- In today's video I give you the break down of Black Opium Le Parfum and Black Opium Extreme! Both are really nice fragrances, but one of them I like better.... keep watching to find out which one I like the best.

I have the OG, Extreme and a sample of Le Parfume. I find the OG to be a good all around any occasion fragrance. Extreme has added cocoa so you get a rich dark chocolate mocha scent which leans a bit like a bitter gourmand more of an evening or cold weather scent. I love the intense vanilla in Le Parfume. For me the pear and vanilla in the initial spray is so comforting but it seems to completely disappear for about 30 minutes then reappears with a cozy vanilla coffee scent and lingers for the next 4-5 hours. think I want a full bottle!
If you took La Belle by Jean Paul Gaultier and Black Opium Extreme layered you would have Black Opium Le Parfum.
I have the extreme, and love the smell of coffee, so it's divine!

Hi Sasha, i will certainly go for the Le Parfum why because i'm not a great fan of a coffee scent and in the Le Parfum its very subtle and it does not bother me 😊i'm gonna ad the illicit green in my collection this year because in that one i also find the coffee note very subtle. I have the “le Parfum”, I love vanilla and it makes me feel more sofisticated and not “too much in the face”, as I feel with the Extreme version
I have all of the flankers but my favorite is the new Le parfum lovee lovee lovee it ❤
I enjoy the Le Parfum more due to my intense investigation for my signature scent.
I love warm Amber and Vanilla scents. A hint of coffee makes this scent memorable but not overwhelmingly coffee.
This scent also provides a sunny and fresh vibe that I am searching for as the nature lover that I am. I get headaches with to much floral, but this scent doesn’t bother me.
Very addicting with a mesmerizing confidence.

Thank you so much for your video❤ I have both perfumes and really love both of them. Even though I am a vanillalover I do prefer the Extreme versjon, there is just something about it.. it must be the stronger scent of coffee☕️
Yes they are both great.. one to me is more desert like with a cafe au Lait and the other is a expresso with a hint of sugar and cream!

Thank you Sasha, Ioved your video. I bought a small bottle of le Parfum, also because I love the bottle, and because of a couple great reviews. Tested it a while from a sample. My daughter still has a little bit left of the original BO and I love that one too. That dry drown is slightly more complex. With le Parfum you just get straight up vanilla. So I am a little hesitant. I never wear these type of fragrances, but I want a nighttime perfume, a date night perfume... I am 48 and don't want to wear a screaming scent but sweet and dark, yes;-) Any other suggestions? xxxx Sarah
Thank you! I find that the Le Parfum really gets close to the skin and around 6 hours I cannot really smell it anymore. Did you want a suggestion of a fragrance with coffee, or a good one with vanilla?

Hey girl! So I used to have the original edp, and now have the Extreme (which I love) and Nuit Blanche (which I also love). Nuit Blanche is beautiful because it has amped up creamy, lactonic notes. (Using the added notes of rice, milk and caramel.) The downside is it really doesn't last long at all. A big bummer. (On a side note, I tend to have issue with perfumes with lactonic notes smelling sour on my skin, so I have to only spray on my hair and clothes. I do this with Blanche Bete, Remember Me and Calaluna, as well as Nuit Blanche.)
I really do want to try the new Parfum. It sounds really nice. I'm very curious as to how different it really is from the original edp. If it's not vastly different I wouldn't mind too much as I don't have the original anymore anyway. Also I don't think having the Extreme version is redundant at all for those who already have the original. As it's a much darker, coffee enhanced scent. I totally see why the Extreme version is so loved. Thanks for the review!! 😊
Hi there!!! If you love La Belle from Jean Paul Gaultier, you will get that in Le parfum. Actually if you mixed La Belle with Extreme you will have Black Opium Le Parfum!

I think it would work great layered together. Black opium is great but so is le parfum. But i notice both dont last along time on me without layering.

