I've used ALL of these - my favorite is the Phillips Dreamwear nasal cradle mask - it's the most comfortable, better for me than the Resmed N30i (cradle was too large between my nose and mouth and overall not comfortable). The N30 straps are flimsy and didn't really hold the nasal cradle in place. I just don't understand why Resmed couldn't make the Swift FX with a nasal cradle which would hold the nasal cradle in place. I made a hybrid mask with the N30 nasal cradle taped to the Swift FX mask, until I discovered the Dreamwear mask. Evora has some hard plastic on the sides of the cradle and the head frame was very hard - but a good try since it's easy to put on or take off - I really wanted this one to work. My only issue with the Dreamwear and N30i - my Airsense 10 machine is now making a whining noise - (probably the blower), is past warranty and my insurance won't replace it - the noise transfers through the tubing - so that is the only downside, dealing with machine noise. I still prefer the Dreamwear even with this noise. Appreciate your reviews!!
I'M a new user. It's been just over a month. I'm fitted with the Dreamwear, pillow mask. I have a lot of issues with the back strap riding up my hair. I tried the ponytail fix like your wife (no luck). I flipped that farthest back starp upside down so it would lay closer to the base of my skull (some luck), and I tried hair pins to keep it from riding upwards (no luck). Plus, I have to put the extra material up at the junction wear the ear part meets the face part because my hair kept getting wound or pulled into that joint. I wish my Dreamwear had a strap like the baseball one. Great video.❤
That one is helpful will you get the same results as the one that cover your mouth . I cough alot at night and I have to take it off to spit can I get one like this one that only cover your nose??
I love the Phillips dreamwear nasal cradle mask. It seals beautifully, weighs practically nothing and doesn't have that awkward elephant trunk tubing from the front. The first mask I got had a nasal cushion which irritated the inside of the nostrils. The tube stuck out from the front and ended up wrapped around my neck by morning. A really uncomfortable combination. I'll only go buy a mask now where the tube sits on top of my head and sticks down behind my pillow and then snakes out to my cpap machine. And the dreamwear doesn't have those irritating stuck up the nostrils buds.
@@auzzygirl8175 my first mask (another brand) had those pokey buds that suck up in the nostrils. I hated it. I'm using the nasal cushion Dreamwear and haven't had any problem with the mask. I think you have the nasal pillow mask. It has buds.
For the folks using the Evora & N30i; isn’t the sound of air next to one’s ears worse than a hose in the front? I’m a new user and have struggled for three months with ONE night where I was able to sleep. I wasn’t given a fitting or choice of mask. Started with the P10 and then to the N20. The headgear on the N20 gives me a headache so I’m back to the P10. Both make a lot of noise for me…very light sleeper. Thanks for this video. I was sent the N30 by mistake and it wasn’t better. I’m feeling like there isn’t a mask for light sleepers!
Very nice review. One suggestion... it would be helpful to display an on-screen title of each mask as you review them. I like the second one but had to go back to the video and listen again for the name of it. Thanks.
This was incredibly helpful. I just got Medicare this year and finally got a apnea home test and I definitely have apnea at 23 times. I guess that’s a lot. Anyway I am going to go have the vivAer septum RF procedure first as my surgery many years ago means a new surgery would be very invasive to redo my septum. The RF should correct some of the nasal breathing issues. I have no idea if a bipap or cpap would be best for me yet. This video helped me so much in understanding the nasal masks, as that’s what I’d like versus a full cpap. I’m a back and side sleeper but do not like the headgear as I have long hair.
I am fairly new to cpap. 2+months, and barely a full night sleep yet. I was fitted to the Evora medium, but maybe should have been given small. Frustrated, the lower part of the cusion you mentioned rubs the lip of some, I think the opening is too obstructive. It covers half of my nostrils. AND I should just get used to it. Was told I could try the Dream.. pillow. Fit was not much better, but as a side/stomach sleeper, it was like sleeping in a wind tunnel- so noisy. I have cut off 1/2 inch of the lower silicon, and it has helped. Do any of the nasal cradels have less inner lip space, like zero?
What can be done about a person who’s mask/pillows have a strap that is right against my eye and occasionally touches my eye when turning at night? I have psoriasis in my nose at times so having a pillow is horrible sometimes. Any suggestions as to how to get my CPAP company to suggest or allowThe cradle? I don’t seem to get have people in my area that want to let me TRY nasal pillow/cradle equipment. When the pillow/cradle works the straps poke me in my eyes at night or move around my head. Are there any standards for measurements of heads, distance between The Eye and where the strap would be?

