This is Zeth's Dad, just wanted to thankyou. It's an opportunity to see my son doing his thing and seeing his passion to do a great job. The old days of working out in the garage on his 77 Nova seem like nothing compared to his skillset today. Love your channel! Thanks again : Tom Key
I have no idea why I am here. I am a city boy who will never touch a JD tractor/planter. Yet I am glued to the screen like I am studying for a final exam. I think it's just watching people who are at the top of their professions do their things. Master mechanics and a Master farmer gettin' it done. I went over to watch the full video of ZK MasterTech and was very impressed with the more technical stuff.
It's always a good thing to help the neighbors when they need it. Because one day your gonna need a helping hand and they'll be the first ones to respond.
I say the same thing to my dog, to funny. You have to be a certain age to appreciate the humor. Thanks for doing what you do. Most people have no idea of the world a large scale farmer plays in ( me included ). Keep the faith and stay strong.
This entire video is the strongest case for Right To Repair ive ever seen. 2 guys who know exactly what there talking about handling a JD piece of machinery better than just about anyone in a green shirt ever could.
I dont know if I will ever be able to watch your show again. I lost my wife to cancer on March 4th. We love watching your show together. It hurts to much now. I would not wish this kind of pain on anyone.
Good job Zach, I've been waiting for several years for planter inspection video, The general public now knows there's more to planters than what you have been showing!! Thank you !!
Caleb not only brought great ideas and knowledge to the table.. but an extra thumbs up to the vid for his epic soup strainer and crumb catcher on his face!
Most interesting video on the planter, didn't realize how technical things have become. Best part of this video was you helping your neighbor out. Nice to see that still being done.
Emagine how much better this world would be if we just helped everybody out. Great video you might have thought it was nothing helping your neighbor out but I bet he thought he won a million bucks. A little help goes a long way. Thanks
Way to be a great neighbor! Wish you well in the coming planting, another 1-2 weeks and I will broadcast Winter Peas, Rye and Clover covers (late I know). Excited for the prospect of green plants again.
not a farmer but i work closely with a lot of farmers... great channel and only a matter of time before your at a million... i still watch every video...
Remarkable how each machine-planters-combines-forage choppers-strip till- now requires skilled technicians to properly diagnose, repair, setup and maintain. Agriculture needs people more than ever and at higher levels of achievement.
Glad you’re back … and never rush for me … you’re already My guy farmer friend I’ve never met … and you feel like a brother … brother in arms these days …. Thanks Zak !
I've loved watching this channel since I first found it ~2019, now you have given me another rabbit-hole to descend with ZK. I've been wanting to know more about the tech side of tractors!
Great video. The first thing I check in the morning is to see if you, Laura & Grant, and Cole have posted anything new (you were the first I started watching several years ago). Had a 7200, 24-row, Deere planter myself; and I've went to Sloan's in Taylorville, IL for parts (I think that was the first of their dealerships; and I was surprised to see their service rep. in your shop). Hoping that I can meet all of you at, maybe, the Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA. this summer.
You could put 1, 2, or 3 colored zip ties on each hose denoting remote left, remote right, return. Reduce your thinking and make it a visual identifier. All singles are remote left, all doubles are right, and triples are returns.
Plus, if you watch zk's video, they are installing some special aftermarket coil wraps on the end of the hoses that make identification very clear for future reference.
One of the Techs I worked with at Deere taught me if you scoop up the floor dry and oil then put down another layer of floor dry spray it down with Brake clean push it around with a broom then scoop it up again it comes up nice and Clean
I watched there two videos first and believe me they go in depth on Zachs planter. Videos are a little longer about an hour long but they have a load of information on those videos. I highly recommend zk master.
I have been getting notifications that ZK Mastertech had a video of your service call. I did not want to watch their video until I watched yours. When I moved back to Missouri, my wife wondered why I preferred to live out of town, instead of inside and closer to services. When I need help, there is always a farmer willing and able to help me out.
It’s a good day when your home sick the mn millennial farmer posts keep up the great work zach love what you do your the guy who made me get in to farming with Larson farms
Real-Time Kinematic RTK stands for Real-Time Kinematic and is a technique that uses carrier-based ranging and provides ranges (and therefore positions) that are orders of magnitude more precise than those available through code-based positioning
Having seen nearly all of your vids, including the season-end equip power washing, I’d noticed some grime and residue on the equip in previous posts…extremely glad to see that I’m not the only one winter sneaks up on some years (to say nothing of your Covid Xmas Present). Thanks for all you do!
Good stuff Zach. I appreciate you sharing the more nuanced issues you have to address on a regular basis as a sort of cost of doing business. Ill be sure to check out Caleb's video as well. I find the technical side of the job pretty fascinating.
It's so awesome that Zeth can show many repairs on John Deere on his UA-cam channel, now you are field ready to plant very soon. You should place a battery disconnector switch on your truck so it won't drain your batteries fast during winter days.
Hopefully you were able to buy your fertilizer and chemicals last year as other UA-cam farming channels have been talking about the prices for them going very high.
Thanks for the content Zach. It brings a smile to my face when I see you have uploaded. Also just a question do you listen to country music, and if you do who is the best country singer/ song writer?
It was interesting to see the other half of the ZK planter series! Hopefully you won't need to change the Cat 2/3 hitch around very often. Luckily the planter didn't drop off last year.
Met you at commodity classic Friday I asked to shake your hand, you were talking with nic Welker and randy. Not sure why I didn't ask to get a picture with all 3 of you!! Was amazed how dirty bourbon st was great party place but wow dirty
As much as the tractor was running in the shop DEF (government juice) kept the shop from being a cloud that the doors would have had to be wide open to clean air with the closed doors
Hello now that the planter is hooked up by a pro lol On #1 hydraulic put one zip tie on the left hose #2 hydraulic put 2 zip ties on the left line #3 put 3 so on so forth then next year you hook up and don't have to think just grab hose and put it where it goes

