@@ShawnDavies-o6h thanks! I don’t get too many of these jobs in simply because most of the time it’s cheaper to buy a new pair. However that being said after the repair, these are built a lot stronger and will last a lot longer than buying a new pair.
Timberland has high end models that use Vibram soles. Two notable boots called Timberland® x Nina Chanel Abney 6-Inch and 78 hiker Boot use a Goodyear welt. They both cost about $300.
You could probably told the guy that walmart is not where you buy work boots. Those look as cheap as they can get. Timberlands were not like that 25 years ago.
@@deadpresident78 unfortunately no timberland has gone down the drain as far as quality. But we were able to upgrade these to just like they used to make them.
Nice work! I know it when I see it... 46 years shoe recrafting...you do your customer proud! Great job!!
Probably the best timberland resole I've seen on YT.
Nice job.
Sending my glued on sole Uggs for this treatment!
Nice job young man!
NICEness... Having a Cobbler do this on a pair of Herman Survivors.
nice job and good explanation.
I might've missed it, but there was no shank added to the boot?
Good question, I didn't explain in the video, but the footbed had two layers and the shank was sandwiched in-between the two.
Those came out nice
Man but that foot bed will fell a part quick, wasn't made of paper?
Something like that yes, the customer didn't want to go the full restoration. He wears them with insoles so he should be just fine for awhile
I have a pair of Red Wing glue on work boots that need to be converted to Goodyear welts.
You welcome to send them In, I'm happy to help! Call or text me at (559)733-4004
Great work! Is this type of repair something you do often? I have a pair of Timberland Earthkeepers I'm thinking of having this done to.

Nice! But would have loved to see the Good Year welt as well, the stitching itself I mean
I have other videos strictly sewing welts on, I wish I had time for these too.

If the sole isnt stitched, theyre still just glued, whats the point? Why not stitch the sole too?
The sole is too thick for my machine to be stitch unfortunately.
