And explain advantages of doing it that way

Also, I have a question
In a component system. Are the speakers typically 4 ohm ea?? When you hook to the crossover, what impedance does the passive crossover have?? Just curious if the crossover changes that

Tim Henry yes generally they are 4 ohm speakers. And usually the Crossovers will not affect the overall impedance at the amplifier.

The dust cap looks different on the f3 set because it is covering a larger diameter voice coil.
