Thank you SO much for that interview with the chemical guy. A lot of us are keyed into what's going on with our supply chain, and any glimmer of good news is much appreciated.

You should check out Tony Fast's system for holding his in-cab monitors. High on the front windscreen so it keeps visibility clear to the front. Much better visibility for the driver.
I have an 82 Chev 1 ton. Since I bought it new it wants to be pumped three times before it starts. I've had mechanics say that it is unnecessary and even not advisable. Tell the truck that.😀
I have never farmed, helped a guy pick corn one year. But watching Zach fire everything up brings a smile to my face. Looking forward to another year of planting, growing and harvesting!
We take our carpets out of the tractors in the fall/ winter when we’re putting out hay. For summer hay work the carpets go back in. Makes for a more comfortable day and stay pretty clean doing hay work.
Yea. Zach promised more videos. I’ve been waiting to long for more Zach videos. I hope you start planting soon. Here in Missouri, our fields are to wet and calling for two days of heavy rain.
That's so funny with the pedal pumping. We have a few old carburetors around the farm, and my dad and brother ALWAYS say to pump the pedal. But when I went to school for mechanics, they told me to NEVER do that. Believe me though, you will need the battery charger if you don't pump the pedal. I don't know why, but it works
If you want to keep battery's charged on Trucks and stuff. You need a cutoff switch (emergency cutoff) that way when you finished with the machine/truck cutoff power with the switch it will keep battery's from discharging as they won't be connected to anything all while the switch is engaged
I've started helping my nephew with tillage and have been running his tracked JD 9230 so watching how you guys operate and seeing the things you watch really help me. Been running something called a "Joker" tillage implement. It needs speed to do its job so sitting in this thing can really be bone jarring. It's been a real eye opener too, going from a JD 730 to this thing!!
Zack I just want to thank you for all the great things your doing. I've been following you since you started. Keep up the good work farmer's across the country are also great full because the public would never get the education with out yours and other UA-camrs out there.
Our place is a couple of hours east of you - and just like you we are more than ready for spring to show up. Oh - and Jim? You can put me down as one of those who is NOT anxious for you to get stuck. It's a pain and will always happen when you can least afford the time and trouble.
Came across your channel recently and highly enjoy watching yall.i have a mobile tire service in ohio and just love all your toys!!keep on keeping on !!God bless you and your family.
Someone might have already suggested this but It seems like you have a lot of battery issues with your semi trucks. We had the same issue with one of our trucks. Fairly new batteries. Still seemed like the batteries were bad. Took all the cables off and cleaned the ends up with emery cloth. Fires up every time now 😁
I took my snow blower off the tractor, serviced it and parked it for the summer on Monday morning. Monday afternoon while I was greasing the tractor and loader it started to snow, we got 2 inches plus. Just Murphy's Law!
Try cycling the key a few times before starting the service truck. Fuel pressure has to be high enough for the injectors to spray and after sitting it is probably loosing prime. Have to do that on my 89 TBI 350 if it sits.
Check the alternator on your red KW, unhook the battery terminal going to it and touch it back to it, if it sparks you need to replace your alternator, had a Kw at work with the same problem
Fuel injected vehicles with an electric pump usually run the pump for 10 seconds when the ignition is first turned on then fuel pump won't run again until engine oil pressure builds up. If a fuel injector leaks down or the pump check valve leaks down or a rusty fuel line leaks, it can take a long time to get the fuel pressure high enough for the injectors to function. Cycle the key on for 10 seconds several times to get the system up to full pressure before cranking the engine.
Accelerator Pump needs replaced, that's why pumping it gets it to work. Simple, cheep and doesn't take long to fix. Should have a few on hand if you don't use it much.
I enjoy watching you very much, and as a young farmer, I always try to do the right thing in my job.I wish you a fruitful and trouble-free season, greetings from Turkey, which I will always enjoy watching you do your job. Note: I accept gifts :D

Coming from Minnesota I kept our garage heated all winter and we had a Crack on the floor that was about 4 inches away from edge of the door so I could wash the car and truck all winter. The water would drain into the Crack it worked perfectly so that was my indoor car wash. I'm a firm believer that it works better clean than dirty. And I was a Snap On Dealer then and when the temperature rose above freezing I would wash my truck then. We moved to Florida in 94 and by then was selling Mac Tools and that truck was washed year around. I'm a clean freak like you. I know boring!
Hey there Zach, I hope this finds you all well and good! Do y'all not have Stone Quarries in Minnesota, you know, the place where you can buy crushed stone to put on your dirt driveways and parking lots so you don't have to track mud in and out of everything you own? I hope y'all have a good one, and can get out and put some seed in the ground before May gets here! "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
Its a good thing nothing runs like a deer, or else no one would get anything done. Lol just joking im a red fan, but in reality there all junk any more.
On vehicles that don't have fuel injected engines, pumping the gas was a way to help get the engine to turnover. They say it doesn't help to pump the gas pedal on fuel injected engines, but instead hold the pedal all the way down as its trying to turn over.
The first thing I did when our tractor came here was take that carpet out. The rubber underneath is so much nicer and yes threw it on the shelf and haven’t touched it since lol.
Can you please go back to doing the Off the Husk podcast I love listening to them. I learn so much and you guys are a riot. Thanks Tom from New Hampshire
The truck probably has a week fuel pump. Try cycling the key ON and OFF three or four times. Listen for the fuel pump to cycle in between time you cycle the key. It should start this way.
I have a 1994 f250 with 126000miles it was cranking over alright but n I t firing. My mechanic thought it was the fuel pumps on in each tank. Turns out it was the fuel regulator. Fires off like a new one.
@@dennislonghenry3418The Ford's were bad to have the transfer switch that switches tanks to go bad. Could cause them to loose prime and cause hard start, pump from one tank and return to the other or run out of gas when the gauge shows gas because it running off the other tank. That is where I would look if you start having problems again. The Chevy my money is on the fuel pump. Just my 2 cents.
The one thing we did with our camper (5th Wheel), was to use the battery disconnect on it so that the batteries don't drain as fast. However, we thought our disconnect was bad so my Dad ended up just taking the leads off the batteries that hook up to the trailer and that helped to ensure the hydraulic jacks would work. Long story short, we were reading the battery disconnect wrong and it worked after that. Just thought disconnecting the batteries physically might help.
That old semi that keeps killing batteries has a short somewhere in the wiring so perhaps you could install a battery cut off switch to save you some aggravation until a repair is possible.
I can tell you zach is right on the pumping or 89 Chevy Cheyenne we have to do the same thing to start it the pumping is the key to starting those trucks.

I would get a meter on your Semi - it has a parasitic draw that drains the batterys.. You can either try and find it with a meter - or install battery shutoff at the batteries.. Probably easier to wire in a battery shutoff switch.. then put warning note "insure battery shutoff is in ON position before starting" -
If that service truck has throttle body fuel injection and it has set for more than a week cycle the key switch 2 or 3 times before you try to start it (turn the key to on, wait for the fuel pump to quit humming then turn the key off for 5 seconds and repeat). Kind of like pumping the pedal with a carburetor.
Interesting to hear your views about the number of software options by different companies out there for farmers….I totally agree, here in the UK it’s just the same!
Try keeping the tops of the batteries clean. There's iron in the soil and you will experience voltage drop across the top of a battery through the dirt itself. Wish I was there to diagnose and fix that thing for you. Love a challenge. Haha
