poor girl didn’t cry talking about her mother leaving, being abused, being molested, but she started crying when she talked about her grandpa dying. its evident how much she loved him and i’m glad she had at least one person on her side looking out for her.

Your comment got me in the feels 🥺😞💔 My sisters and I were in a slightly similar situation and we also had our grandpa there. We were being abused while my grandpa was out and about and, if he was alive, he had no idea anything was going on. We were afraid of the repercussions of an official telling this family member because he could get scary 😰 My grandpa passed in 2001 but I left the apartment in 1999.

So many people need help, and don’t deserve to be in such need. A lot of people hide their feelings, but they have feelings just like this. Where they’re at, if people see you cry and pour your heart out, it’s about to get used for someone else’s gain, and their loss. I do admire her vulnerability, though! It’s hard to get back, once you’ve learned it gets you hurt. There are people who really don’t care, though, and just manipulate and use people and expect things. When you’re around people like that, it’s hard to tell one from the other…for a reason!

Almost dying at the hands of an abusive POS, the doctor and nurses treating you less than human …. And not having your five kids.

If thy6 are gone then they are gone completely, it hurts but at least you don't have their presence to remind you of the deficiency you will always have. With a full abandonment you can accept the reality better but emotional it's always knawing st your heart.

Her first mistake was leaving her first born to move to another state with her second child and his father. Who in the hell would leave their child to go with another man. Imagine how abandoned that poor boy feels.
Also, her story isn’t adding up, if I heard it correctly. Did she say she had all that excessive bleeding and water when she miscarried at one month pregnant? It doesn’t happen that way.

'Mam, whoever told you that you "haven't been through much" is wrong. You have an incredible outlook on life, due to your Grandfather (may God rest his soul) and the example he set of *true* hardship. It certainly gave you a positive perspective on life, and that can go far. However, you shouldn't be gaslit into thinking you haven't been through horrible, traumatic events. You *deserve* to grieve, cry, and scream with anger. You deserve help. I wish you the best, truly, and PLEASE keep up the good fight!

What chance did she have without her mother showing her how to be a good mother, but instead, her mother is probably repeating learnt behaviours from her mother and so on.
I've got a similar story, but I walked away at age 19, also when I was pregnant. I've still got an addiction to cigarettes.
The grandfather lost his mother. The grandfather lost his wife and his kids lost their mother. Melisas kids have lost her as a mother. Theme's past down the line.
When I did my family tree and researched my ancestors the same themes and hardships were in their lives as my life. It's about breaking the loop. Which is dam hard. Especially if you are stuck in unresolved traumas.
Good luck Melissa, I truly hope you find peace. Traumas trauma it all has the same effect. Be nice to yourself 🤞❤️
Give yourself the help you deserve it.

MARK PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ, Sir, u don't know, but if u sent me the fabric she's talking about I can make quilts that fold into a pillow, its called a quilto actually but they'd have a pocket, and i could add adjustable straps so they can be carried with ease. I know my mom made quilts for a family shelter here, she bought cases of wool blankets, wools the only fiber that'll keep u warm even if it's wet, I digress, but she bought blankets from the army surplus and they are a little longer and thicker, but they used those instead of quilt batting. she made 247 quilts, every stitch made with love and no judgment. I really wish u would reach out to me, I'm not associated with anything else except for my own failed attempt to start a NO profit organization called junkies r nt junk: humane humans being humane! However we can help each other Sir, I currently have at least 20 quilt tops already made, they need quilted, backed, and bound, Lucky u, I know how to do all these things Sir! I very much could do so a lot easier with recycled, washed, fabric if donated this way bud!!! ❤❤❤
