That is the ideal. Being yourself without having to keep defining yourself. But at this time, many people don't understand what gender is so we need to keep talking about it until people do understand and stop hurting people because of their misconceptions.
I feel point 5. The world is changing but November 5 can mean the difference between my continuing to become my true self and being forced underground again.
Don't give into the fear mongering. Relax. Colorado was one (if not the first) of the first states to codify gender identity as part of discrimination in public accommodation and this was at the tail of the Bush administration when the state was still red. Regardless of who is elected (beyond lip service to scare you into voting for them) nothing will change. The deep red states will continue doing what they were going to do, and the less red will continue to do what they were going to do. Nothing substantial regarding trans laws (for or against) will come out of Washington.
So true. One many levels there are not too many differences who gets elected. But on most issues it is a crisis. The Republicans will institute Project 2025. All LGBTQ rights will end. Our lives will be in exponentially increasing danger if Trump is elected. Even underground, we will still be in danger.

I did a lot of timelines and looking at other's results and after a few time of going into panic attacks I learn it was triggering but it did motivate me to take action. But as soon as the action was taken, I had to stop. Point 5, I had to expose myself to a lot of counter arguments to the transphobic arguments out there because the slightest hint of transphobia would send me in panic. It lead me to become an advocate for trans rights and help my friend to be represented in the medical and justice system.
For me it’s the potential people I could lose personal connections with in life like friends and family also any coworkers in the workplace. Just thinking of all the bad possibilities and outcomes.

Sometimes I'm "yeah I'm nonbinary" And sometimes I'm "you're just an insecure cis woman, these feelings will go awayyy" And I feel worse and worse about being called a woman... Point 5 also hits home. I'm confident in my identity, but then reality hits that no one would see me for who I am. That people don't belive in my existence, and it destroys my hope. Yes, I can dream of being called 'they', but that won't happen, so why bother?

The Gender Dysphoria Bible is great and not at all as described in this video (where an imagined version of it is criticized). The bible is very open about different ways of experiencing dysphoria and is not prescriptive. It was extemely helpful to me in the early stages of realizing my gender identity. Social media is why dysphoria is more common? Trans dysphoria comes from knowing you are one sex and your body is another. How does social media make that more common? Or do you mean trans people? Social media doesn't affect how people are born. Social media is helping people understand their being trans and help people come out as trans. But it doesn't make anyone trans. You are either born trans or you are not. No one who is not trans would go through this.
Social media cannot turn someone trans or give them dysphoria. It can inform friends and family members about trans people and how to support them, which can mean the difference between a trans person coming out or staying in the closet. It can help trans people figure out who they are, whereas the same information and tools may not have been as readily available in generations past. It can show trans people what is possible and encourage them to come forward seeking treatment. But it cannot make someone into something they're not.
