- The most ethical way to experience being around elephants is by visiting an elephant sanctuary that does not mistreat the elephants. Elephant Rescue Park in Chiang Mai Thailand is a NO-RIDE sanctuary that has rescued elephants from the logging industry, riding camps, and the circus. Hi♥ I want to volunteer for an Elephant Sanctuary, but first I want to educate myself, I read on the page of one Sanctuary that they have a "no-touch" policy, even feeding the elephants is forcing them to do something that is not natural for them, neither is bathing them. I would love to get close and personal like you in this video! but now I'm feeling is a little selfish and I'm not considering the elephant :( I'm so confused haha cause I would love to experience this.
