- Responding to station for a residential fire alarm. You will see our engine responding in the video. I made second due truck which you will see at the end. I took a short video while in the back on Snapchat but the video got butchered. I'm working on truck responses.
I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE SONG IN THE VIDEO!
911ep500 lol youtube hit you with that copyright claim? Lol
Armyconrad Crooked UMG did 😂
I’m going to admit that is a pretty good song though! 😄
5:02 that truck pulled over a little toooooo much 😂
Well at least he pulled over
Nice catch. That's a sticky situation at times. Best not to leave the roadway when there is no hard shoulder.
Thought that counts, next time don't put the truck in a ditch pulling over haha
I love lightning
Truck slid
He doesn't have a siren, he has ALL THE SIRENS.
Yes he does. I love it .
He is SIRENHEAD
What siren does he have? : Yes.
It is just a standard 200W siren module. He has 2 100W speakers, and a rumbler that replaces one of those speakers when activated. Every big name 200W siren can do delay and dual tones. That fast high/low that sounds like a ringing phone I believe that is a Whelen only tone, so im assuming he has a Whelen siren.
@@jmhm17 Judging by all the siren tones, the guy has Whelen, Federal Signal & Carson
The Federal Signal was the Smart Siren Platinum & Rumbler, The Whelen was the phaser hi-lo & the Carson was the SA-500M
Dont bother listening to these keyboard firefighters....you drove just fine and people dont understand not all laws are the same going state to state, you did good....nice job brother
Appreciate it brother!
I’m a retired firefighter. Most of these comments you read aren’t from real fire fighters, they’re mostly children playing pretend mixed with a few other hotdogs that hang around stations. Just tell them to go and stand in the road then ignore them.
Bull. he was speeding when the video started, now hes speeding with lights and sirens. WAY too fast. I doubt his VOL FF laws allow him more than 10 over the limit and he is going insane with it. Im sure he responds the same way for a lift assist.
The moment the tones drop on this video the tones drop on my end. At first thought it was the video itself.
😃😁😆
I bet you hesitated there a few seconds before you realized it was your alert.
😂
😂
Oh geez that would be bad if u didn't realize it was yours and the vid and not just the vid
Something that you might want to install in your car is a scanner that way you can hear the call even if your pager doesn’t work.
He has the county radio in his car. The call in progress will be on tac channels he's on the main dispatch channel
Never heard of a siren with an electric dance beat to it before.
avenger007007 Rumbler variable to the sirens, gives it a different frequency and makes the human ear more seceptible to hearing it
Is it bad I had to look over and make sure it wasnt my pager going off😂
Lol
I did the same thing HAHA
😂the sound is ingrained in our brains
Ultra Hilo always sounds so nice imo
Great response video! I really like the Carson mechanical tone, sounds real nice.
me too dude!
How do you have dual tones for the siren,do you run multiple setups or is that a feature of some...trying to get ideas to get a good one for my pov
What type of dash cam is that? Very nice quality.
This was awesome
3:13 pew pew pew
I kind of wish my town would let us use lights and sirens on our pov but we can’t have them/:
Ask your state, first.
@@JV-pu8kx Most states allow it. Most departments don't allow it. That's how people get killed.
9:08 that dog
Do you use the manual siren box control or do you have it wired to where your horn would normally be in your steering wheel?
RMwx has to be a manual box theres no way tones were getting switched that much and in a very particular manner just by where the horn is
Are you not allowed to respond to the call site in your POV? Instead of responding to the fire dept? Some of ours keep our gear in our POVs.
I respond via POV and have my gear in my Tahoe, minus SCBA
My dept sop and sog we don’t carry gear in car we have to go to station
I love that siren setup
That was AMAZING sirenwork!!!
that’s true dude
Great siren response
Nice driving brother . Keep it up stay safe.
Man that's a long drive!
Jim Coulter he is usually a lot closer but i guess he was out already doing stuff
Have you thought about putting the lights at the top of the windshield
I wont even dare turn my courtesy lights on before I reach district cause town insurance doesnt cover me at that point. That and I came clear the intersections coming into town if I go highway. Backroads can take a little longer depending on where I'm coming from
We are covered as long as we are with in reasonable distance
@@ep-ou7sc must be nice. Courtesy lights are usually almost always useless. I do know coming on the backroads they would help me significantly going to calls from out of town.
what are you guys allowed to run?
@@rickfrank7934 blue courtesy lights. Have to abide by all traffic rules and regulations enroute.
That's what VFDs have to run in Indiana also. And civilians aren't required to stop for blues here. Most will stop, but thwy aren't required.
Wait your a volunteer firemen? Is that your personal vehicle? What state is this in, must be cool to be able to have sirens. In my state we're only allowed to have blue light
Yes he is, Kentucky, and if you can but it and its Amber, white, and red and you can buy it (Including siren) then yes its allowed.
Ethan Evans Indiana follows the blue light law. Kentucky is smart and gives them the option to use sirens which makes for a faster response time. Guess I’m moving to Kentucky then.
Right that's what I'm saying bruh
I'm from Germany and here we are only allowed to put a yellow sign with the text "Feuerwehr im Einsatz" (In english it would mean "Fire Department on way to a call" or "Fire Department on a call") on the roof of our private car
You have a rumbler on your POV???
Xavier Gardner and engine siren.. i saw a little much 😂
Are you allowed to respond to the scene? In my small town, we are allowed to once all of the engines are staffed.
