    YOU ARE GREAT! There are millions of woman with graves. try holy basil tea is really good. my wife love it. stress will cause a lot of problems. But i believe everything will be ok. the olympic runner Gail devers diagnosed in the 1990. still here doing and looking great. Grenadas own kirani james graves too. Missy Elliott and kelly osbourne etc. so many people. but not everybody have courage like you. You got this! We are all in the some type of battle. God first! God know about stress and worry. that's why we give it to him to take control.

      Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I love my teas so I will definitely give that one a try.
      Yes I recently became aware of Gail devers. I grew up knowing her since I also ran track and field but never clicked until recently her illness was actually Graves. Yes Kirani James too. It’s humbling to know that people see the positive in my videos because it’s those people that actually inspire me to show that life doesn’t stop at diagnosis. Blessings to you and your family 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

    thank you for this video! i feel a lot less alone with my condition after watching it :) my thyroid values are almost back to normal but i’m struggling with extreme anxiety and stomach issues and my doctor says it’s unrelated :/ i’ve done quite a bit of research and it doesn’t seem to be… i only recently found out that my anxiety is related to my thyroid, i used to think i was anxious for reasons i couldn’t find. so i’m glad there is a community of people out there dealing with similar things!

      Yh I that was something that was very strange at the begin for me too. I know I always had some level of anxiety by it was off when I was a tally going through my thyroid flares. The anxiety is something that has definitely stuck around for me even as I’ve gotten better. I’m always exploring ways to manage it. Wishing the best for you

    I was just diagnosed in January. My biggest issue right now is not getting any sleep😕 any suggestions?

    • @ItsBonnieAdams

      What helped me was first not eating anything heavy too late at night, drinking a non caffeinated tea (or just hot water if I’ve already brushed my teeth), and most importantly unplugging from everything. I will try to unplug from social media as much as possible about 30 mins before I plan to sleep,
      Then what actually helped me fall asleep was meditating through the app Headspace. They have awesome sleep casts and soundscapes that really helped take my mind off of what’s going on my body. If that interests you my tip is always set it longer than you think you’d need.

      Also a weighted blanket and ergonomically shaped pillow is the best investment you can make for sleep.
      I think the whole point is to make your environment as comfortable for you possible because so much is already so chaotic in your body.
      But even with all of this, the insomnia and restlessness can still keep creeping through. Just keep thinking of way me that will immediately help you throughout the night. That could even mean having some ice water in a flask bedside for the nights sweats.

      I highly recommend Dr Onyeneke on UA-cam he cured me from hyperthyroidism which I have been suffering from for the past 6 years now.

    Hey,
    I was also diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last month,
    I'm also a little frustrated from Medical department because the symptoms was from many years ago but doctor never diagnosed. I want your opinion abut treatment.
    What kind of treatment to follow ? Medicine, radio active iodine or surgery?

    • @G-TAG225
      @G-TAG225 3 роки тому +1

      Hi I wouldn't jump too quickly to take iodine treatment or to have it removed. I was diagnosed in March this year and I now am taking a really low dose and my levels are now in the normal range. So I habe another blood test in 4 weeks time.

      Hey love, although I don’t know your specific situation I would suggest you always go the medicine route of drug therapy first. You’ve gone so long without your thyroid getting any management, the pills may give you some gradual relief of your symptoms and possibly a path to remission. As in many cases, success it’s not instant and your doctor should know this. so if there is a rush to surgery and RAI just get a second opinion. As in my situation I was near storm when I was diagnosed and it took months about a year for me to get clear signs of relief.

      @@G-TAG225 yes I second all of this. The only thing my initial drs were good for me was test often approx 1-2 times a month.

      Yes it's work. green coriander+seed mix juice 30ml 2times daily for 30days & f**k the grave.

    What do substitute bread with? I have to let go of sugar and caffeine. I'm at the point I'm scared to eat anything but fruits and vegetables

    Did you lose more hair on medication?

    • @ItsBonnieAdams
      @ItsBonnieAdams  3 роки тому

      Hmm It’s a little hard to say. But the short answer is yes. Before being diagnosed with Graves the quality in my hair for about year was declining and shedding more than normal. Months after my diagnosis when I was being improperly medicated by my old doctor it was coming out in clumps everyday and I was also at my sickest with hyperthyroidism. But from what I know with others story hair loss can be a symptom of meds and/or the disease…. It depends on the person I assume.