Yes Black Opium Extreme is the best... Le Parfum is delicious smelling but lighter and gets a lot closer to the body
Being a vanilla lover, I just had to get the Le Parfum. It is a very nice vanilla BUT surprisingly I find it a bit boring and 'meh' 🤔 I use it quite often but mostly for layering. Don't regret buying it but I don't see myself getting a new bottle.
Layering with it is a great idea... what do you normally layer it with?

I have the extreme and I love the extreme waaay better. Also, the extreme has more character to me. I have back ups. The la parfum kind of made me nauseated and you would’ve thought with all that vanilla , it would’ve lasted but it didn’t 🤷🏻♀️ I didn’t like the la parfum one

I think it really depends on the skin because I put the le parfum at 9pm, went out, then went to sleep and when I woke up I could still smell the sweetness of the vanilla

I have the extreme version as the original seemed too sweet from a sample. But I kind of miss the sweetness. 😅 still enjoy the extreme though.
The extreme has a little sweetness, the Le Parfum is much sweeter because of the juicy pear note

@Sasha Scents I think I will be going with the extreme, it seems to be getting the more votes from comments and yourself, I am always seeing what I can add to her collection, I just gave her yara couple of days ago, as I placed an order and it was getting alot of hype lately, she likes it, I randomly gift her perfumes.

How strong is the patchouli? I'm not a huge fan of patchouli but everything besides that I love.
It’s not strong… you will mostly get vanilla and coffee. Try it first at Macys or Sephora to see if you like it

@@r-erin2go380 Here is a tip for lotion that will save you money! Get an unscented lotion like Cera-ve or Cetaphil.... pump a medium size amount in your hand and then spray several sprays from your fragrance directly into the lotion... apply to damp skin and then finish off with a few sprays directly on your skin of the perfume! You will have the scent with you all day!

Le perform doesn’t seem nice at all. I heard it suffers from weak longevity. And who the heck wants to smell too sweet anyways? That’s nuts
I put not even a full spray on my wrist yesterday morning and now, the next morning I can STILL smell it even tho I have a really bad cold. I don’t think the top notes are actually that sweet, they are fruity but in a more sweet/sour sense? It obviously isn’t but it kinda smells like a more intense physalis smell, it’s quite elegant. The top notes fade quite fast sadly, but the dry down smells like a really nice cup of vanilla latte to me. At least on my skin, it’s not sugary sweet at all, more creamy with some warmer sweetness and vanilla to it. The smell it has on test strips and in perfumery’s is completely deceiving in my opinion, definitely worth a try in a neutral environment, if you like comfy, sweet yet (younger) adult scents tho.
@@hopelessx338 it sounds like too much vanilla. I want something floral, with some earthiness and some spice too. Do the top notes also fade away in the original? The top notes are the first two to three scents right?
@@Animejook I feel like the top notes take longer to fade away in the original but they to me seem WAY sweeter when they are actually on the skin. You have to smell the original on your skin, it’s not like actual coffee at all in my opinion. On me the base notes were very unpleasant and and the contrast between the sharp coffee and the extreme sweetness of the top notes, to me, is very strange. There’s a ton of people who really like black opium, but what you described to absolutely doesn’t fit black opium in general. There are flower notes, of course, but the top notes to me smell very much like a candy store. Le perfume is generally a more softer and rounder version of that. As I said, on me it very much smells much like very soft coffee with a lot of vanilla, the vanilla is definitely more elegant and less sugary sweet tho. It almost kinda reminds me of Shea butter in a sense, it’s very nice and “neutral”. Both black opiums are definitely a sweet fragrance tho, in my opinion the original is even sweeter and if you want a flowery perfume I think that black opium is not usually a good fit. The original is extremely bold in my opinion and at least to me comes across as very juvenile and borderline unpleasant on most people.
@@Animejook top notes are the ones that fade the quickest, middle comes after that and the base scents are usually what lingers.