Idk if regular firefighters can, but the chief, deputy chief, and maybe officer can
At my department, (volunteer, shepherdstown wv) we have a duty officers vehicle and ems utility/chase vehicle. The ems chief can take home the ems chase or duty vehicle. The chief can take the duty, and any other officer can take either one. We do POV response, but usually to station. We are not allowed to pass the station if the call is past ot without stopping and hopping on a leaving vehicle. If the call is the other way, then we can respond straight to scene. Just rare light use. My ems chief used red dash lights
My station is a small town rural station.
My department, you can run POV right to the scene, especially if it's between you and the station and you have your gear
For my department its chiefs and fire police go to scene and the rest go to the hall, but I tend to get a lot of EMS calls right down the street from me and I just call the EMS captain who usually goes to every call and say that they just need manpower for the ambulance if I'm going straight to scene.
Awesome siren
The dual tone, Rumblers and Hilos are my favorite
What lights do you use
That dig in at 5:00 I love it but damn! Thanks for moving over but that was a little much
Truck slid
I will NEVER put my veh in a ditch to move over for a pov. im sorry.
ex FF here
Awesome!
Where is the Mech Tone?
What State and City was this?
Every time I hear the tones drop for Fairdale Fire Department and it would be in my old neighborhood, I would head out on foot, and probably make the scene before the 1st Officer got to the scene.
this is around the shepherdsville ky area isnt it?
8:50 jesus where are the other 5 emergency vehicles producing that noise?
All the same car, but doesn’t matter because he’s out driving the sirens so when he kills himself the guy on the stand will say he never heard it
@@zilch7116 This is not true, we respond on the highway and freeways at 100+, You can still hear that siren half a mile ahead of you.
The blue light law shouldn't exist 🙄. ALL FIREFIGHTERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO RUN SIRENS
I AGREE - I'm from New Hampshire and our unmarked Fire Vehicle's are the same color as the main rig's:
Red, White and Amber Light's and Siren's.
Blue Light's are for Police Vehicle's.
But just in case you ask - Green Light's are Security Vehicle's.
@@DreadWing7777 yeah it's crazy that we can't have sirens
There is a lot of abuse to this stuff. Hinders the people that are legit.
@@bondoly66 yeah but the law pretty much says f*** you to firefighters cuz we can't respond with sirens.
Why the negative comments? Lights and siren responding. Low tone (Rumbler?) passing couple state intersec😂toons and two gas stations, slowed going through country town. Well done sir.
awesome video
Don’t listen to the hate, cool and awesome video!
omg, is everything alright with the white truck at 05:01min?
Is that the Carson Mech tone?
The ride to the station is nice, but being able to see what the emergency is, and how it's handled, would be nice.
I fully agree
I do like the siren sounds though those are pretty cool
So is this your private car as a volunteer firefighter? Over here in Germany we are not allowed to use emergency lights and siren in our private cars :/
Yes this is op's car
I know this city my brother in law lives across from the school over i seen you before ..love the truck man..local..im up north in jefferson county got fam all over bullit
I want to live in the country like this.
Ohio allows red lights and sirens on our POV'S also
@911ep500, can I use your video for my lecture when I teach CEVO?
Idk if you'll use it in a hood way or bad way but sure lol
@@ep-ou7sc it would be used to show the students the theory of CEVO in a practical setting
4:18 “551 on the air at Preston Highway and 61” **realized you just said road name and road number instead of cross street** “fuck” lmfao. I had a bran fart when I went on the air for one of our calls last Sunday too. It happens 😂😂😂😂😂
911ep500 not as embarrassing compared to what I said lol 😂 everybody makes fun of me now! Check your Facebook I’ll tell ya what I said
I guess he forgot that the radio delays when you key up, and when you let go. lol
What Type of siren where you using in this video cuz I live in New Jersey Right Now and I am thinking of moving To North Carolina or To Lebanon Junction To Be A Firefighter since it has been a dream of mine to be a firefighter like my uncle and grandfather where and i have had that dream since I was 4 years old and I love your siren in this video and was curious on what make and model of siren your using in this video
I’m a vol ff in North Carolina sadly you cannot use a siren nor can you use blue lights because the North Carolina state troopers use that. You can use red white and amber or any variation of the three people here are courteous enough to move over
What is first song name?
@911ep500 where are you located that you are allowed to use red lights and siren. In my state we are only allowed courtesy blue light
Garitt Pickford this is in Bullitt County Kentucky. We’re allowed to use lights and sirens in Kentucky depending on your departments SOP’s. I’m applying to one of this guys neighboring departments and they allow it. It’s all based on state law and department procedures
Where I’m from we’re allowed red/blue, white/amber. Or any combination. Along with sirens.
Garitt Pickford I was on the B&R VFD in MO and we ran blue/red lights and siren with no certification or training
when will the next video be out man?
What’s the name of the song at 7:33?
Wish we had that in New Jersey. Would help so much. Great video BTW the lights in the corners of your windshield. What are they?
Born in raised in south jersey. Got the hell away from there the first chance i could lol. Awful laws. Its funny bc volunteers are in a more heavily populated area where time is more critical and proper warning devices are more nesscary. They are Strobes n More D6s
Yeah same here. South jersey born and raised. Laws suck here.
I agree 100% with you.
@@FireAndEMS where you from??? Im from bellmawr

