@@chrisbatten2432 be 21 and completed you EVOC (emergency vehicle operation course), keep in mind that that is for this department, other departments may be different, it may vary fro. Station to station or state to state.
Not really, just cause you are sitting at the station and you get a call doesn’t mean you can leave without getting manpower first cause you can’t really do shit on a call by yourself

If you were cleared to drive, would you have just rolled solo to this call or waited for more to arrive?
I would had waited till another driver or a CPR certified member showed up because 9 times out of 10, they will want one of us to go to the ER with them to help work the patient in the ambulance. Which in this scenario I did. And our department rule of thumb is always *Must have two to roll.*

Was turning the gas line off on the stove really necessary? And with vice grips attached to it? LOL
Yes. I believe if you don't, gas will still leak through the burners and since that stove is so old, I wanted to make sure it was off all the way. lol

@@emt_luke I didn’t use a program software for my lights. My lights were all simply plug and play with sync wires, etc. However, my Federal Signal SSP3000B in a different story. FS has all the links on their website to where you can download what you need.

Every second matters. Can’t do anything when I was 19 and don’t have a driver.
Also note that not all districts recommend going pov or even allow it at all.
If cpr was in progress why wait for someone to drive the truck? Just hope in ya pov lol
Probably against SOP. At least in my department you can't POV to the scene unless it's EMS related and your EMS certified but even then, POVs to the scene are limited.

@@robertmahoney5523 He is correct actually. I also ended up going with the ambulance crew to the ER working the patient. Make more sense to take the truck to where someone could bring the truck back to station.
