    I miss crocheting. I was so inspired to crochet pockets I made about 7 🙏 I hope I can get better at it. It feels so great to create something and when I get to see the finish product of my work, everything feels possible 🙏

    This video was very helpful. I am making a summer scarf out of a shiny thread. I lost the label as I have had it awhile. I bought it because of the sheen and beauty of the variegated colors. I think it was Knit Cro Sheen. I am doing a search to locate more!
    BTW...I SUBSCRIBED!🙂👍

    I use a size 80 for all my lace crochet. It can take some practice but the results are beautiful.

    Thank you so much. I have used size 10 for doilies....but now working on summer scarves and finding some beautiful threads on Premier Yarns. I appreciate your video on sizing of threads because I didn't know much about thread sizing.

    i’m using a size 10 rn for a shirt crochet project. i’ve been working on it for about a week and a half to two weeks, and only have about 2 or 3 inches out of the total size i need it to be, but it’s been very fun!

    I found a ball of #10 thread in with some other crafting supplies, that I didn’t realize I even had. I am anxious to try making a small project to see how it goes.

    I can't believe that I didn't think to look here first ages ago when I wanted to make sure I could find the proper sizes. But, you also mentioned using thread to crochet, which I am already doing, so maybe I will just stick with that and get a wax piece for the more complex pieces I want to do. There are more color option, too.

    Can you make clothing like summer tank tops with #3 thread. I want to try it but was wondering if it might be too heavy.

    Thread crotchet is different than yarn crochet. I have a question because I am trying to use thread crochet stuff.
    The instructions:
    “CH lock pin/braid pin, SL draw pin, X short pin, V short pin plus pin,
    A short pin minus pin, T medium long pin, Z date pin”
    I just don’t get it 😢

    I've been trying to make a (kufi) hat with this for a long time. But i've been having trouble with the 'magic ring'. I've no idea why, but my curcle keeps turning into a dome or a bowl even tho i am using the correct pattern. And i've tried making it loose and tight. Tried hooks of different numbers. I've tried all sorts of stuff, but the result is still the same. The tutorial im watching also use this thread, but it doesn't turn out like this for them. What am i doing wrong? Someone, please solve this mystery and help me out.
    (I don't know the number of my cotton thread but im guessing it must be around 10 and i tried hooks of 0.85 mm, 1.75 mm) (in the tutorial they were using thread no. 9 and hook no. 0.9mm)

    Could someone help me find a pattern for a lace Summer hat. I have #20 thread that I purchased on Amazone , not knowing how thin it was. For the one hat I made with some success, the thread was about 4 times the size of this one, so it must be a 5(it was given to me years ago so... The #20 are such lovely colours, I would really like to make something with them.I don't want them to sit in my yarn box for years and then be thrown away when I die.

    How do find the start of the crochet thread after you unwrap it? Is it called a “spool” of thread?

    • @PoetryinYarn
      @PoetryinYarn  4 роки тому

      Sometimes the end is wrapped around and into the cardboard tube at the center.
      Tug gently until you feel some give. Usually I hear the term "ball" of thread used.

    The DMC thread is embroidery thread used for embroidery, needle punching, wool appliqué, cross stitch. That’s why it’s located where it is.

    What needle size we need to use for fine threads?

    • @Mystichandworks
      @Mystichandworks 9 місяців тому

      There should be a recommended hook size on the yarn band or package. Start there to check your gauge and see if you like the look of the fabric. If needed, go up or down a size according.

    Can you tell me why my crochet thread projects are SOO STIFF, I just give up, I wanna make lacy doilies but it seems stiff, I usually am using Aunt Lydias size 10.. is the finished project supposed to be hard and stiffer than using regular yarn( usually size 2 sport weight)..
    Or is there a way to block or steam after using thread to soften it??

      When you weave in the ends go a couple of inches in one direction and the a couple of inches in the other direction. For crochet thread you can also use a tiny dot of glue to secure the end.

      Use this the same way you use any other yarn. It doesn't need to be any tighter or looser than any other yarn. Make a gauge swatch and go larger or smaller so you get the gauge and fabric density that you're looking for.
