Thinking that might be part of the PCV feedback system? Doing mine now, and that hose is not connected to a pipe. Mine has a plastic device that's pretty well locked into place. It is also on the part of the throttle body that does not have to be removed for cleaning. Different Strokes for different areas of cars, trucks and vans.
If your paying a mechanic, you're better off buying a new throttle body for $40 more vs paying for 20 minutes of cleaning at $200 an hour. Just a suggestion. Even if you do it yourself, it's worth looking at a new one for $132 bucks IMO.
Hot air is not good for power or economy. Heating the air is more of an emissions thing. I think I would have blocked them coolant hoses off and eliminated that.
I talked to a GM engineer once and he told me if the air is hotter the combustion is easier. Not sure how but that's what he told me. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros Combustion maybe 'looks' cleaner with hot air but colder air is more dense (higher oxygen content to make better power) so I would say the engineer was telling you what he wanted you to hear. Warm gasoline would atomize better and easier than cold fuel so they would likely have had better outcome keeping the air cold but warming the gasoline to around a constant 100° F for that better combustion efficiency without the power loss.
I honestly didn't think that many people liked the car. But I'll keep doing update videos, I just put one up recently. I try to do them once a month. Thanks for watching!
Wow, great work! I cleaned outside but had feeling it was inside that needs cleaned to improve air flow. Ill follow up
Thanks for watching!
I got it off my H2 runs like a champ!!!! Using steel wool is great to clean it up too
What is the tube you took off of the left side of the throttle body, mine ripped off and broke the connector, what would that he called

Hi 2CarPros what is that thing yu touched @ 1:20? Should it normally be that loose? Intake Air Purge??
Great video but did you have to replace the gasket or at least clean it
Yes replace
Do you clean as much as u can on the inside when the carburetor is off.
You can, as long as you don't drop anything down in the engine while the throttle body is off. It is risky. Thanks for watching!
Was thinking the same thing as Paul. Any updates on the Camaro?
I try to do them once a month! Thanks for watching :)
I need to change my gasket fir the housing? Where is the gasket on my 2013 gmc 2500 6.0 vortec
If it is in poor shape yes. It is between the throttle housing and the intake manifold. Thanks for watching!
Thank you it’s just a small circle gasket that I bought from the parts stokes already
Mine was way more dirty than yours and it's an 04 yukonxl 2500 6.0 didn't have any cables to remove.
That must be when GM went to drive by wire. This is drive by cable. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros but have to say after watching this took me total of 10 minutes and that was mostly scrubbing the gunk off of it.great step by step.

Thanks for watching Gustavo!