What kind of car was this? That engine sounded amazing when you floored it.
Lol its a 2005 Ford Five Hundred with 3.0 v6. For being a v6 land yacht she sounds great!

What state do you live in
William Simpson Texas almost guaranteed, these are our light laws.

patrick perry what the heck dude😂😂
patrick perry u know freedom of speech dosnt mean u literally can say every fuckin thing In the planet to people
Hey guys is there any way that you could put down what States you're in as far as responding to egg calls and fire calls because because Washington only allows green lights no sirernest no red light And only Amber flashing towards the rear. And that's on PO v's for volunteers
This kentucky where we get to be American haha
@911ep500 ok I wish Washington and Oregon would let us some day soon run with the same POV equipment that you all get to
What's the song playing on the radio in the beginning?
Island in the sun weezer
@@ep-ou7sc Thanks.
That rumbler is killing me
I might be moving down to Oneida Kentucky from North Carolina for Work and totally gong to volunteer there!
So you guys can run Lights and Sirens? Down here in North Carolina we can only do lights...
Nicholas Murphy in Kentucky, volunteers can run red/white lights with a siren. 360 degree coverage and visible from 500 feet away is the law at the moment!
What about in South Carolina?? I'm gonna moving there later this year and need to know
Do you have a federal Q installed too
Sounds like an EQB
The armchair firefighters crying about response times, good thing you've never dealt with a Code 3 Search and Rescue response, lights and sirens, or lights only in some instances for up to an hour. Years back responded Code 3 from Mile Hi Stadium in Denver to a scene 5 miles north of Blackhawk, Co., 1 HR response mix of lights only and lights/siren to clear traffic.
4:59 ouch lol
was it a house fire
Geez how many diffrent kind of sirens do you have lol
Is this Lebanon PA?
Central Florida Fire Responses Lebanon Junction, Kentucky
I thought it was Pa, too until I remembered that he isn't a chief and only chiefs can run Reds and a siren in PA.
Okay head phones not a good idea when pager goes off lol. I wish I was able to have the sirens. Just the windshield flashing light thing you plug in is all I have now. Growing up my dad since he was chief and we lived 7 miles out of town he had the cool flashers in the grill and headlights along with the windshield one.....but no siren. That would be awesome if we could here. I'm from small town nw iowa
Wish volunteers were allowed to have sirens in Connecticut😭
Best wail yet if added with whelen sl100
This in Kentucky? I lived in Jefferson County for a long time. Heard Southeast Bullitt and thought “WAIT A MINUTE!”
Yup! We are in Bullitt County. Very southern part before etown

