Hi Del, I get that you are doing a bare bones Busa but i think a GSXR 750 dash from the 98 ish era would have looked good. My one and only street fighter was a GSX 600 teapot and the GSXR race dash looked superb, probably the best bit of the build looking back. You have probably guessed I am more of a traditionalist with my bikes, that said i do enjoy seeing the fabrication work being done.

Nicely done, Del. Good idea to make it small and just plain and useful. Hope you both are doing well. Mother-in-law’s birthday today so she gets an extra carrot in the feedbag and if she behaves we’ll let her use the indoor washroom as a special treat. 😎 Take good care of each other! 🏍👍🏍

Brillitant Idea, just one question: Is using GPS only tachimeters even legal? I do not know the British MOT system but my guess is that in other parts of Europe (at least) this wouldn't fly. Here in CH I would at least doubt it they would probably question how do you know your speed in a tunnel or other spots without GPS signal?
Also I would add some connection to the bikes electrical system so I do not need to worry about the battery failing mid ride.

@@Moonfleet41 phew. I've had a samsung note phone, not pick any satellites up, from under a touring screen, when it was fixed to the handle bars, attach it to an arm holder on the back of the screen, no problems, hence stranger things have happened lol.
      Anyway.. your looking healthy.
I'm 40% of the way thru a re-vamp, rebuild of the Viking army bike/Xj900s divi.

Yes we imagine something first and then it is created 😀
Reading those words of wisdom Del starting off your video reminded me of this verse from Ephesians 1:18
And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit],
For the same Greek word for enlightened is the same word imagination and we also get our English word photography from.

Good job, Del! You told that all you need is to see the speed. What about the neutral, high beam, oil and indicator lights? Also, you'll need to see when the tank is full or empty. Those informations are necessary, so it'd be great if you add them.

Looks great and is a no-brainier when it comes to accuracy. Be interested to know how it may be considered by an MOT tester. I seem to remember reading once that a GPS device couldn’t be regarded as a primary device to refer to for the machines speed. Does it record mileage, too? Looks the mutts…. Great piece of ‘fabrication’.
