    What is going on everyone? I got an awesome video for you today. Unboxing The most Colorful Saltwater Fish for Sifting your Aquarium sand. These fish are so colorful and do an amazing job keeping your aquarium substrate nice and clean. They do this because they are looking for food in the sand. Along with the unboxing, I am going to feed all my colorful corals. We are feeding the Krill and Reef Roids. This is my first time feeding krill to my corals, lets see what happens. If you are wondering what corals we are feeding today here is the list. Indo Torch Corals (Dragon Soul Torch Coral, Hulk Torch Coral, Joker Torch Coral, Blueberry Torch Coral, Pink Tip Torch Coral, Blue Tip Torch Coral, Red Goniopora Coral, Blue Green Goniopora Coral, Pink Purple Goniopora Coral, Blasto or Blastomussa Corals and Acan Corals). I Love it.
    SO I am sure you are wondering what fish I got. They are called the Bella Goby or by its scientific name Valenciennea bella. These are not the cheapest saltwater fish out there, they are probably the most expensive sand sifting saltwater fish. They are going to look so good in my Aquarium.
    Thanks for watching, I hope you can subscribe, click the bell and comment. Stay Tanked.

    Nice fish. Your gonna wanna feed heavier with 2 gobies. 120 gallon established reef would take care of 1 sand sifter even then it’s tough to keep them. I had one for 5 years in my 120. Beautiful fish.

    I heard they do better in cooler tanks unsure if there is any evidence of this...I also know you have to feed a lot as I feed my diamond watchman a ton and it barely gains weight and grows.

    • @inventoryking
      @inventoryking  4 роки тому

      Thanks for the comment. Yeah looks like its important to feed on the heavy side.

  • @Paulsie85
    @Paulsie85 4 роки тому +2

    Got some nice looking corals there though and your main display tank is going to look great when completed.
    But dude, wow I had insane anxiety watching you dip your hand with the poly filter in and out the bucket and the fish going nuts..
    I try to keep the stress to an absolute minimum when acclimatising stock. They were going absolutely crazy, tread with caution doing that in future cos that could mean a premature lifespan for your fish.

    Have to be careful about not increasing the bioload capable of being handled by your tanks. You can probably overstock, but also depends on type and mix of fish and organisms.

      @@inventoryking I agree with Benny Soulz11. It's not just about how much bio-load your system can process, you have to consider the compatibility of the fish you select and the amount of space available for your territorial fish to call their own. Your tank is only 120 gallons yet you have 5 tangs in it, among them the Powder Blue and the Purple Tang, two of the most territorial of an already territorial species, and I have seen some mean Yellow Tangs as well! Also it looks that your tank is a tall tank not 6 feet long. Tangs need to be able to have space to get away from one another if there are multiples in the same system. The aggression issues you are just starting to see will continue and intensify. Once this is allowed to continue for long enough one of those tangs will become stressed to the point that it will develop Ich and all of the time and effort you put into QT will have been for nothing. Not trying to bash you here I have been there and done that and seen it myself, just trying to help. If I were to suggest a solution it would be to eliminate two of the Zebrasoma Tangs. Pick your favorite and re-home the other two. Tangs from different families will typically be alright with each other, but with the environment you have created here, 3 of the same family in that tank will not stop. If you do this you end up with one Acanthuridae, one Zebrasoma, and one Ctenochaertus. And even this is not always a guarantee! Good luck to you.

    While very pretty, for them to get enough to eat-as they pretty much only sift the sand, you have to feed the crap out of them-which often spikes NO3 and PO4. Eventually, after about 3 months, they will starve.

    No need to keep saying saltwater fish in every sentence which indicates you’ve most likely just come over from freshwater tropicals and never knew marine tropicals existed. It’s isn’t just rivers lake and streams that are in warmer parts of the world also our oceans. Love your content but it’s super annoying every time you say phrases like “these are the coolest saltwater fish I’ve ever seen “. You can always tell if a marine newbie has just come over from freshwater fish keeping because their always emphasizing the bright colours of the marine fish compared to what they’re accustomed to with the freshwater tropicals side of things.
