    ResMed AirFit P30i is the first pillow mask that fit me consistently, and gave me a good seal for several hours. I could not get a reliable consistent fit with the N30i nose piece, every 3-4 hours it would lose seal, I would wake up, reseat the mask.
    With the P30i I did have to change my bipap settings to get my AHI back under 10.

    I love this mask. So comfortable! And no more elephant walk to the bathroom.

    My only complaint about the P10 is that it makes my septum, where if meets the top lip, sore after a couple months. Regarding the hose, I place my arm under it after putting the head gear in place. No problem rolling side-to-side and having to adjust the location of the hose.

    I tried the p30i but didnt like it as much as the p10 which I've used for years. The p30 would be good to try if you think you might benefit from a full face mask as its not as cumbersome.

    I am a P 10 user currently and yes the head gear straps stretch out after about 2 months. I am looking into and reading and watching reviews on the P30 but what I want to know is this: I'm a side and stomach sleeper. If I sleep on my side or stomach, will I pinch off the air getting to my nose on one side?
    Thank you in advance for your reply.

    Does the p30i have a hard plastic nose piece like the n30i. Seems some reviewers and wearers are complaining about the hard plastic. I ave used the P10 for years but want to try the top hose location.

      Matthew Paul it’s very similar in its feel. The difference will be in the strap tightness at a guess. There is money back on the masks for 14 days so gives you a good chance to to try it.

    I’m currently using the n30i but snapped one of my pillows and am looking at trying out the p30i. Is it more comfortable than the Phillips version? And what size would fit best? I’m currently using the small wide but was using the medium and I find both feel a bit restrictive at times and both quite frequently leak air quite loudly that wakes my wife up. Any advice would be helpful before I make the purchase. Thanks.

      Aaron McOnie thanks for the message. Tough to say on noise until I see nostrils.... you can email a nostril pic of you like... anunn@sleeprighr.com.au... weird I know, but I’ll tel you the size. I always say ResMed better than Philips.

    I’ve had the P10 for a few days and it’s rubbed the lower inside of my nose raw, makes me sneeze and it’s painful. Do you get used to that? It’s nice and light so I like that part....

    Tried the N30 and the mask doesn't fit properly and it moves as you turn your head on the pillow. Since the N30i uses a similar nasal pillow, it would Not be considered.
    Using the P10 for years and the P30i uses the similar nasal pillow so it shouldn't be a problem, just get used to a more wrap around head gear than the P10.
    Resmed SHOULD state the differences above for people to know what the differences are. The nasal pillow type for the N30(i) models don't work well for some people because the pillow is Very soft and is basically 2 nasal openings cut through a silicone mold.
    The P10 & P30i uses the same nasal molding that it goes Into one's nasal openings and the silicone is Much firmer, which makes a difference in a proper seal.
    The problem is just the stretchable P10 headgear which is Too tight and stays tight, at least for me. Now the Newer headgear version has an adjustable strap but it's Too Short! Buy the generic ones which has a Longer strap!

    I have the resmed 10. It’s set up for APAP. I absolutely can’t stand it. I’ve tried all of these masks. I’m retired military. I have TBI, asthma, and highly allergic to dust mites. I have to clean mine thoroughly before every use. Yet every time I put that thing on it gives me the feeling of dust shooting right to the back of my throat, I cough for a bit and spend the 1st 30 mins or so trying to get my crap together. The longest I’ve ever been able to withstand mine was 4 hours. My side effects were feeling like I had a head cold, feeling as if I have been in a fog, some serious bloating and gas, and my chest felt like it was bruised. I’m not overweight, I do not snore much, when I do it is very mild, ( I’ve recorded myself). I do not have an obstruction in my throat. I also have insomnia. It takes me forever to get to sleep and as soon as I start to get there, I violently jerk. It wakes me up and it’s repeat the process. It’s been like this over 10 yrs. I’ve not had 1 recorded min of sleep since I’ve had this machine. The VA will not give me any alternative treatments until I can record 7 days of 4 consecutive hours. I couldn’t make it to day 3 before I need to take a few weeks to recover. I’m a side sleeper due to sleeping on my face or back gives me migraines. I haven’t been able to remember things and getting clumsy and highly irritable. For the past 8-10 yrs I’ve been on a decline. Not sure where else to go or What else to do. It’s taken me quite a while to comment to this since I’ve had to take enough notes to get down. I’m almost positive my apnea is neurological. None of my TBI’s had proper treatment, it was always Motrin 800mg and keep it moving. Hell, I didn’t even know what a TBI was back then. Let alone PTSD. I just assumed my side effects were either part of the job, or character flaws. Now I’ve been researching and it’s crazy. I know I gotta do something.

      @shawnfitzgerald9396 4 роки тому

      Not here. I appreciate it. I’ve been searching everything I absolutely can to find some way to figure something else out. It’s recording me with an average of 1.5 interruptions of breathing per hr. That’s with me awake 🤦🏼‍♂️ I only slept a total of 45 mins during my actual sleep study. The had 218 interruptions during that period so he said he really didn’t have much to go off of.
