How to fix a Pfister leaky 3 handle shower faucet
There are several things that can make a Pfister faucet leak but this is the most common one that I see.

Happy new year Shane! Thanks for posting! Your channel is my favorite plumbing channel!
When I come across those Pf valves, I just change out the whole valve assembly and the seats. They're very cheap. I have heard that those three valve assemblies can no longer be installed in new construction homes in Regulatafornia, but I could be wrong.
pressure balance is nice . never seen a packing washer issue that wasent easy fix but they may like not having temp fluctuation
Great vid thx for sharing
It’s hard to tell from the camera angle but is the handle going to hit the new drywall or is there just enough clearance?
Why is there two you guys there
The best flushing toilet and you skipped the only part I wanted to see. The flush!
lol my bad man
Love your videos. Happy New Year!!
it's the packing behind that nut, those are very serviceable with all the parts easy to get, the tile job is savable...
sitting Bull knows the score
Love that tile.
1 of the best valves ever made, do not replace. Get a genuine Pfister verve kit, new stems, seats, handles and escutcheons. If you set it up proper with grease and all it will be years before needing any service.
i dont know man, all i see is issues with them out here
totally agree with exception to rust and debris eating up washers sometimes but with new seats and not excess pressure the washers should last. Ive got a pfister deck mount tub valve that is giving me issues though differant stems but I have to replace valve
@@pershingplumbing9007yes, of course there will be issues with them because they are what? 50 years old? The packing is super worn out which is why it keeps needing to be tightened up but the reality is that if new stems and seats were installed it would far outlast any posi temp I’ve seen lol. The reality is that when those valves are new they are a far better design than posi temp or any pressure balancing valve and will outlast anything made today. BTW nice work and I really enjoy the videos.
Just found your channel and have been binge watching all your videos. Keep the videos coming! Happy new year 🎉
Behind the fridge would have been too easy.
So you work for Mexicans?
Happy New Year job well done as always.
Pfister valves look just like Gerber brand.
im turning the water off first. forgot to one time while changing out a sink cartridge, 😂 customer was not happy. happy new year
I really like those click drain assemblies, they're easy to clean and maintain.
I really like those click drain type. Easy to clean and maintain.
Nice job, as always. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Great job, Happy New Year
Shane once again love the way you explain and work through it. Wish you nothing but more business and Happy New Year my friend!
I was just going to comment that tubular has its place … for example rentals…. And then you said it
I use tubular, there's nothing wrong with it for the application shown here.
U need to take all of that galvanized under the tee out r u will b back
Wondering why you didn’t use a Double Wye with a Cleanout. I’m not doggin’ on you. Just curious.
i dont like using them because i can never see if the cable is going down and since i used tubular its really easy to take apart. I usually use wyes for cleanouts on verticals
The original setup was strange, two separate pipes from the sinks going into the drain/vent in the wall. It’s a practical masterpiece now. Just like downtown dude!
tubular is all "I" run across under sinks here in "Freeattle", good info on why you go in what direction, thxs for sharing...
Welcome to 2025! A.B.S. or P.V.C. piping + FERNCOs or MISSION COUPLINGS makes everyone a plumber. HURRAHS - no skill set required. No licensing required = apprentice, journeyman or master plumber certification! Oh fuck, I forgot this is California. Nigger rig the repair-it’ll never be inspected. Christ.
Why is there an old hand saw tucked in there to the right?
i left it there back in 'nam
Carbon steel and moisture always a good mix. @@pershingplumbing9007
Love this channel. You rock man!
Happy new year 🎊🎊🎊🎊. Great job 👍👍👍
Great job
ENJOYED THE VIDEO SEE YOU NEXT TIME
If I were the owner of this property, I would cancel this garbage disposal, which is always causing the clog. All new buildings don’t have garbage disposal anymore now.
disposals in every new home Ive seen
Garbage disposal is good business for the plumber, but it is a nightmare for the homeowner, and it’s special for multi-units. Yeah, most properties are built in 2022, and they don’t use garbage disposal anymore. I have seen properties, such as a famous comedian's home in the Toluca Lake area or the most expensive building on the Rodeo in Beverly Hills.
Disposals in single family homes are good, multi unit buildings are a freaking nightmare
agree 100%
Quite the mess. Those accordion pipes always make me cringe! Nice work and thanks for sharing!!
The attention to detail with making hot/cold line up straight on the sink, love that shit
Urinals are the worst
No - NO plumber who had any pride in his workmanship - self esteem would install MADE IN CHINA plastic crap like that. You ought be a janitor. You’re no plumber buddy.
Good work per usual thx for sharing
Quick and easy job. Thanks for sharing.
Well done 👏
When I install lavatory popups, I pipedope the threads below the bowl. It helps future leaks. Plastic threads can sometimes leak. Have a good week. Enjoy your videos.
I tape and dope
Not so useless after all. Nice camera.
great job, you man handle it, thxs for sharing...
Good work
Nice job! My brother-in-law and I recently installed a garbage disposal. The disposal came with a gasket so we didn’t use plumbers putty. We just used the gasket. No leaks thus far. Question: When a gasket is included, do you use the gasket only, plumbers putty only, or both? Just curious. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Those press check valves are game changers
What do you think is better the m18 sectional sewer machine or the k-60?
@@kD_5555_ k60
Did you just carry it up the ladder? I got a ridgid k400, and need to get it on my roof to snake the kitchen vent. Proving impossible to carry. Thinking of building a lift. Maybe I can take the drum off and carry it up the ladder in pieces.
@@corykeeler2655 yeah I carry it on roofs