I ordered the Resmed Airfit n30i nasal CPAP mask. I had been using the Res Mirage Swift II, which has the air hose connection on the front of the mask next to the nose. I love the Resmed Airfit N30i! I decided to try it out for a nap and did not wake up for six hours. I sleep on my stomach with my head on its side. I shift my head from side to side when I sleep. It was great not to have to wake up to shift the position of the airline every time I switched from side to side. I had my first solid uninterrupted restful sleep in years.
Regarding the hair issue you mentioned on the ResMed N30i, there's a simple fix for a woman. I just run my finger through my hair just above the back neoprene strap, like a hair dresser would use the tail of her comb to portion out sections of your hair. Once I flip the upper section over the strap, the headgear is going nowhere.
I just came across this and am so happy!! i use the last mask you demonstrated and i am a side sleeper but never do it because I thought i would pinch off too much air lol but hearing you talk about it, I think it would be ok! thanks so much!

I've only used the N30i one night and have already concluded it is my favorite CPAP mask by far. I previously tried the AirTouch N20, F30i, and P30i, and there were things I didn't like about all of them. The N30i has none of those issues. It is a loaner mask from my health care provider and the cushion is not exactly the same as either the old version with the hard plastic or the new softer version. I assume it is what Resmed refers to as an SLM (Sleep Lab Mask) variant intended for multi-patient use, and is the soft version but without the diffuser in the exhalation vent, so it blows air straight out the front. I'm surprised to read that some people have trouble with leakage with the soft version of the cushion, because I had the lowest leakage I have ever had with a nasal or pillow mask - 0 L/Min - even though I slept on both my side and my back and didn't use a chinstrap or mouth tape to try to control my mouth breathing. It stayed in position the whole night and was very quiet, probably quieter than the regular version with the diffuser. The previous two nights, when I used the P30i, I had 13 L/min leakage, which is still considered acceptable but a lot higher than zero!
Thank you for all this information. I am waiting for my sleep study, so I am just gathering information. I have been diagnosed with OSA before, but fell through the cracks somehow ( probably was not approved by my insurance) and never received my CPAP.. i found out then that i can't use a full mask and neeI a nasal one. I now have had an increase in apnea attacks, so I'm waiting for the new sleep study.
I am interested in that last mask. Couple of things, I am a stomach sleeper with my face typically facing to my left, I also have a really bad deviated septum but it is right at the nasal entrance of my right nostril...so pillow masks never work. I currently use an AirFit F20 in medium but am interested in something that lets me stomach sleep easier without shoving a hard mask into my eyes or into the bridge of my nose. I need some expert advice. Would that last mask work well with my issues?

