Was at this performance after attending Golden Gloves next door. Found an unattended side entrance and walked in , sat down, not knowing who was going to be in concert. Five minutes later Jimi walked out and started his set. Fifty four years later,
I still have not heard anyone play guitar better. Thanks for bringing back a great memory!
Reminds me of when back in the day in California some high school friends and I jumped up and snuck through an open window at a warehouse concert venue and ended up in Canned Heats backstage room. The band was totally cool and smoked a doobie with us and then let us out into the concert hall.
Listen to a few of his complete album releases and you will begin to appreciate the genius of a musician that changed guitar playing forever. Jimi is the reason rock and roll advanced to the level it is today.
My absolute favorite guitarist! I love and appreciate him so much. Nobody can touch him. EVER! And I have a list of others but he’s my best!
💜☮️🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Yes man evolution jimi ate acid like I breath visa versa see what he did with the guitar was a bible i picked up the guitar thanks to hendrix at early yrs when I'm a singer wtf jimi made me a MAN

I was at this show. Unreal to find this uploaded. Thanks!
If this is true then you are one of the privileged to see the legend and we bow are heads to you. I was born in 87 so never got the opportunity but would of given a kidney if I could of seen him.
You are most privileged!!!
I am a 88 baby but grew up listening to this from my dad!!! God bless my dads sole!!!
If you feel like letting us know what memories you have of that night, I'm sure that there are many of us that would love to read it!
@@Freakoutski there’s other uploads of this show with more stories in the comments. Used to be a site full of people who went there and told very detailed stories of encounters with Jimi and shows of his they’d gone to.
@@ExtremelyOnlineGuy Thanks man! Have great day.
Love those Sgt Pepper's openers
Jimi's lyrics were just as genius as his guitar playing . 📙 🎸✨🏅
Never get old
Desde Chile escuchando la leyenda 🇨🇱🤘🇨🇱🤘🇨🇱🤘🇨🇱🤘.
Go Jimi go Jimi!!!
Jimi tells the audiance were going to play 'wind cries Mary' crowd doesn't really respond until his vocals begin.
Go Jimi Go !!!
Cool 💯😎 Salute
Fantastic !!!
Freddie Mercury and Jimi Hendrix: immortal legends!
This purple haze is epic
Fantastic. Good sound too. A chance to hear Jimi, Mitch and Noël at their best. Beautyfull sound paintings! Thank you👍🏻
Lovely
Wow! The quality of this, given it is a 60's audience recording, is pretty damn good!!!! Love it!!!! Thank you Experience Hendrix & to the original taper!👌🏻
You should have been there. We were in the balcony center 2nd row and it sounded and felt like you were part of the music.
Thank you for sharing the Jimi Hendrix experience
Sensacional
I love Jimi's rendition of "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?" and pretty pumped to hear it here! I'm addicted to Jimi Bootlegs!
Sounds like he's playing thru his Sunn amps, doesn't sound like Marshall here... interesting!
Indeed the sunns. This was right before he switched to Marshall when his contract went caput with sunn. He liked Marshall cause it was his middle name and they sounded pretty good and held up on tour. He brought up the Marshall thing with Roger Mayer too, he said it felt like fate with Marshall popping up so much.
@@ExtremelyOnlineGuy Another connection... Jim Marshall, the founder of Marshall Amplification gave drum lessons to Mitch Mitchell.
@@p0llenp0ny never knew that! That’s possibly one of the ways he ended up meeting Jim. Most of his connections were a “I know a guy who knows a guy” type deals. Like with landau and kramer and Eric and such.
Good Jimi Go he was a God !🎶🎶 and Spiritual
❤ Jimi ❤
Awesome tune love it 😍
Clean up and remaster these recordings and package them. I wanna add these to my vinyl collection.
Hell yeah!
It's already been cleaned up and remastered.
@@apollomemories7399 yep and it’s free. This is a worse quality than the free one.
Considering how much stick the Hendrix family get for being money grabbers you think they'd be smarter and get these gems cleaned up and sold as I'm sure we'd all love some more of this in better quality so win win
Hendrix was a
fucking
visionary
LOVE this Fire intro!!!!
Omg 😳 JH just amazing, tone, playing, singing, on fire… so good, unpredictable greatness
🔥🎸🔥
🙏🏼 Thanks 👍🏼💥

Jimi was godly.
Perhaps you do NOT read/study Holy Scripture 🤔 taking NOTHING away from Jimmy :- God is SO WONDERFUL 🤗 let us NOT 'limit' T"he Unlimitable" 🤔just saying 😊 God BLESS you 🙏🙏🙏His Peace🕊️
What a concert. In 1968 that was a mindbender.
great version of Wind Cries Mary, always reminds me of my nan (her name) who was very musical
oh man a live version of Catfish Blues and man does he send it. tone is out of this world. so good.

