All the way! ironically after 22 year of being a paratrooper, it just doesn't get old. in fact part of me misses this craziness.
I would need a little push to jump out a plane
TYFYS sir
@@user-dd9qq1ru7s no worries, in this kind of formation a push is always possible. more like a swift kick in the ass but possible.
@@abntemplar82 I would prefer a crippling punch in the back haha
Hey, im joining the paratropers next year. Can you tell me if that many jumps have damaged heavily your body? Sorry my Broken english
I was a Jarhead, Artillery....but I gotta say I have absolute respect for the US Army Airborne.
The Marines preferred invasion route is from the sea, but a massive assault from the air is pure bad assery, equipment and all, unreal.
We trained at a few Army bases, once or twice at Bragg.
Driving around their base I would see gun park after gun park filled with M-198, 155MM Howitzers. I looked over at my Marine buddy and asked, “are they dropping those guns out the back of F’n airplanes?”
He said “I think so dude.”
I thought....Holy shit. We have enough trouble just pulling them with our trucks.
A high school buddy of mine and West Point grad was an officer in the 75th Rangers.
He invited me to Benning once to watch a Mass Tac. They dropped in, seemed like all damn day long. Was very impressed.
One of the coolest Army cadences I ever heard:
Hey Mother Russia you better behave,
or we’ll fill your skies with Maroon Berets.
My father in law was 509th PIR Gingerbread Men.
🇺🇸 🍻
there isn't really any reason why the USMC can't have its own organic airborne insertion unit too. Hell, you guys have your own C-130s so you don't have to work with anyone else to do it.

Lol. I’m so far removed from the Corps, my cammies were the old woodland pattern. I got no clue what they got nowadays.
It's nice that the Army provides those pouches to carry the troops' huge balls.

My cousin did his Mass Tac with the 82nd and said he LOVED it. His older brother was in the Army as well. My family has a lengthy history in the military, mainly the Navy. This would be amazing to be a part of!
My father CSM Raymond Douglas Burbank (Green Beret) jumped with the 508th parachute Infantry Regiment (Red Devils) in Japan, the 10 1st, and 82nd Airborne Division .He also earned his German (10 th SFG, Bad Tolz Germany), and Vietnamese jump wings....miss him!

The paratroopers has went a long way from the C-47s they used to jump out of during WWII. My grandfather was in the 82nd airborne that jumped in Normandy on D-Day.
Joe The Juggalo my great uncle was in the 101st near omaha i think... he landed 5 miles away from where he should be
I jumped one a few times at Bragg in the 90s. The most nerve rattling jumps I had. Night, combat equipment was INSANE! You hear the D-bags slamming against st the side with each jumper that exits. First time I heard that, I was number two jumped and honestly thought door jumper had either slammed against the aircraft or had his head taken off hitting the horizontal stabilizer (that was a story we ALL heard!). Mad respect for those men who did it into enemy territory.
@@timprescott4634 I'm guessing the first time you jumped you nearly #2ed too? LOL just messing with ya. Thanks for your service
That has to be a hell of fun, thanks to all in service

I live in Aberdeen and many times the planes have gone overhead. My youngest daughter lives about two miles from Camp McCall. We have
seen convoys . We used to ride over to Fort Bragg to s drop zone and watch them jump. Thank you for your service
Can't believe it's been 27 years for me, but damn, it sure feels like it was yesterday, I guess it's true about the old saying, "Once a paratrooper always a paratrooper". And I would proudly do it all over again. Eighty deuce is on the loose...All the way!
My units were mostly chopper jumps, with very occasional C-130s and a rare 141. It is nothing short of ridiculous how much room there is in a C17. Many a jumpmaster walking on top of people's rucks in my day. Now a jumpmaster could ride a freeking Segway around in there if they wanted to.
My great uncle fought in the battle of the bulge in the 82nd and he was an Aussie super proud of him
I got out in 76. I jumped 130's, 141's, huey's, C7A, and Shanooks. I still miss the night jumps most.. All The Way!

