So excited to see you using the little vintage coasters in these bag journals! I sent them to you last year in happy mail as part of my new Etsy shop share. I love this idea for quick little journals for friends and a great way to use up stash! PS-the gold trim journal was my favorite. I don’t think one can have too much sparkle or bling! 😉
They are darling. My favorite is the mushroom house. We have rain sleet and ice here. So I am under a cover on the couch with my dog Gizzy watching your video. Now the problem is the video is over so now I need to crawl out of the covers and get busy on the books I am making. I took a clue from the glue books you have made and sold and am making art books for my two youngest granddaughters. I had two children’s books that are fairly large. Had my husband cut out the signatures and take the spine off because I am making them ring journals so the books will open up flat for them create. I used some of the pages from the book and added construction paper and other book pages of animals and watercolor paper and mixed media paper so they can paint and watercolor and draw and I’m adding paper scraps so they can collage also. All this to say that I got my inspiration from watching you create glue books and from seeing you work in your glue book. So thanks for the inspiration. ❤️ I will be showing pics of it on foxy crafters and on my face book page when they are done.

I will keep you in my prayers also. I know from experience just how therapeutic the videos are to occupy your mind if only for a hour or so. I care for my husband with Alzheimers and You Tube videos are my daily therapy during his nap time.

Amazing what people will find a craft use for. Would never have thought about the mouth swabs. Just make sure you don't get the ones with stuff in them, that could messy (I totally could see myself doing that, lol)

materials cost+time (your hourly wage)x2=retail price. I use this as a baseline, then look at similar items and adjust. Some things don't work this way because the finished cost is too much for people to pay. Then you have to decide whether it's worth your time. Your notoriety, artistry and experience influence how much people will pay also.

Found a pack of plastic wire connector caps in the hub's toolbox, works just like the knitting needle caps, orange ones fit Art glitter glue 2 oz bottle, larger size works for FabriTac one:->. Having fun today with bags & paper!

I'd love for you to show the Tim Holtz flower die you used for the flowers. I think I can figure out how you did the flowers themselves, but if you could show one close-up I'd really appreciate it. I love them so much and they make the perfect little 'something' for those bare areas. The quick bag journals are so fun! BTW, I think Tina coined the 'term' mass makes, but I doubt she came up with the idea as I did big quantities of certain embellishments long before I saw her.
Yet again adorable ❤️ Just a thought for the back of the ones you didn't want to cut. What if you snipped the top of the back off and then have a top open journal. Does that make sense? That way your not cutting off that yummy bit.

None of them used the journal's I made for them last year because they didn't want to ruin them!! 😂 With these bag journals they could write memories and have each end of the bag to put cards they receive or other things they might want to keep.
