I have a 2017 Acadia so far it's running great with no issues at all I even ran the VIN for any recalls and it said no recalls founds. I'm hoping it never lets me down even though I have 24k mile warranty on it.
My friend has a 2018 Acadia. They also have issues with the thermostat and temperature sensor which will cause the engine coolant gauge not to read. It also causes the air conditioning not to cool properly and it affects the electric power steering as well. When you start the car the screen it says steering assist reduced.
Yep, starting happening when the mileage on the acadia hit about 60,000 miles. My Acadia has 110.000 miles on it to date This is a great vehicle. However, this issue starting Happening around 60,000 miles - warranty now expired. It typically happens if you drive the first 15 miles between 60 and 65. Front panel comes on, steering assist issue, Engine temp gauge drops to Cold, Fan motor turns on to cool engine. Temporary FIX, pull over, disconnect one of the battery terminals, it will reset everything in your Acadia. Including the starting. Which means you'll have to restart it twice basically. Once it's reset, Acadia works fine, until you drive 15 miles or so between 60 and 65 a few days later, and it happens again. .... The other option is drive those 15 minutes around 68 to 72 mph, this seems to stop the issue from happening. I've also tried stopping within 5 miles, slowing down etc... that didn't work. At 80,000 miles the dash board screen started glitching. No Radio, media etc... sometimes, but then it will work other times. Can't turn it off or on, disconnecting the battery doesn't help. Back up camera still works though. Don't know the fix. ppreciated, except going to the gmc service center.
I just had mine done last week. $$ for thermostate stuck = no a/c. 68k miles. Shift to park also went. And had to get new tires around 60k sidewall dryrot. With proper tire pressure . Next car I'm going foreign again.
Expensive, expensive, expensive issues with the Acadia. Had a 2016 and every couple months it was one thousand dollars this, two thousand dollars that then finally my transmission went at only 145k. I'm never buying a GMC again.
