakening and later seasons aren't imported to China at all, and thus nobody seems to aware of that there's a main plot to the series at the time it's aired on TV. The Chinese localization is also kinda weird with some of the translations. The show is called 虚幻勇士, Virtual Warriors, XANA is translated as 夏之纳 which makes no sense at all, the AI girl is called 董美娃, which might be a transcription maybe. The "Code Lyoko" shown at the tower terminal is translated as "密码：兰科", which sounds like "Password: Lyoko".
if money wasn't a constant issue and if the creators didn't constantly want to change everything, the show could've continued properly. how could they not know the live action crap would tick off the fans. they should have left it alone after season four.

I LOVED this show to death as a kid, and still do to this day, I have every episode of the original animated show, collectable figurines (only sold in Australia by the looks of it) computer "games" (basically wallpapers and a couple of episodes as well as some behind the scenes things) and Quest for Infinity Also if you remember the picture of the Lyoko Warriors from the show, my friends and I printed it out, framed it, and all still have it in our bedrooms to this day (we're all just about in our 20ies now) This show is one of the best things I've ever seen, I didn't know there were novels, so guess what I'm going to find now!

Man, a lot of these old french and canadian shows were my favorites during my childhood. Code Lyoko, Oban Star Racers, Totally Spies, Dragon Booster, Martin Mystery, Galactik Football, Silverwing, Class of the Titans, Get Ed, etc. Too bad most of these went out of air in my country way too soon and could never watch their endings. Maybe I will make the time to find them online soon. The few ones I did find online have been really worth it.

Would honestly rather people didn't know about it. I'd prefer the main series reboot get passed onto someone else, as Rebirth honestly just does not look any good at all.

France makes a load of great animation, tbh. A Monster in Paris flew waaaaaaay under the radar, and everything that didn't, everyone forgot was French. I mean, nobody associates Despicable Me with France even though Illumination is a French company. It makes sense that France would be good at animated cartoons though - after all, France, alongside Belgium, had the biggest influence on European comics and cartoons. Tintin, Asterix and Obelix, the Smurfs, Lucky Luke, Boule et Bille, Spike and Suzy, Titeuf, the list goes on. After Japan and America, they're some of the world's best in cartooning.
37 - Aelita's actual hair color is light red. More obvious in the novel red, but the show made her seem pink to stand out more. In general she is supposed to be a light redhead. it makes sense as all characters have actual haircolor except for Odd who dyed it
I hope they are going to bring back Code Lyoko in the animated version. I like that version better, than the live action one. And when I was little, I used to be a HHHHUUUGE fan of this TV show. But I didn't exactly knew the name of it at the time. Whenever I wanted to watch, I would go up to my mom and say "Mommy, can you put on that TV show with the boy with yellow hair and glasses?" And the weird thing about it, is that she knew exactly what TV I was talking about. I found out the name of the TV show back in 2013. It's 2018 about to be 2019, and I still love this show. Sorry, but I'm a bit of a nit picking stickler for accuracy: 1) I'm pretty sure the school is pronounced "KAH-dic" instead of "KAY-dic". I haven't seen the French version in many years so maybe they pronounced it differently, but I remember how they pronounced it in the English version. 2) "Renault" is pronounced "ruh-NO" with a French accent, or "reh-NO" in English. 3) The name of the live action season is "Evolution", not "Evolutions" (although the correct name was used from Fact #62 onward). 4) Aurebesh in Star Wars is the written language, not spoken. They usually speak Galactic Basic. Also, Aurabesh is not just in Episode IV (which replaced the English text in the original release of the film), it's in all the Star Wars movies and canon. 5) 17:01 is a clip of Principal Delmas when referring to Franz Hopper.
I only was able to watch this when I was super young but I loved it. Then suddenly it stopped showing. I never even knew the black haired guy became a part of the group until his video. The last episode I remember was when the pink haired girl became real.
I just rewatched it on netflix usa and 1. I dont remember season 4 at all. 2. There is no live action version. And acording to the internet it never got translated to English. Top 10 list of reasons why having multiple languages sucks.

Love the show but I always thought Aelita took so much time getting to the tower in some episodes because she has to look majestic while deactivating the tower

Evolution explained that as having to be calm and concentrate on flying up through the tower. Makes sense, since you seem to have to put intent into the activation codes and such even in the cartoon. Note when Aelita took information from a tower teleporting William into the Siberian base in season four (I re-watched it recently, first part that came into my head). You can access a tower's programming the same way you deactivate it, but with a hint of intentions in your touch.
That makes sense. There's some episodes where she needs concentration but all she has to do is put in the code and it's frustrating because she does that all the time she should be used to it
When I went to rewatch it, I just started laughing the first time she did the flip that became common place. "Aelita, this is not the time to be showing off"

I laughed so hard when I found out that William grows up to be an edgy Justin Bieber. Man Reloaded sounded awesome. It's a damned shame that we got that abomination known of Evolution instead.