You can rightly be very proud of Zeth, he has excellent product knowledge and a good manner of presenting it on his channel. Thanks.
He's a great guy! Very knowledgeable and passionate about what he's doing! It was awesome having him and Caleb here!!
That’s the power of this channel man. Good people doing good work! Good job everyone!
Tom Key, you can be proud of your son, Zeth !! I'm always impressed when they do a repair job. It looks pretty complicated to a city boy like me !!
This is Terrys wife. Terry passed away November 2020, This was his favorite channel to watch! Thank you for your channel!

I am a 50 year old IT desk jockey in Colorado and it makes me day when a new video drops on this channel!
It's always a good thing to help the neighbors when they need it. Because one day your gonna need a helping hand and they'll be the first ones to respond.
For me, helping your neighbour was the best part of this video. That is something that more people should do. The world will be a better place.
What a freaking pleasure watching Zeth and Caleb display their knowledge and work ethic!!!
I say the same thing to my dog, to funny. You have to be a certain age to appreciate the humor. Thanks for doing what you do. Most people have no idea of the world a large scale farmer plays in ( me included ). Keep the faith and stay strong.

5 thumbs up on this comment! 👍

It’s pretty bitchen
These 2 guys have sooooooo much knowledge!! They need a raise ! !
Most interesting video on the planter, didn't realize how technical things have become. Best part of this video was you helping your neighbor out. Nice to see that still being done.
So cool to watch them work on farm equipment! You can tell they really know what they’re doing because it looks easy to them!
Glad to see your still alive 👋 it has gotten to the point that my wife is asking me everyday any new videos from the farmer guy yet lol.
We've been busy but the good news is we have a pile of videos on the shelf and ready to drop soon!
Love this channel I live in Melbourne Aus have no idea the first thing about farming corn n beans but mechanical side is what brings me here
Thank you!
Zeth sure knows his stuff! Gotta go check out his channel!!
Thanks!
Thanks for pointing us toward Zeth's channel. Super helpful!
He's legit!

THIS is what I miss! Love the tech part of your videos and seeing your equipment come to life!
Go watch zk instead
Glad you got the planter looked over can't wait to see it planting some seeds
I've loved watching this channel since I first found it ~2019, now you have given me another rabbit-hole to descend with ZK. I've been wanting to know more about the tech side of tractors!
That rabbit hole can get deep, be careful!!
Two of my favorite UA-camr's and I am not even a farmer. Have a blessed year!
After fighting with your strip tiller / deep bander last autumn, perhaps a call to ZK could have saved a lot of headaches 😅
This stuff is so cool my dad is a farmer and I hope when I take over i will be able to have stuff like that.
always help the neighbors

