Great video, but it wasn't exactly like the Titanic hitting the iceberg. Who'd-a-thunk they could get so many LobstaBoats in that tiny harbor. Here's to a great/safe season for the Fishermen, and for PEI Tourism as well!
That "Run" was built when boats were 12 to 14 feet wide. Several makers top 18 foot plus wide now and with new laws allowing up to 50 foot long they will get wider. Something many harbours will need to think about with the repairs being done after Fiona.
@@696969640 we just got a brand new Millennium in the shop to wire and rig up. So much wood in the cabin to make it very classy. 45 plus 4 foor aluminum extention on an open stern. Strange layout, bathroom is on the left (port) instead of right (starboard) under the wheel and such. You go through the bathroom to go into the engine room. Only thing I find is the washboard is very very low. They all have something unique, Hutt boats, Hustler, Provincial, Wilmont Valley boats and more. Be interesting what happens now that DFO okayed 50 foot boats with no special license.
@@IconoclastDeath Funny you mentioned that, rules just changed and now up to 50 feet. But some of those 45 foot boats have an open stern with a three to four foot platform on them making them already 48 to 49 feet long.
@@696969640 Could not tell if it was fiberglass of plastic from the rub rail. Looked kind of curled up like it was off the rub rail but hard to tell with the poor video quality. Hey not complaining you use what you got and that was over four years ago. Took a lot of time getting them all, nice job.

I would never put my boat there. That wharf is just damage waiting to happen just like it did here. Way to narrow for days when she's rough.
Quite a Narrow passage!! How wood you say it..." Don't Rock the Boat Baby or is it Wharf "!!
Does anyone know the average length of a Tignish Lobster boat?

44,11 and under, unless them rules changed for lobster fishing ?
