Haven't seen those toilets in quite some time. Maybe it's because Glacier Bay has many proprietary parts that you can't get separately. If something goes bad, toss the whole thing.
Hope I never come across one of those toilets. Tight space there. AS far as Steve is concerned, you must repeat things at least six times. You need to brush up on your Boston accent LOL One good thing is you never have to replace a flapper in that toilet. At least I didn't see one
a design that no one ever asked for, requiring parts no one has. i don't buy glacier bay toilets anymore, ever. a company that plays silly games has no place selling anything anymore.
Glacier bay Its the SHIT. literaly!!! I actually have almost no experiance 2 weeks ago I got a call for a drippy shower valve Evedently it was glacier bay and a home depot knock off in a jamb i put el cheapo off brand cartridges . going back tomorrow on a call back bought genuine delta this time hope it works out otherwise Ill sell him a new valve im over this glacier bay shit already home depot told me go to ferguson LOL. hate to bag on home depot but the quality sucks and no support
Probably some chinese off-brand they get super cheap. And they can sell you the parts for 3-5x the normal price. HD "glacier bay" and Lowes "aquasource" are generally the same
@@ScubaCat3the aqua source is a much better toilet than the glacier Bay bull crap I have aquasource toilets in my house and I’ve installed a lot of them and so far I’ve only had to replace the toilet tank bolts on one and that was because of the chlorine tablets that the customer was using and that toilet was installed back in 2012 so not to bad . 😅
@@plumbbuild6517 I'm pretty sure they're the same. You just lucked into a good one. I have a glacier bay in my basement that's been good for 15 years and counting, never serviced it at all. (came with the house)
Those toilets are still manufactured by Niagra Corp. Tank flushing system is based off of Niagra Falls.
your "Steve" is passable, thxs for sharing...hope you charge them for having the part...
@@tomdale1313 oh yes sir I did

That toilet never had the makings of a varsity flush master.

I've had one of those for 13 years and haven't had a single issue with it. Got it at Lowes for $90.
Yep it's a Home Depot toilet. They're weird to use too because sometimes the bucket doesn't come back up.
these have been around for awhile.....the selling point is no flapper to leak...
I have. It's in a rental I work on and has been functioning for years. I may see if it can be modified to a flapper should it ever break.
Dude you should have convinced her to buy a new toilet! 😂
I have seen and repaired one of those.
I wasn't sure if I could find parts for it, but I did.
Your Steve was really good on your first attempt. Lol.
