I too was born there in 1954 and lived in Nottingham Village until 1977 when I joined the USAF. I lived at 2609 Bellview Drive right along the woods and the Poquessing Creek. Which we all played and fished in the creek and many other things at the playground. I went to Samuel K. Faust elementary school, Cecilia Snyder MS and then finally to Bensalem Senior High on Hulmeville Road. Graduated from high school in 1972. My older sister went to the Cornwells School before Faust was built and graduated from the Bensalem Senior High School that was on Street Road before it became Neil Armstrong. I remember Street Road was a two-lane road with farm fields everywhere. Great memories growing up there with many things to do and with lots of neighborhood friends. Such great memories of days gone by.
Amazing, my family came to Bensalem in 1956, I was 6 years old. I went to St Charles, lived across hulmeville road from buhle airport, was a lifeguard at St. francis, served as an alter boy at St. Elizibeth convent for 6 30 mass, swam in the Delaware at DiGeralemo's pansy Farm with my old classmate Gene. All the video takes me back to that time. Thank you.
Move to June Ave. Eddington 1945. Went to grade school St. Charles and high school at the old high school on Bristol Pike part of the first graduating class from new high school on street rd. What a great place to grow up many great memories it certainly was a different time.
Random Weirdo! I have lived in Bensalem, PA for many years and it is nice. However, our career politician mayor has allowed excessive construction of new homes and businesses. We have become an extension of Philadelphia. All the farms are gone! The mayor sold out to developers on properties he did not own. He got filthy rich on our backs and he couldn’t care less! I can’t stand how he and his cronies created massive overcrowding.
@Bob: DiGirolamo has been Mayor practically forever. First elected in January of '94 & serving his current term until December of '21, what I want is: Is this bastard, at least from politics, ever going to retire?
Wow Cornwells Heights Station used to have a some kinda yard or switch track years before it turned into an parking lot and same as the walkway when you cross over to the parking lot

I lived there and this was unrecognizable to me.
Great stuff...I live in Nottingham and my family has since the 1960's, so this was a gem!
Wow. Didn't know there was a Esso next to the recently demolished Penn Motel.
Does anyone know if the garage in the beginning of this video is the original Eddington Supply? If not, then where was this taken? TIA!
The garage is the old municipal garage at 3800 Bensalem Blvd. It's now A&D Forklift
Wow, I could have sworn it was Eddington Supply. Thank you !

The old cornwells elementary school is now charter.