I really wish I could find a cradle that has a 4 point strap. Every single one I have tried, no matter the size the back just loves to ride up the back of my head while I sleep and then leads to it just coming out of place. Been such a struggle
I use the Resmed airtouch f20, it is the best full face mask I've used. The foam cushion is so much better than a silicon mask. Only down side is the short life of approximately 30 days.
Love the N30i but I wish they would fix the headgear because I seem to wake up several times during the night to pull the back strap down because it rides up with my hair
I just replaced the headband of the N30i with the Dreamwear headgear with the plastic arms. That solved all my problems. Now I have the best of both. The quieter and for me better fitting N30i with the better Dreamwear headgear.
I don't love the headgear arms on the new Dreamwear model. The plastic arms pull on the side tubing and collapses the tube cutting off airflow. I much prefer the old headband even though it rids up your head now and then. Also the front hole on the nasal pillow freezes my arm at night xD Sometimes I wake up and my whole arm is ice cold cause air is blowing on it for hours. I might try the Resmed model? Allthoug I just ordered a new dreamwear last week :(
Thanks for the great video, you covered a lot of ground. I started with the Resmed F20, then tried the P10. The fit was great with the medium pillow, but I felt like I had air starvation due to the small nasal holes The Larger pillow lets me breathe better, but It leaks more. Both tend to irritate my nose after a few days. I'm thinking I might need to try a nasal cushion with a larger air hole.
Sounds like a great option for you. Link below to our Nasal Cradle options. Good Luck! cpapmyway.com/store/index.php?route=product/search&search=cradle&category_id=168
@@CPAPmyway Which brand would be best. I don't mind hose in front? That isn't an issue for me. I use airfit pillows which worked very well until recently. Now I have lots of leaks.
Great video! I have worn the Airfit N30 and Dreamwear Nasal Mask. I have long hair and when I wear Airfit N30, the top strap slides down and meets the bottom strap at the back of my head. Almost ends up being a unistrap. Because of this, it pulls on my nasal cushion and leaks. When I wear the Dreamwear, I have to wear a small headgear so that it stays on top of my head. If I wear a medium head gear, it slides down the back of my head like the previous mask. I like the Dreamwear best of all. Comfortable, wear covers over the side straps so there’s very minimal strap marks on my cheeks, and doesn’t irritate my nose. Since I’m a side sleeper, I definitely prefer the over the top tube because when I wear a mask with tubing in front of, I’m constantly pulling the tube out of my way. Dreamwear for me.
I am new to cpap and picked the Philips Dreamwear nasal cradle mask and have a ResMed airsense 11. Which is the proper machine mask type setting for this mask? Do I pick "pillows" or "nasal" from the machine settings menu? There is no option for nasal cradle. thanks.
I have had the Dreamwear for about a week and am still getting used to it. Loads of air is coming from the vents - on the cushion itself and there's one where the tube joins at the swivel. I cannot talk when I wear the mask. I get a rush of air out of my mouth. I was so surprised to hear you speaking naturally while wearing the mask.
I didn't know how to disconnect my full frame (I thought that it would break) so I washed the whole N30 every day! I also kinda want to try the other masks (and pillows) to see if I like one of them bett!
There is an exhalation port on the front of that mask near the tube connection. This blog explains it well. Link below. cpapmyway.com/blog/why-is-my-cpap-mask-leaking
I have been using the dreamwear mask for a few years now. The only drawback I have found is the headgear moving up. I have naturally curly hair and it is long. I find the back part of the headgear is always moving up, this wakes me up so I have to readjust the mask. He did mention having a pony tail in so I am going to try that tonight. I have tried clips, barretts, hair pins so far none of those have worked. Does any one have any other ideas that I could try?
Are you using the version that has the little arm extenders to move the headgear down on the head more. It is standard when you order a new one these days.
@@CPAPmyway Yes I am...and it really isn't helping...still waking up cause the back is riding up. Have to pull it back down then hopefully go back to sleep.
Great video! I started my therapy about 12 days ago with the P10. It has not been great to say the least. The pillows irritate my nostrils. It's kind of like when you have a cold and you've wiped your nose 500 times. I spoke with my provider about switching to something different. The N30 looks like a pretty good option. Do you know if the pillow and cradle are interchangeable with the head piece? Other trouble I'm having with the P10 is maintaining a good seal. It seems I have to constantly play with it during the night. Too tight and it's irritating, too loose and I don't get a good seal.
@@CPAPmyway I requested switching to the N30 but they are pushing me towards the N30i. Something about the frame having the same base as the P10. Is that accurate? This was her comment: "She said she would recommend the N30i mask instead only because the cushions sizes are not compatible with the frame so if you need to try a diff size you would need to get a new frame to support the cushion size she said N30i would be a better option."
@@tomacquilano1304 Well.... she is going to make me check. I thought that the N30 sizes were all interchangeable on the N30 frame. The N30 and N30i are very different. The N30 is a similar fit to the P10 just with a cradle instead of pillows.