If I could do it over I would want to be a paratrooper. So cool and vital to our country. No one else does it like we do.
My last jump March 1984. That aircraft in the video was so much more spacious then the C-130 & C-141b we jump from. We were packed in like sardines for both aircraft that we jumped from. As a jumpmaster
Max Sanches i think it was a c-17
C-17 jumps are the best. You have so much real estate in that thing and an actual ramp at the door to help with a solid exit
I was the right door safety on this jump. I can be heard at 1:07 telling the jumper with the camera to keep eye to eye contact with the safety. The AJ was a rookie and made some minor (but not dangerous) mistakes. I'm sure he got better with experience. Everyone landed safely. This was one of many wonderful Airborne operations I participated in over my career as a Jumpmaster.
6 hours of waiting for that minute of peace.
Good job! 2/325 82nd Airborne during 2003 04... Keep it up

This is insane. Look how much room both the PJM snd SJM have.In 130's and 141's the SJM would literally be crawling ontop of us. And Godforbid we'd do inflight rigging. Like a WWF royal rumble in there
Amazing men and women serve in our United States Armed Forces and these soldiers, as seen here, are at the very very sharp tip of the spear. My wife and I have raised five sons who have joined our United States Armed Forces: 1 Navy, 1 Marines, and 3 Army. Hooah!

Test book jump-master, job very well done!
God like. U have to have been there to understand, That feeling is classless, race less, completely in the moment. Loved every minute. AIRBORNE!!
Imagine executing that on enemy soil. One moment you're a passenger, a moment later you're in a battalion ready to go. Incredible.
I notice they drop the gear bag on a tether just prior to impact, I guess to lessen their impact with the earth? Ever sustain any injuries from any drops yourself?
What they don’t show is the 7hr wait all rigged up in the pack shed while they go back and forth on whether the jump is scratched or not. 😂😤
that looked like a pretty smooth landing!
Damn, I gotta say, after jumping from C130's and C141's back in '89 to '92...there is SO much LUXURY in a C17....DAMN!
On a side note, I had a 'door position' at least twice in my time with the 82nd, and...DAMN, there was nothing like a DOOR POSITION!!!!
Amazing! wish i was there. Andrea:)God Bless the 82 airborne.

full respect to anybody who jumps out of a plane either in military or civilian purpose. something i probably wpuld never do
I did one parachute jump once. It's one of the craziest feelings you can ever get
Our military is the backbone of our country and they make me proud !!
Today was my dad's birthday. he was 82nd airborne. Thanks for posting -♡
I am amazed at the room on that bird. A cherry could get lost.
Man I really miss that adrenaline rush right before you jump out. I miss the peace you get while your on your way down. And I DEFINITELY do not miss the moment when you hit the ground like a sack of potatoes.
So how does jumping out feel?
I received my jumpmaster wings in 1980 and after that most of my just wear as a jumpmaster. As a jumpmaster of an aircraft we grassed both sides of the door and actually hung out the aircraft on a small platform that was kicked out once the door was open. if they're still jumping from a C-130 then I'm sure jumpers have seen it. As a jumpmaster there were times that as soon as the door was open and we made our inspections we would just hang out the door until the 1 minute warning. That parachute and Reserve we're definitely not the ones we used I guess a lot has changed 35 years
God bless the US Army... keep our boys safe and strong !! USA !!

I sure miss that. I Was In E co. 782 back in the 90s. Looks like there's too much room in the aircraft. Also there's the big bright round thing that you can see with. Along with those new chutes.
what outstanding discipline!
crikey, how much weight did he sling below on landing?
Damn, sure is a noisy place in there. The stunning silence when your chute deploys and after you hit the ground has a quality hard to replicate anywhere else. Lovin the nice big canopies, how are landings with them?

Many things have changed since the late 70's early 80's. I would rather have a T10 or MC1 those chutes are slooooowww.
I had never seen this parachute until this video. 7 years in the 82d
They are suppose to be safer but I honestly can't tell. You can't stir them at all so if you are headed to the creek at (Normandy dz I think) than you are fucked. The water is like a foot deep and it's surrounded by thorn bushes. Pretty sure Normandy also has all the catus plants too so yeah. T11 sucks because in my experience your landing will always be on something unpleasant
@@gaiusthompson5298 are you currently in? because there is no way, they completely stopped using the t10 back around the time I was in airborne school back in 2015.
