Hi Leila, it is a very useful lesson! Great. I'll never get tired to think how good you and your mate (Sabrah) are at explaining complex grammar topics like this one. Thank you so much! Paola
Thanks a lot . I got the lesson well. I have got to thank you so much .I am so happy to get well with your excellent videos . I always get in touch with your pages. I will try to get indulged in them .
One more amazing English Class! You and Sabrah are outstanding!!! I love your explanations mixed with beautiful English Accent! Thanks a million!!! Love you girls!!
Hi, Leila! Definitely, get is the most changeable English verb. It is very difficult to understand the thousands of synonyms of this verb. But know, after this lesson I GET understood it .. rsrsr ... !!! Thank you!!!
Thank you Teachet. I got the lesson. It was very helpful for me. I like your lesson because your are very clearly in your explanations this way help me a lot to understand what you are saying. Thank you once again.
Love English, with Leila & Sabrah..I'm a learner i need more time to improve my english .. i love the way you express with action which makes me more interest on your channel..thank you
From "get about" to "get with", my Collins Cobuild Dictionary of Phrasal Verbs has (has got) 12 tight letter pages devoted to GET. And I've got the hunch that mastering English means mastering the use of "get" (not easy to get through that, though). But don't get me wrong, I'm not getting on at that. Every language has got its own particularities and, as a learner, I've got to get the pleasure out of that simple fact without getting round the difficulties. Anyway, I don't want to get away of this comment without getting this off my chest: great video!!!
Really, there is little difference in meaning. ‘I’m planning ‘ suggests you are in the process of arranging it, whereas ‘I plan’ it’s more you’re intention. ‘I plan’ can also sound a little more formal. Hope that helps 👍
1. Get - arrive/ travel 2. Get - receive/ obtain 3. Get + ADJ + comparative + past participle - become passive 4. Get - Buy / Find/ Bring 5. Get - Possession/ Belonging I have + noun vs I’ve got + noun (-) I haven’t got a car & I don’t have a car. (?) have you got…? Do you have…? (have got to + infinitive verb) = Obligation. Possession I’ve got + noun = Obligation I’ve got to + infin’ verb 6. Get - Expressions Get used to + noun/ Gerund (Become Familiar or comfortable with STH) ‘Get on my nerves’ = annoy. ‘I don’t get it!’. I don’t understand. How many times have I said Get???. ‘We got off to a great start!’ = Begin well. ‘Get the hang of STH.’ = Learn how to do STH. ‘Get in touch.’ = contact
I hope you got the lesson and it helps your English get better! Don't forget to comment below and practise your English! ;-) LIKE> SHARE> COMMENT ! Thanks!!!