Is your engine a Pierce?
96 saber! Yes!
You should get s power call siren 500 watt
In Colorado we were allowed to run red/white with siren. We had to have 360 lighting and the rule drom the Fire Chief wss that if you're running lights, you better be running siren. Police Chief or one of his officers had to inspect your vehicle to ensure safety and all equipment functioned properly. We also had strict rules on running code, and we were never allowed to do so in our pov if we were out of district.
Since when is fire red in Colorado where I lived police were red fire was blue
@@Coaltrain87. fire has always been red in colorado. All of our equipment was red and clear lighting. Police were red and blue. I lived on the western slope and have never seen blue on fire or ems. Maybe if you live on the front range it was different but not west of Denver
@@benjaminkent4397 lived in eagle and was on their FD definitely all blue
Please respond 911ep500. I am a volunteer in Armstrong county PA I some day would like to have a siren setup like you. Will you be making ride along videos in your engine? Thank you for what you do
The first siren is a Federal Signal Smart Siren Platnium and the second is a Carson SA-500M
Still working on the ride along in the trucks
Are you chief

Got a second truck out once I got there! 2 full companies
What dash can do you use?
Jonathan DeMont it appears to look like a whelen talon and federal knockoff brand light. Basically a shitty set up. Two different lights that don’t even look the same. Smh.
He's giving the off brand light a year long test beside the real light. It's not permanent.
I think he meant "What dash CAM...."

Nice video! In Ontario canada we are not allowed to have a siren just green lights.
Funny. Here is Saskatchewan, Volunteer Firefighters can do the same thing the creator of this video did, red lights and sirens, with the same privileges that Fire trucks enjoy.
I dig those green lights unfortunately here they designate a command vehicle
And here in my state of Illinois we have to use blue lights with no sirens
@@patrickharvey158 in New York State, blue lights and no sirens for Volunteer Firefighters , Green lights and no sirens for Volunteer EMS.

How come you didn’t go straight to the scene? Does your department require a from station response? Just curious. Seems like the call was closer to where you were originally coming from.
Gear is kept at station and our SOP is to go to the station for a truck. Can't fight fire without water and tools

Is there any reason you don't respond directly to the scene? Seems like that might have gotten someone there sooner.
if he went directly to the scene with his POV and if there is a fire, how would he be able to put out the fire?
Dang son, how far were you from the station? At my station you have about 3 minutes to get there or they will roll without you. Great video tho!
Mine is 3 mins from me station but i was on my way to the store when the run came out
Ummm, you left the keys in your truck, sir.
Lol it's a car.
Two observations, I've never seen the 24 hour clock used in North America, also beautiful deserted, straight road for miles, why does the siren need to be running continuously?
In the state of Kentucky you must have lights and sirens activated at the same time
24 hour time is used in the US by the military, law enforcement, fire departments, hospitals, etc
But SHOULD be the driver's discretion! Sometimes it's not appropriate! The law should be re-worded!
Make sure to clear ur intersection before flying through them but love the video man :)
I did even tho the video didn't portray it. Plus I have the right of way
