Taken me nearly two years for my 500litre tank to settle down before I started but hammers in as after 6 months I put hammers and a few others and lost them. All about patients, something that can never be rushed. Definitely slow and steady wins the race. We have all done it when we have rushed things because we getting exited about putting corals in.
Corals look awesome! You have inspired me to start adding some corals to my tank. I have had my RS Reefer XL425 up for about a year with fish only to date but I'm going to check out some of those LAX aquarium online sales for coral. I live in Orange County so maybe I'll drive up there one day to check out the store by LAX. Anyway great job on the quarantine and care you have put into your aquariums. You definitely have more patience than I do.
@@inventoryking I first have to get the basics for my coral reef, like getting rock for and aquascape and the other basic stuff to set up my aquarium. I plan on having a various variety of corals and fish in my tank it may take me a year or more but I will eventually have what I want.
I appreciate the comment Marcus! I think taking my time is beneficial. Do you ever have issues with your 6 line wrasse being too aggressive to other fish? That is one concern of mine since I know they are be mean.
Now you have to keep them alive and thriving. magnesium13000, pH 8.0 carbonate hardness.calcium, phosphates etc proper lighting good protein skimming good luck. Want you to succeed. Oh add a Tridacna clam for nutrient export and an Australian elegance coral, bubble coral. Don’t forget your clean up crew. Shrimps and hermit crabs, starfish etc. Awesome good luck. You need a deeper substrate for your wrasses to sleep in at night.
Thanks Graham. My mag is always running higher than 1300. PH is between 8-8.15 without kalk, DKH is 8.2, Cal 433, 2x radion xr30 pros, good size skimmer. I will look into the Tridacna clam. I got lots of snails, a few shrimp to add soon. Thanks for supporting the channel. I am planning on getting another bag of sand to add sand in spots in the tank.
The tank looks really good. You should have a good start since you really took your time. One suggestion I if you do get the wrasse that you named please do not get the shrimp. He will be food immediately. You will lose crabs and some snails with those wrasse as well.
Looks awesome man! Stoked to see the corals go in. I am still interested in that Orchid Dottyback when you decide to catch it. I don't live to far away from you, so we can meet up and you won't have to worry about shipping/packing.
Thanks Brian! yeah I wanted to take my time and QTing coral is a must in my opinion. You never know whats on them. Thanks for watching. Hope to see you on other videos. Take it easy
When there are TOO MANY in a small space, like this tank, there is actually less aggression cause no one fish can stake a claim. I am saddened to see so many tangs in such a small pocket of water, As a global diver most of my life, I am 54, I have seen dozens and dozens of natural environments. As a hobbyist for over 30 years and an owner of an aquarium store in Los Angeles back in 1995, I have seen, serviced, given advice and owned M A N Y tanks....so I am set in my opinions on this matter, yet people will do, what they do..thumbs down.
Has your clown began to deal with any of the anemones? Guessing they are too small yet but have wondered if a clown is in the tank B4 the anemones if maybe they would choose one and power feed it lol
If I were you and you really like your snails, crabs, and coral. STAY AWAY FROM CORRIS WRASSES! I made that mistake and it costed a lot. Instead get a leopard wrasse or more fairy wrasses

Your tank is awesome. I cant wait to start my 55 gallon coral reef tank in my small apartment.
I appreciate that Eric! Its just going to get better and better with more coral that I will be adding soon. What are your plans for your 55 gallon?

Hey Ben, I used IC-GEL INSTA CURE CYANOACRYLATE GEL from BRS
I think you will have nothing but benefits from waiting this long!! Very impressive...
Thanks! I sure hope so
Awesome tank. This was the longest wait in history on youtube lol.
Tell me about it LOL! Thank you for watching and commenting.

Bout damn time! Envious of your patience!

Beautiful setup does your Powder Blue Tang splashes water a lot ? Mine does that very often
Thanks! No mine doesn’t
You should get some duncans if you can. They’re my favorite 🙂
I will have to look at Duncan’s. Any designer types? With insane colors
What size tank is that its beautiful wtg man
Thanks for watching Derick. It is a 120 gallon tank.
How do you remove the frag plug and why?
I use the cutters. I take them off for preference.
Love the tank so nice and fire flames.
Are you getting aways from the African cichlid hobby and now only doing saltwater tank?
Thanks Donald. I love it, its awesome. I still have my African Cichlids. Just having a lot of fun with the saltwater side.
Ellis Aquatics in Compton ca has has fire shrimp in stock
Thanks Eric. I found 2
What glue did u use?
Hey Jay, I have used Super Glue Gel, Gorilla Glue Gel, IC-GEL (From Bulk reef Supply) and I use the Insta set now. What do you use?
@@inventoryking I use super glue gel but I didnt know i can use it underwater lol any tips on how I can do it
If I were you and you really like your snails, crabs, and coral. STAY AWAY FROM CORRIS WRASSES! I made that mistake and it costed a lot. Instead get a leopard wrasse or more fairy wrasses
Thanks.
I got a yellow coris wrasse and its the most peaceful fish in my tank... hard worker too.
Lol.
My purple dottyback kills everything👎
Mine isnt bad, but I still think I want to rehome so I can add something else.
You dont have to drip acclimate corals or fish lol, theres no point.
Please elaborate