Thank you for sharing. I leave for awhile but I always come back to Jimi.
Genial
🎉@motherF..... ing Wow it's Jimi. Wild Bill heard that. God bless you all. All my Lov & Respect forever more. Jimi Hendrix was and still the best. Thanks.
Awesome thank you 🔥 edit: could someone patch up the pitch sliding on Foxy? 😆
That drum solo
WOW now all 4 Texas Feb. '68 shows w/SRV have turned up ! Ah Jimi.....so freakin cool[est]
They’ve been around for years man. This is old news. They’re just uploading these to have proof of ownership and shut down traders who actually care for and preserve and enhance this man’s legacy instead of trying to make a Buck from it. These guys did it all for free. And some still do. Remember how RAH was found and released in theaters with “plans” for global release? Still waiting on that. Hell I even bought an album expecting to get footage of fehmarn that was promised. Never got it but someone uploaded almost the entire show to UA-cam that year and it was gone within a week. We still haven’t got black gold either. Or village gate. Or msg 70. Or tons of other shows that were filmed. Like the September 67 shows in Sweden. The red rock show in 68, much of this man’s American tour in 68 was filmed by him and hangers on of them just hangin around n such, will we ever see an official release? Nope. Why? Because they can’t profit from it. Stuff only comes out to monopolize his work. It’s sad.
The catfish blues is what I come for!
From Russia with Big love!

JIMI SET HIS GUITAR ON FIRE AND THE WORLD RIP JIMI HENDRIX !!!!!!!!!##$$%%$^^^&&*******
At 33:20 is Jimi referring to Billy Gibbon's band the Moving Sidewalks?
mitch mitchell king of drums!
Man, if I could time travel.... I'd just hop back and follow Jimi around on tour, then make an anonymous emergency call to his hotel room when the time comes. ;)
👍😊

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😭
Got so inspired I picked up my one string 4
And played guitar in front of my cat #AngieAngelAngolina jimi always makes me pick up that guitar rip #MrJimiHendrix you might say he is one of our most important saviours LOVE
Which this was video too. Jimi video visual performance was almost as great as his guitar player.
How the fuck does he stay in tune after all those bar dives????
Lil bit of chapstick on the nut helps. Also setting it hard to the body with 5 springs. He doesn’t really stay in tune that much. He just plays a variation of a chord when one of the notes is out of tune and sometimes bends the string in tune while playing. He tunes a string mid song in can you please come crawl out your window. But generally a very well set up guitar will stay in tune relatively well like his does.
@Ted Diversity exactly. Even has taken a guitar off midsong played it with his feet while tuning another guitar because the first one wasn’t staying in tune. And would joke about having to tune up in between songs by saying “cowboys are the only ones who stay in tune anyways”
He dosent...at least not exactly. That's so big a part of his talent. He's constantly tweaking the tuners while playing as well as slightly bending things towards being in tune. In a class of one.
He doesn't. Listen to his low E in purple haze lol.
interesting cover of dylan
It's pretty well in keeping with the version on the BBC/Radio1 albums
❤✌🌞👍❤
I somehow have this in better quality…
What is this droplet from heaven?
please keep doing stuff like this, you will make alot more money making this stuff public.
Even more evidence that there will never ever be another …
Let me stand next your.....diddle...diddle...FIRE.......ooooh......ouch......

sound engineers?
Thanks, Janie but you could let a lot more out, y'know? Only suit the bottom line, hon. Really though, this is gorgeous.
29:31
Lo e it u dam that is about his moma
Too bad the sound quality is so poor. The speed seems to change too?
I play guitar and have loved Jimi since I first heard him in the early 70s, I LOVE Hendrix, but I just wish people would stop trying to sqeeze every dollar out of his legacy by releasing sub standard recordings and such. I believe he would not endorse it since he was so concerned with putting out what he thought was the exact version of what he was hearing in his head. Heck he was on record saying that he was not very happy with the Band Of Gypsy's album. One of the top live concert recordings ever!

Terrible sound. The quality was not up to par bad recording
There’s legitimately bootlegs of this same show with much better quality. It’s mind blowing what they choose to release as well as how they shut down efforts of people who preserve and enhance the quality of these recordings.
@@ExtremelyOnlineGuy you spitting facts.✅👏
@@killybilly685 just a shame people who care about his legacy are being shut down left n right and communities of people brought together by simply loving his music get torn apart so they can release stuff inferior in quality with much more financial backing than these guys who sit in front of a regular computer sometimes every other week n churn out AMAZING work.
@@ExtremelyOnlineGuy Crosstown Torrents springs to mind
@@Pigeon55 didn’t wanna say it but yes. hawk,j*****jimi, Kurt, fd , vib etc. Miss those guys. Steve too RIP. Way more passion there than here with “relatives”
Edited to not incriminate anyone.
These bootlegs are not doing him any favors. The sound quality is atrocious. Janie is a criminal, withholding his quality recordings.
The guitar in Foxey Lady sounds HORRENDOUS! out of tune, hitting wrong notes etc....These inferior recordings should never reached the public.....Jimi deserves better.
who's making you listen to them?
Or you could not whine about a free video featuring a guitar legend.
here's a funny thing.I'd heard recordings of Hendrix I think at the Atlanta pop festival that I thought were bad. Then I heard his guitar in isolation (must have been a multitrack original recording) and I realized Jimi's playing was right on and most of the mess was the bass player.
@@michaelneal900 Now that is interesting
Not his best performance.