You could put 1, 2, or 3 colored zip ties on each hose denoting remote left, remote right, return. Reduce your thinking and make it a visual identifier. All singles are remote left, all doubles are right, and triples are returns.
They're already labeled, it still just takes some thinking with all the returns, etc
Plus, if you watch zk's video, they are installing some special aftermarket coil wraps on the end of the hoses that make identification very clear for future reference.
Zach, we used kitty litter as floor dry...real cheap if you get the unscented...
Sure is a LOT of horses to connect, Zach !! Love watching your videos, as well as your Master Mechs in action !!
I’ve been watching Zacks channel and am impressed with his knowledge. Caleb is on another planet with his knowledge, sharp guys.
It's Zach
You mean Zeth?
I remember You did take photos of all the connections when you unhooked it from tractor after last season in the cold storage shed
One of the Techs I worked with at Deere taught me if you scoop up the floor dry and oil then put down another layer of floor dry spray it down with Brake clean push it around with a broom then scoop it up again it comes up nice and Clean
Man the knowledge those guys know is impressive, years of experience
"Is Timmy in the well again?" I love Ana hoping she gets that tractor ride soon
Lol, yes she goes nuts when ever something starts. Maybe she's just happy the batteries started it this time. 🤔
@@frombryant6678 It's probably due to a high pitched sound that each thing makes that she hears, what can cause that, I have no clue.
@@CRice-ln8lm That's as good of explanation as any. My dogs love to ride along so that's what I assumed.
Keep up the videos They are awesome and your podcast is the best you,and your wife randy and Tina are awesome thank you
Spring planting it the best feeling, you are so hopeful for a good year. Get er done!
We set our planter with colored zip ties. And the ones that go on the right side we add a white or black zip tie
Good exposure for Zeth to grow his YT channel
Awesome video! I’ve been watching their videos for awhile now pretty good content!(yours is still better lol)!
Watching these videos motivates me to get out and work on all my hay equipment. My john deer disc mower is in several pieces at the moment
I can hear the cold in the opening snow crunch.
Look into Outback Wraps for your hydraulics, I just put them on ours. They’re color coded and labeled so there is no thinking to it!
Springs in the air the peach trees are at bud swell around here
16:15 Sure is handy that floor dry comes in the same way as milk in Canada. In a [thick Minnesota accent] *Bag*
I watched there two videos first and believe me they go in depth on Zachs planter. Videos are a little longer about an hour long but they have a load of information on those videos. I highly recommend zk master.
Thanks!
When you got squirted with the hydraulic fluid, I was waiting for either you or Kaleb to say, "now that's sloppy!" That would have been hilarious!
Zach is great I hope he drops a off the husk podcast soon
15 below...?! you gotta be kidding me I'm an hour east of you and it's 32° and sunny here.!!! 😮
I agree with JohnDeereforlife.!! There is a couple others I would mention as well but your my favorite farming channel Mn. Millennial farmer.!! 👍👍
I have been getting notifications that ZK Mastertech had a video of your service call. I did not want to watch their video until I watched yours. I love the videos Zac. Been missing them this winter.
Another great video.
As always , love the way Ann's let's you know she wants to go for a ride
Before you hook the hoses up...you should see if you need to switch the quick hitch from cat 3 to cat 2..........
It’s a good day when your home sick the mn millennial farmer posts keep up the great work zach love what you do your the guy who made me get in to farming with Larson farms
Good to see you back
Nice to help neighbors. I do alot of that
These are 2 handy guys to have around.
I've watched ZK MasterTech for a long time, I really never thought I'd see you guys together. 👍
Get yourself one of those couplers from Lankota, its like the ones that connect the header to the combine
amazing how things work when you know what your doing!!!!
Its like taking your car to your local oil change place. They come in there and tell you all your parts are bad and they can fix them for you.
You can tell it’s cold by the sound of the snow as you are walking.
You are a nice neighbor- great video - ty ty
Its always about neighbors.
We use a cocoa husk product called spillfix instead of clay based kitty litter way better to work with and mucb more absorbent

Great awesome video zach , zeth snd sloans are the real deal , great Thero inspection 🧐, they know what they are doing
Thank you!

Wow Zach the things you learn and the things you didn't know.

The security sensor on the walk thru door for the shop should be on the inside so the bad guys can't mess with it.
Coffee makes excellent floor dry. We used it to get rid of fuel oil smell after a spill. Just buy the cheapest stuff you can find.
It's so awesome that Zeth can show many repairs on John Deere on his UA-cam channel, now you are field ready to plant very soon. You should place a battery disconnector switch on your truck so it won't drain your batteries fast during winter days.
A reason for everything, must be a reason why they are draining.
Hopefully you were able to buy your fertilizer and chemicals last year as other UA-cam farming channels have been talking about the prices for them going very high.
Wow, makes me appreciate my old 494.
Thanks for the content Zach. It brings a smile to my face when I see you have uploaded. Also just a question do you listen to country music, and if you do who is the best country singer/ song writer?
Hello from Canada great videos thanks for sharing
interesting watching your video after watching theirs
What’s going to happen if you can’t sale corn to make Ethanol , all Electric cars not good for corn
Hey Zack good video i cant white intill planting season keep up the good work and videos👍
It was interesting to see the other half of the ZK planter series! Hopefully you won't need to change the Cat 2/3 hitch around very often. Luckily the planter didn't drop off last year.
If they use the category III hitch, wouldn't it have been easier to just add some bushings to the planter pins?
@@Zimmerdf thoes are a pain in the but and expensive.
Nice collaboration, i also have been following ZK for some time now.. 👍

Good to see new video Zack
Nothin like pros at work.....mercy!
what great guys to have around. there knowledge is amazing.. great vlog
Glad I was at work wearing safety glasses watching this

Yep it time to plant 🌱 just had more snow
Use "simple green" on those oil stains on the floor. You'll barely know they were there after you're done and it works quick.
As much as the tractor was running in the shop DEF (government juice) kept the shop from being a cloud that the doors would have had to be wide open to clean air with the closed doors
Put some thumbs on those guys! Mine have the same excuses!
Hello now that the planter is hooked up by a pro lol
On #1 hydraulic put one zip tie on the left hose
#2 hydraulic put 2 zip ties on the left line
#3 put 3 so on so forth then next year you hook up and don't have to think just grab hose and put it where it goes