I've read them. They're ok. There's some major inconsistencies but still miles better than Evolution. The first book is just a recap of the original 4 seasons so 90% of that book's chapters are skippable.
In my personal opinion, Evolution wasn't THAT bad. It was no where near as good as the original, but still not the worst show ever.
I feel the main drawback was the live action and the different style of Lyoko itself. I found the story to be highly intriguing and kind of hope they someday finish the story, preferably going back to fully animated at the same time.

This is what happens when studios don't have any ideas but want quick and easy money.
In China the show actually feels more like there isn't a main plot going on, and each episode is like a complete story that starts with Xana invading, and ends with a time reverse. It's just, Xana Awakening and later seasons aren't imported to China at all, and thus nobody seems to aware of that there's a main plot to the series at the time it's aired on TV.
The Chinese localization is also kinda weird with some of the translations. The show is called 虚幻勇士, Virtual Warriors, XANA is translated as 夏之纳 which makes no sense at all, the AI girl is called 董美娃, which might be a transcription maybe. The "Code Lyoko" shown at the tower terminal is translated as "密码：兰科", which sounds like "Password: Lyoko".

I LOVED this show to death as a kid, and still do to this day, I have every episode of the original animated show, collectable figurines (only sold in Australia by the looks of it) computer "games" (basically wallpapers and a couple of episodes as well as some behind the scenes things) and Quest for Infinity
Also if you remember the picture of the Lyoko Warriors from the show, my friends and I printed it out, framed it, and all still have it in our bedrooms to this day (we're all just about in our 20ies now)

Man, a lot of these old french and canadian shows were my favorites during my childhood. Code Lyoko, Oban Star Racers, Totally Spies, Dragon Booster, Martin Mystery, Galactik Football, Silverwing, Class of the Titans, Get Ed, etc. Too bad most of these went out of air in my country way too soon and could never watch their endings. Maybe I will make the time to find them online soon. The few ones I did find online have been really worth it.

When I read, I see the scenes in my mind, with the people as described. Plenty of people do this. So essentially yes, you do see the character. Just not with your eyes.

A Monster in Paris flew waaaaaaay under the radar, and everything that didn't, everyone forgot was French. I mean, nobody associates Despicable Me with France even though Illumination is a French company.
It makes sense that France would be good at animated cartoons though - after all, France, alongside Belgium, had the biggest influence on European comics and cartoons. Tintin, Asterix and Obelix, the Smurfs, Lucky Luke, Boule et Bille, Spike and Suzy, Titeuf, the list goes on. After Japan and America, they're some of the world's best in cartooning.

37 - Aelita's actual hair color is light red. More obvious in the novel red, but the show made her seem pink to stand out more. In general she is supposed to be a light redhead. it makes sense as all characters have actual haircolor except for Odd who dyed it
I hope they are going to bring back Code Lyoko in the animated version. I like that version better, than the live action one. And when I was little, I used to be a HHHHUUUGE fan of this TV show. But I didn't exactly knew the name of it at the time. Whenever I wanted to watch, I would go up to my mom and say "Mommy, can you put on that TV show with the boy with yellow hair and glasses?" And the weird thing about it, is that she knew exactly what TV I was talking about. I found out the name of the TV show back in 2013. It's 2018 about to be 2019, and I still love this show. I really do hope they continue the show... BUT IN THE CARTOON VERSION
Sorry, but I'm a bit of a nit picking stickler for accuracy:
1) I'm pretty sure the school is pronounced "KAH-dic" instead of "KAY-dic". I haven't seen the French version in many years so maybe they pronounced it differently, but I remember how they pronounced it in the English version.
2) "Renault" is pronounced "ruh-NO" with a French accent, or "reh-NO" in English.
3) The name of the live action season is "Evolution", not "Evolutions" (although the correct name was used from Fact #62 onward).
4) Aurebesh in Star Wars is the written language, not spoken. They usually speak Galactic Basic. Also, Aurabesh is not just in Episode IV (which replaced the English text in the original release of the film), it's in all the Star Wars movies and canon.
5) 17:01 is a clip of Principal Delmas when referring to Franz Hopper.
I only was able to watch this when I was super young but I loved it. Then suddenly it stopped showing. I never even knew the black haired guy became a part of the group until his video. The last episode I remember was when the pink haired girl became real.

I just rewatched it on netflix usa and 1. I dont remember season 4 at all. 2. There is no live action version. And acording to the internet it never got translated to English. Top 10 list of reasons why having multiple languages sucks.
