The tray was beautiful and definatley had a dark academia vibe, but then it was painted and transfers put on it and I was not dark academia anymore, it was just crafty cute
Thanks for your input!
Loved everyone of them. Liked platter best.
Thanks so much Judy!
Hi Diane, I love your creations! I also like to add texture to things. I have found that using hot glue with a precision glue gun does a great job and then using a larger chip brush to lightly dry brush covers a lot of area and does a fantastic job. It is so fun to create for Halloween and I look forward to your videos; thank you!
Thank you!
I love the little feet added to the mirror tray. What a great finishing touch that is often overlooked!
Thank you!
I absolutely love how it turned out
Thank you!
The tray looks amazing Linda!!
Thank you so much!
You are not a crafter. You are an artist. These are amazing.
Thank you!
I dont really like black but I loved each of these. The frame around the tray and the box are beautiful.
Thank you Debra! I’m so glad you found something about these you love 💕
Love every one of your projects! I would buy all 3. Guess I will just have to DIY myself!!!! :)
Thank you so much!
You are still my favorite. This is my favorite style all year around. Thank you for sharing your awesomeness!
Thank you so much! That’s so cool that this is your style, love it!
❤Beautiful and such professional projects!
Thank you!
As with all crafts it always has an awkward phase in the middle of the process but it all came together for a beautiful result in the end! Lovely work, very inspiring
Thank you so much!
I love what you did with the tray, excellent!
Thank you!
Loved them all. Especially the tray.
Thank you!
I loved all of your ideas 💀🖤🐈⬛ Thank you for sharing
Thank you!
I love watching/viewing a different crafter’s channel. You can learn something new from them. I have never seen needle point thread used in this method as you did on the candle stick. Thanks for sharing your technique and knowledge for the thread. If I had not seen Indie’s channels a couple of months ago, I may have not found your channel. Best wishes and happy DIYING.
08/18/23. I am following the Dark Academia that was posted on UA-cam two years ago on Indie’s channel.
The Candle stick, the tray and the tissue box turned out beautifully for nice looking decor. Loved the moth theme.
Thank you so much! I love watching other creators as well, there are so many great ideas that they share. What a wonderful community!
Love the Gothic design.
Thank you!
Can't wait to see what you do!
Thank you, hope you enjoy it!
Hello, I'm new to your channel.
You are a awesome artist. The mixed media you use on these projects are intriguing. Very inspiring and direction in commentary is easy to follow. Thank you for your video.
You’re welcome and thank you so much!
Hello from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 😊 😀 😄 💕.
So glad to have you!
Linda you are so talented. Love what you do, and you don't go too fast.
Thank you!
Oh so nice. Loved every one.
Thank you!
First video that I've watched from your channel and I love it all! Great work and beautiful pieces!
Thank you so much Amanda! Thanks for watching!
Very fun projects!
Thank you!
Have you used sander-deglosser? You rub it on things before painting them to take off the gloss, and it makes the paint stick way better. It's faster and easier than having to prime.
I haven’t heard of that before, what a time saver! Thank you!
Linda, these three projects turned out so gorgeous! They are so rich looking with the deep colors and the touches of gold. I do not decorate in the dark academia style, but I would have all of these in my home! Love everything you do!
Thank you so much!
I sometimes put a coat of clear acrylic over my base paint so when I wet distress I won’t go down past that color (red)
Thank you!
Using brads as screw heads...ingenious! I love this halloween stuff! I appreciate your take on the dark colors! Thanks for the ideas on using some Brocant transfers!! Do you think brown wax would work to darken the white of the flower? It still seemed a little light to me. I LOVED what you did with the candlestick. I've gotta do that!
Thank you! The black wax didn’t darken the flowers like I had hoped so I agree it’s still too white. I learn something every time.
Yes, your right!!
Detail takes time, but it's worth it...your work is proof...that it's in the details ❤
Thank you!
Love your projects!
Thank you!
New Viewer, and I really enjoyed watching you create these beautiful pieces. You are so meticulous! Certainly impressed. Going to subscribe.
Thank you so much!
fabulous love all of these xx
Thank you!
I just found this video and wow! these are just so so amazing! excellent job!
Thank you so much!
That tray is just so beautiful! I think I would have added more color to the flowers, like musky burgandies and muted browns. You sure have a good eye for design!
Thanks so much!
For sure you are master at what you do 👏 all of the items are gorgeous and well done, you really know what the saying trash to treasure means 😊, thank you for sharing your talents with us, 👍
Thank you so much!
Everything came out so beautiful, wish you could come on more often! 👧🏻
Thank you, wish I could do this full time!
Absolutely beautiful all of them! You certainly did give some great inspiration, thanks!
Thank you so much!
Awesome.
Thanks!
Hi Linda, thanks for sharing these great ideas. You are an inspiration. You take so much time to dry brush all the areas. It took me also very long every time, but then I just started to dip my finger in the metallic paint and go over the area i wanted to dry brush and...it works perfectly.
Thank you!
These are unique. Love the ideas for Halloween. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Thank you!
I love your creativity. They all look stunning.❤
Thank you so much!
💜💜💜🙏🏽
Thank you!
Have you tried drizzling hot glue instead of thread?
I don’t think I’ve tried the hot glue yet, need to do that!
I'm sorry, I'm going to unload on you because I am frustrated. Every crafter I follow, And I mean EVERY crafter uses IOD transfers. I cannot afford them, they are SO expensive. Is there no less expensive choice?
Believe me when I say I understand your frustration. I can never afford to buy all the ones I like, I have to pick the one or two that I think will serve me best. With that said, there are alternatives. Less expensive transfers from Amazon or Dollar Tree, and decoupaging napkins instead of transfers. Also, you can print out free printables from the Graphics Fairy, she’s a great resource. You can print onto tissue paper and decoupage that onto your project. I actually need to do more of that myself. Thank you for expressing your feelings, this is something that I think we should all pay attention to.
