Regarding the 3rd film. It's a good movie. I like it more than the first tbh. But being objective about it, it is the most "kiddified" of the 3. I think because this film got so heavy, some parents complained about how dark it was. So in the 3rd film they went hard toning it down & making it more slapstick. And the villain is the most Saturday Morning Cartoon & unserious of the 3 villains. But not gonna lie. Kai has the BEST theme song out of anyone in this series. Lmao Again, it's a good film imo. But it has it's flaws. I don't think you will like it better than this one. But I think you will still enjoy it for what it is, as well as some key story elements. It's a fun ride and has heart to it. It just doesn't go as hard as it's predecessors.
Technically the she said a warrior of black and white not a panda. Shen just interpreted it as a panda was going to defeat him. Anyone could have been the Dragon Warrior and been sent to defeat Shen, but it happened to be Po, a panda.
Definitely a rare example of a sequel just as good if not better that the original. But yeah also without number 1 number 2 wouldn’t be as good so I get you ❤
I really enjoyed watching Kung Fu Panda 2 with you guys as it’s up there with one of the best sequels to any movie🔥😁. This film had more of an emotion to it compared to the first one. Gary Oldman did a fantastic job playing the antagonist “Lord Shen” as Shen is one my favorite antagonists and I loved his look and design being a peacock as it wouldn’t be the most intimidating animal you would think of but in this film it looked menacing, methodical and evil👍. Loved to see the sequence of him performing inner peace where learnt about his past was so well shown/done with the visuals and the music👏👏. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care, enjoy life, stay healthy and have a good one❤️
You think the comedy is excessive in THIS one, you're probably gonna HATE the comedy in the 3rd movie. There's probably not a single serious moment in there that isn't ruined by at least one joke they decided to cram in out of nowhere.
Throughout all of Holiwood History, the Sequel, the second movie of a series that started out being just a single standalone movie, sucks and the third movie is written as an appology for the second movie. This is the one single exception to that rule. This Second movie is epic.
I like the first better, found it way funnier. The humor in the second is just timed so bad, it made it impossible to take it seriously and got pretty annoying. Shen will be on some intimidating monologue and then he's interrupted by having his clothes eaten for the 4th time. In the first, when Tai Lung is on screen, nobody's joking around. He felt unstoppable until Po made it look easy. I also think the first movie looked better too. Story is definitely deeper in the second one, but it kept being undercut by an attempt at a joke.
Kung Fu Panda is way better and that the reason why the reaction is way shorter. Ant that this semi interested "reacter" couple almost missed the final surprises nobody.

I love this movie! I do think it’s more emotional than the 1st movie so it makes it stronger.
