I did this program too and felt so much stronger by the end of it. Still can’t believe I was able to do up and down planks without stopping on the 14th day. Was so proud and motivated that I’m now starting her 2020 summer shred just to keep my momentum going
2lowkey100 no they’re right. i don’t think that the original commenter was trying to brag about not eating but eating disorders are a slippery slope and it stuff like this can come across very poorly online. :/ everyone please make sure you’re eating everyday! starving yourself will not help you to be healthy or pretty
||TW|| @lexi rey Tysm ! @2lowkey100 and yes having dealt with and almost died from such a horrendous disorder, understand that this is no laughing matter. Maybe when you’re being fed through a tube and being restrained to a hospital bed you’ll understand that. No one who’s suffered from this disorder should be called a crybaby for trying to prevent others from going down this slippery slope and not being happy with the way they look for the rest of their life
That's not a flexible spine, that's a weak core and/or bad posture. Your lower back is part of your core too. If you'd train your core more, it will get easier to keep it on the ground :)
Yeah I recently found out that you have to engage your pelvis and push your lower back to the ground when you do core and I feel the exercises wayyyy more
Thank you!! Spine health is so important Im really glad you highlighted that. Power yoga is also really good for building your core and spine strength try it out Emily! it will bring the best of your flexibility
because i work out everyday i have to at least rinse my hair everyday. i started out just washing my hair every 2-3 days but the sweat would make me break out on my scalp. sweat is mostly water soluble so i found that just rinsing my hair works the days i don’t wash it :)
Emily Canham no I didn’t mean it like that! Just UA-cam must not have put it out or something because it’s still not in my subscription box now either 😬
I’m on day 13 todaaaay, it was hard af.😭😭😭 lost belly fat and lost some weight, 1week I ate dirty and the rest of the week I started eating cleaning and incorporating IF. From 93.5kg-89.5kg 🤪🤪
A little tip for people with curvy spines when doing things like reverse crunches (I have the same problem so I feel the pain haha), look down, doing this will make your spine straight and you can focus on your core a lot easier, be careful not to strain your neck doing this though, always keep your focus on your abs
for reverse crunches or ab workouts where you use your legs put your two hands under the outer side of your bum! I had the same exact problem and that helped me so much
The amount of times I wanted to give up through this challenge 😂😂 gives great results but I'd agree on the up and down planks driving me nuts 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️💪🏼💪🏼
I wash my hair every other day, after you work out you can brush your hair, put it in a top bun and when you undo the bun, your hair will look presentable. Lots of love...
Im not I'm doing the rock challenge which is: Wake up early half a hour of sleep Then 3 times a day 100 crunches 100 dips 150 squats Hour run once a week
When I work out, i put dry shampoo in my hair before I start the workout. It helps your hair to not get as sweaty, and in my opinion does a really good job.
Emily whyyy, I started watching this video chilling out, by the end my gym gear was on and now I’ve just completed both Day 1 of this and hourglass booty and abs!! Thank you for the inspo and motivation to get up and do it!! Xx
Thank you so much for making this video. I think it's cool that you've shown that just because someone (like you) has an amazing figure doesn't necessarily mean they're like super super fit (obviously you still work hard to maintain your body). Gives hope to us all!!!
