Right now there is a sale for these BOTH FOR 49.95!!! I just got em today. Been waiting for a sale.
“I’ve never heard of Amplitude Wrapping”…neither have I and I appreciate you straightforward honesty ✌️
I did some comparing on my channel. Keep in mind this is the XL9000K that came out in 2002. Waves, UAD, PA model the 4000E from 1979 (or versions therof). PA also models the 9000J which came out in 1995. Excellent console. The (9000s are more transparent, better for Hip-Hop/RnB - and the 4000's classic sound more for Rock. There are no rules though in my book tho.
Very useful 👍🏽 thank you
@@jerrylmusic Glad it helped, thanks for watching :)
Wrong you right on some points ssl 4000G it was that glue that that made the songs shine through this what you heard on alot of albums was used on Hiphop all classic hiphop and r&b hits was also was made on it and it's not what you have it's how you use it.
were the 9000 series entirely clean? This SSL plugin channel strip EQ is totally digital, has no non linearities at all.
Very true….just remember that Chronic 2001 was made on the 4000 G….,that album for some reason to me has the greatest sound I’ve ever heard….i have achieved kick sounds and high end sounds using the combo of the 4000 on the lows and the 9000 on the highs…..well, maybe not just like the chronic 2001 but damn close!!
Wow! Those things LOOK great too!
Horizontal is side-to-side, vertical is top-to-bottom. The old version has a horizontal layout, whereas the new one you're showing there has a vertical layout.
Indeed. Just imagine how more impressed he'd have been if he'd have dl'd the 360 software that truly makes these two plugins shine...easy project wide control across all channels with or w/o a control surface. It truly helps to read the manuals folks.
@shane hazelwood or he mixed it up? stop being weird
Wow? Is it just me or is this update incredible. Crisp. Smooth, Loud, and clean. I am a happy audio nerd this morning after the update.
Well I think it's not just you, but it's SSL! guess they ve done good work here.
I found the same. Louder, puncher, smooth
If you push that plug-in mixer button it will take you to the site. Then you download the 360 software. Once you do that, it will give you a mixer window showing up to 24 tracks at a time that you could use to control your channel strip and bus compressor. Also a meter bridge.
not a meter bridge - but if you have a Bus compressor 2 on your mix bus it will show that (or any bus you put it on).

I downloaded the 360 software despite not having a UC1 and it works perfectly. SSL has really gone done it
I'ma have to try that
@@TheAudioCzar I'm using it on a mix now. What have we been doing all this time. All of my channel strips and bus comps on one page. I'm going to order the UC1 next week
@@nathanieljohnsonjr775 I'm using it on a mix now to lol
@@TheAudioCzar me three now after seeing it
I feel like my waves plugins are lagging like the analyzer on eq's. I have the SSL on every channel. Not using a lot of CPU. Weird though
Great info and overview, thank you!
Nice video - articulate - intelligent - good production values
studio one gang
💪💪💯
Great video!
Thank you!
Please, I didn't get anything about a "sweet-spot" input for those plugins.
Are they as almost all analog emulations limited on -12dB yops to input signal, too?
Yea Yea, This is a step in the right direction for SolidStateLogic user, After seeing how Big Luma has come with the API console platform, I wished SSL step its game up with a Console platform, they have with the Hardware, I can hardly wait to get one and download the latest Plug-In, Well Player, I like to see you do a comparison review on the Two Console someday. Peace Out!
SSL STRIP 2 IS REALLY THE XL 9OOOK
it sure is.
It's what we've all been waiting for. 😋
Great overview!
The plugin mixer button supposed to open up an SSL MIXER i think u might hav to put the SSL across all the channels then the mixer will show
I hope the build a specialized desk to set them down in
so do you need updated licenses to use these "2" versions of these plugins ?
i could not find a "upgrade" plugin option anywhere on the SSL website ...
EDIT: you answered my question at the end of the video .. thank you for that ,, downloaded and ran these new versions with no issues .. SSL does need to offer better info on these though
I do have the previous SsL bus Compressor and CS but also I couldn’t find my licenses in my account on the ssl website but I do have the plugins registered in my Ilok account and runs well. So did you just download the new plugins and it worked or how did you fix this issue? Will appreciate your reply thanks 🙏
@@vibrantog8102 right .. just download the new versions and run them .. i was hesitant as well first but the new versions will run just fine as long as your licenses on your iLok are present ...
@@Andres-sp2go Thanks man..Blessings 🙏
Amazing... Please Show us how you mixed this song.
this is just her singing over a 2 track beat. The SSL channel strip was the only plugin on the vocal in this video
@@TheAudioCzar wow. That's amazing...thanks
Have you tried the SSL native against a bx 9000J? They are based on same desk so wondering could do a comparison? What’s your preference
How did you make your ssl plug In smaller? Mine is ridiculously large. I don’t have access to the LF section, because it’s so big lol
Hit tab and it should zoom out
Great job
Thanks for this nice demo … SSL makes it so heavy for his customers to receive updates and plus the new account center the chaos seems perfect. Can you tell me why the 360 mixer will not having a pan controller ?
Hello. Thanks for the Video. Do you know if it`s possible to have L&R Independence on the BUS Comp I use Cubase pro 11 and I like to keep my Mix as Dual Mono so the Compressor won`t be triger on the left side if the sound is only on the right side
whats wrong with the singer voice?
Can you use the SSL native essentials bundle along with the Waves NLS?
*Vertical (layout)*
And still no resizeable GUI, ffs.
ikr same thought for me its too large fo my screen
How would you compare these to the Waves versions?
here is a shootout I did with this, waves, and others ua-cam.com/video/IvlSoIKdf3o/v-deo.html
So is this the same EQ as the SSL XR625 for the X logic rack?
No oversampling for Channel Strip?
Great review..so you definitely think it’s better then any ssl plug-in out there ??
I haven't compared it to the plugin alliance one but they all sound similar to me. By All I'm referring to the waves, the SSL channel strip, and the plugin alliance. I have a video comparing those 3 I did a little while ago.
This is based on the 9000K - most others are based on the 4000E.
Channel strip 2 have a trial version?
Yes go on the SSL site to start trial
Is there a way to buy just the plugins? I cannot see them in the shop, only in the subscription bundle
yes store.solidstatelogic.com/catalog/31
6:20 Was this lady plastered while singing?
:D
where on the site do you update it?
Can i use channel strip2 or Bus Comp2 without buy UC1 ????
Did you ever find the answer to this question?
