So out of a Hut, Hustler, Provincial, Millennium, Wilmont Valley or Sampson boat which is the best. Should be interesting now that DFO approved 50 foot long hulls, with fuel prices and all will it curb the rush to get bigger boats?

@@sgtcrab2569 everyone has their favorites. The Wilmot Valley boat is popular right now. Thirty knots is nice. Finish is hit or miss. DOUCETTE makes a nice finished boat depending on who does the final assembly. Some kit boats are rough no matter what brand.

it could take a real beating supposidly. They are better hulls than other Novis due to the fact that they will take you there today. Honestly kind of considering building one next year after I am done with the one I am building now. Might try and purchase some offsets rather than work them out from RC plans. Way easier if someone has something already fair to the eye. But if you have the scratch my guess is it would be worth every penny.

Most of the wider boats are very stable and smooth than the traditional 14 to 15 foot wide ones. That said some hulls are dryer than other.

they maybe fast but the will pound the nuts off a dead monkey in any kind of a sea and the wettest boat i ever fished in . you needd full oil gear on and your hood up in anything over 10 knots of wind .