I felt that "omg how does she do that?" in your day one workout😅 I watched all those workouts, preparing for stating on monday (I still workout this weekend, but just to keep up with the 14 days better) and I know I couldn't do that either and can't get the bicycle crunches coordinated 😅
About hair washing: I read that you don't need to wash your hair after working out - it'll be fine. I don't normally wash my hair after working out and it's fine
Aha I just finished this challenge. Definitely feel so much stronger in my core! I’m now doing the 25 day hourglass challenge and loving it! It’s tough but so rewarding! Love your channel Em and hope you’re coping ok with lockdown 💓
You can stick your hand under your lower back because you have an anterior pelvic tilt. I have it too! It’s really bad for your overall posture and can cause pain in your lower back, hips, knees, etc. You can fix it by strengthening your core and glutes, stretching your hip flexors, and overall ensuring that you’re engaging your abs, specially lower abs, when exercising. So reverse crunches would actually be very beneficial for you. You just need to ensure you’re doing them correctly :)
for hair washes when working out I was my hair every other day bit shower every day and wet my hair no products on days that I don't wash my hair properly x
You should press your spine intentionally when doing ab workouts. Everybody's spine is like that. But it has to lay flat so you dont injur yourself 😍♥️♥️♥️🙃🙃
Hey, just a warning to protect your back when doing ab exercises lying on your back push the lower part into the ground, if you cant make the exercise easier (like bending legs during leg lifts etc.) or do a different exercise as it can really hurt your lower back and this is often overlooked in influencers workouts xx
For washing hair, I leave it 3-4 days still! Even with doing sweaty workouts everyday, I just make sure when washing my face that I get my hair line so I don’t break out from the sweat! Your hair will adapt to it x
For showering sweat is water soluble (so water can clean it away) it’s typically shampoo that strips your natural oils in your hair. So you can just wash your hair with water and blow dry and it should be fine! ❤️
Ellie Marshall it’s not possible to lose fat in one place such as your stomach. the only way to really lose body fat is to pretty much do loads of cardio/hiit and it’s a full body process. basically, it’s recommended that you lose the weight before you try to gain any muscle such as abs, legs, booty, etc. because otherwise it’s a backward process. hope this helps :)
hey! I know your personal intention wasn’t to lose weight but I would definitely think about promoting the idea of Do This To Lose Weight type workouts. Losing weight is all about being in a calorie deficit with your food!!!! Obviously working out has so many benefits other than weight loss but I would hate your younger audience especially thinking that the workout you have promoted will help them lose weight instantly and then for them to be disappointed with their own results! Love the concept of the video and the reasons you were doing it for yourself! Just a quick though as an avid gym goer!
Heyy firstly you look amazing! Exercise has really helped my mental health in lockdown. For your question about washing hair in between workouts, I use either baby powder or dry shampoo (also I’m like you and hate HIIT workouts more than anything so I do Lucy Reed’s workouts on UA-cam) xx
I work out everyday and use the function of beauty hair products (so I don't wanna use it up too quickly), sweat is essentially just salty water so it isn't extra hair oils so infact it isn't really making your hair "dirty", a good way I use to stop my hair getting greasy quicker is to use dry shampoo just before working out as it allows your hair to absorb more (don't put dry shampoo in wet hair that will just make it dirty). Then I can wash my hair like usual every 3-4 days!!
Cody is the cutest🥺💕 Em I love how motivated you are to do the workouts. I feel you, for me it's always in the middle of the routine I suddenly feel sluggish. like ugh should I or should I not do another rep bcs I am proud of myself if I did the whole thing😂 you look amazing! ty for sharing your journey! much love xx💕💕
I have the exact same problem in my back! Its too curved, which is called hyperlordosis. In order to do those crunches a tip is to put something under your upper butt (a folded towel or even your hands) its gonna make a HUGE difference and you’ll be able to do them :)

Thank you so much for the video! Your body is probably the closest to my body type that has done this challenge, and seeing your results are great! I'm on day 7 and it's honestly the most difficult day for me so far. I can feel a difference in my energy levels and my body feels stronger but I feel like I cant see too much of a physical difference yet. One more week to go
Definitely going to try this you look incredible! 💗 just so you know this didn’t come up on my subscriptions I saw you posted on insta so searched for your video. Don’t know if this is happening for anyone else but hope this helps 🥰
If anyone else has the same issue with their spine and exercises like reverse crunches, try putting your hands flat under your bum as you do them. It's always helped me and meant I can now do all of those exercises x
Totally relate. I started it 5 days ago and the up and down planks are the worst 😂 but still i am seeing so much result in my body and watching your video right now gave me so much inspiration to finish this challenge since we have kind of the same body shape and height. So proud of you
