  • When it comes to whole body vibration machines for enhancing bone density, it really comes down to the intensity and displacement levels and personal comfort preference. Dr. Brown discusses the various versions and benefits in this video!

You know finally let me answer about
    Whole body vibration
I think whole body vibration is really
Interesting i have a machine in my office at the center for better bones
That is high amplitude you maybe get
    Three or four milli
    Milli centimeters displacement so you’re
Going up and down quite a bit
You can really feel that up and down now
This person writes about a machine called
Juvent or maradine and that was developed
By professor rudin at the university of binghamton
And those plates you hardly know you’re on they
    Have very tiny displacement
They have hardly any displacement at all
You don’t notice it they’re not
Disrupting to the body but it appears as though
    They’re not particularly effective
They’ve been shown effective for children with cerebral palsy and for turkeys
But outside of that in most women it
Hasn’t really been effective to enhance
Bone density as far as i see with the research whereas the higher vibration causes the muscles to fire
Maybe 30 times a seconds tires the muscles quickly
Is shown in many studies to be effective
At enhancing muscle strength and enhancing bone
However not many people like it becuase you kind of get are jostled around
So the maridime is another version of it
The juvenile of juvent very low amplitude vibration if you like it
Give it a try if you get good results let us know

I submitted a request for information. At first I did not want to give them my phone number because I had received a favourable review of it and all I wanted to know was the price, but the request was not accepted without the telephone number. I gave my phone number and it went through. I then search google for information and was shocked to learn that it costs just under $4,000 US, so it would be more in Canadian dollars. The ones sold by Amazon are generally a few hundred dollars. Now I know why the site does not divulge the cost and why a phone number is required. With that price tag, there is going to be a a hard sell when they call.

Anyone compared power plate and bulletproof vibe?

  • @debbabbit9283

Can you please compare this to one used by wheelchair bound patients who bear no weight? My paralysed friend needed something to give her cardio exercise. Over 20 years ago I tried laying down on it thinking I could tolerate it for 30 minutes since I was ambulatory but couldn't bypass the small recommended maximum. Is this similar?

Will using a vibration machine help improve blood flow in the lower legs?

Yes Jamie I suppose it would be very supportive for blood and lymph

I have many health issues, Osteoporosis, Fib, Hashimoto's all my injuries joints from accidents, fell, old sports. Broken foot and torn muscles on my left foot in 2018, and even since struggle to walk but very limit. I would like to try with Treadmill to walk slow pace every day because it will be smooth without uneven etc like outside uneven sidewalk, grass etc with walking cane or walker. Which hurt my elbows. Now vibration platform? Which is better for bear weight for Osteoporosis and my joins for Treadmill or Vib. Platform? I still need to walk instead of sitting all day to help my ankle to keep mobility. Vib - is it feeling like a cart of wheel like merry go around? I try to avoid from dizzy or migraine, vertigo sometimes. or it is feeling like a little shaking. Perhaps best is sitting with Vib then? I can't have many machines. Which is most benefit?

Good catch! We meant millimeters. Thanks for pointing that out!

What about using a rebounder with a T handle on the side of it to hold on to if you have poor balance while you do your stepping or bouncing?

    • @DrSusanBrown
      @DrSusanBrown  9 місяців тому +3

A rebounder is great for cardio and lymphatic drainage, also having a handle it a great idea! Though, a rebounder is soaking up a lot of the impact that is great for bone building! Try skipping, hopping, or walking with a weighted vest for added impact (on the ground!) :)

I have a rock solid vibration plate? Is it good?. It goes from 1 to 99 strength. What strength do you recommend to help with bone density

      Hello! I recommend 30 hertz.

@@DrSusanBrownThe machine she referred to is the same one I have. The company says the top only goes to 14 Hz, which on this machine is the 99 setting, unless they are wrong. It goes up to 8 mm.
30 Hz is supposed to be best for bone heath, but I don't know how to find that in other than the machine you mentioned that doesn't do as they suggest.
What machine should we look for?

I just spent a lot of money on a marodyne...I hope what you are saying is not true!

It isn't, she hasn't got a clue how damaging WBV is, retinal tears, brain damage and a whole host of things. I would trust Sara Meeks over anyone else. Take a look at this video with the man behind the Marodyne ua-cam.com/video/gvtHKCdqdKM/v-deo.html.

There is incredible positive research behind the Marodyne vibration machine. She doesn't speak of any of it. I also know people who have had success with it, and created more bone density. I suggest listening to all the interviews with Dr. Clinton Rubin.

This really confused me. Does the machine in your office work better? What is the name of the machine? What is, if any vibration machine , effective?

    • @DrSusanBrown
      @DrSusanBrown  Рік тому +4

Hello! In her research, Dr. Brown has found that vibration platforms with more intensity, such as the one in her office that has 3 mm of displacmement at 30 Hertz, are more effective on bone than vibration platforms with less intensity. The machine that Dr. Brown has in her office is called the Hypergravity Gyminator.
