One of the constants on the black church! It will never not be sang. And Jaron I agree 💯. I grew up in the 70s & 80s and was a young adult in the 90s. I sang in choirs starting at 8 years old. I MISS choirs so much! Those songs that touch you deep down in your soul is non-existent anymore. That makes me sad 😞. Thanks for another good one.

I miss the choir,youth choir/mass choir days from back in the day😊. I was a child in the 80’s and teen in the 90’s visiting other churches for second service’s and anniversaries singing and listening to them sing🥰those were good times and I do wish they were still around on a grand scale

I was literally just thinking about this song a couple days ago. You tickled me talking about how you never hear this song sung correctly. 😂 There are soooo many contemporary gospel songs like that. I guess its a side effect of the Black church's oral tradition. But even strong and wrong, we still sing to the glory of God.🙌🏾 (And yes, bring back the mass choir!)
