Technically this is perhaps not the most informative video, but I think it’s one of the most interesting and entertaining to watch with all the ambient sounds, and with your family in the background. Love it!
Thanks so much, great to see someone doing the job before you start it. I’ve change car oil literally over a hundred times but every car is different. Just making sure you have the right size sockets is a great help. ( I always put big piece of cardboard down and stand oil tray on a big block of wood to reduce the drop/splash, when the oil starts. ) Thanks from England. Rob
Heads up! Mini recommends BMW LL/LL01 oil, which meets or exceeds ACEA A3/B3 requirements. Good brands are LiquiMoly 5w30 and Castrol European Formula 5w30. Good work and quality video! 👍
Thanks for the video, changing the oil on this thing next. I just bought a 2017 Clubman, same color as yours. Doing a tune-up and fluid change because there were no records of service/maintenance. Is there a fuel filter on this thing? I can't seem to find one unless it is in the pump itself. Have you ever changed it? If so, where is the filter located?
Hi bro, could I know how did you jack up the car and put it on the jack stands, pls? I saw you holding a block. Did you use it jack up the plastic part on the side?
Looks like your Vehicle Manual states: The engine oil level is monitored electronically while driving and shown on the Control Display. If the engine oil level reaches the minimum level, a check control message is displayed. It’s recommended that you have this service performed every 4,000 to 6,000 miles. www.miniusa.com/content/dam/mini/PDF/archiveownermanuals/MY17/F56-F55.pdf www.myminiannapolis.com/mini-cooper-oil-change-frequency-annapolis-md/#:~:text=When%20it%20comes%20to%20changing,miles%20by%20a%20certified%20technician.
1. was the car horizontal from front to back so the oil could drain completely? 2. you must be carefull not to touch dust (on gloves, floor, rag...) with filter, filter cap. Dust can scratch engine parts.

It is 0w20 for the 1.5L Gen 3 F54, not 5w30.