I currently use an AirFit F20 in medium but am interested in something that lets me stomach sleep easier without shoving a hard mask into my eyes or into the bridge of my nose. I need some expert advice. Would that last mask work well with my issues?
It certainly could be a great option. Unfortunately, you won't truly know until you try it. We offer a 30 day guarantee so that if you buy it here and don't like it, then you can exchange it for something better for free. Link below to them.

I really wish I could find a cradle that has a 4 point strap. Every single one I have tried, no matter the size the back just loves to ride up the back of my head while I sleep and then leads to it just coming out of place. Been such a struggle
That is no fun. Have you tried the DreamWear with the added arms to move the headgear lower?
I use the Resmed airtouch f20, it is the best full face mask I've used. The foam cushion is so much better than a silicon mask. Only down side is the short life of approximately 30 days.
Thanks for the input. Glad you are doing well.
Love the N30i but I wish they would fix the headgear because I seem to wake up several times during the night to pull the back strap down because it rides up with my hair
Yeh that is a bit of an issue for a lot of people. Thanks for watching.
I just replaced the headband of the N30i with the Dreamwear headgear with the plastic arms. That solved all my problems. Now I have the best of both. The quieter and for me better fitting N30i with the better Dreamwear headgear.
Excellent video. Like the direct discussion of pros and cons. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
High pitched sound out of nasal air escape is driving me crazy
Thanks for the input.
Allthoug I just ordered a new dreamwear last week :(
There are no arms on the ResMed model and a very different exhalation port.
Good Luck!

I wear X small nasal pilliow. I am not sure a small would work.
It would be close.
@@CPAPmyway Thank you. It is worth trying some out then.
@@CPAPmyway Which brand would be best. I don't mind hose in front? That isn't an issue for me. I use airfit pillows which worked very well until recently. Now I have lots of leaks.
@@myst9591 I would try the N30 or Evora in that case since they are most similar to what you are using.
Glad the video was helpful.
I am new to cpap and picked the Philips Dreamwear nasal cradle mask and have a ResMed airsense 11. Which is the proper machine mask type setting for this mask? Do I pick "pillows" or "nasal" from the machine settings menu? There is no option for nasal cradle. thanks.
I do not think that there is a crossover for that. My guess would be nasal.
After time you will get that comfortable most likely. It just takes time to acclimate to the pressure and mask.
I didn't know how to disconnect my full frame (I thought that it would break) so I washed the whole N30 every day!
I also kinda want to try the other masks (and pillows) to see if I like one of them bett!
Thanks for watching.
I would not like the hose at the front. Mine is the soft Silicone Phillips “Dream wear” one with the hose at the top and a Resmed Machine
Thanks for the input.
So far the Phillips has been the best fitting. But make too much noise for me and keeps me awake. The fit is a dream though.
Thanks for the input.
Very thorough. Appreciated your thoughts and the thoughts you gathered from others especially females.
Thanks for watching!
You might want to dangle a Kleenex to show how much force of air coming from the diffuser.
Great idea.
I have a N20 Resmed nasal mask and air comes out from the tubing . Is this normal
There is an exhalation port on the front of that mask near the tube connection. This blog explains it well. Link below.

I miss the Breeze, it was such a comfortable mask coming over the top of the head and no pressure on my face.
Thanks for the input.
Why does the diffuser filter turn black?
Maybe mold?

You can use the pillow (p30i) on the N30i frame for sure. Good Luck!
@@CPAPmyway I have the P10 frame and pillows. Will the N30 cradle fit on the P10 frame?
@@tomacquilano1304 Those two will not work together unfortunately.
