Halrassy: I keep getting bad teammates

and doesnt do any significant damage the entire game. hes good at building but doesnt know how to attack or coordinate with teammates
You know, considering how you were talking about Hallrassy usually being a hard carry for weaker teammates, that sure was some sloppy play in the second game. The friendly fire was just painful to watch. And even if his teammate zvendoch isn't as practiced and a fair bit slower on his tech, I thought he performed quite well. He had some great targeting, especially in the first game. Hope he continues to improve and impress in future games and leagues.

I cringed at his teammate friendly firing the cannons. Then after he fell I realized that was Hallrassy and not his teammate.

Destroyed a total of 3 allied 20mm weapons without changing a thing, all the while his ally was getting trashed by the commentators the whole game for being a noob 😂 the irony

Since they seemed to be anti-howi weapons maybe it makes sense. Cheaper than cannon and still deals damage after stopping a howitzer.

Likewise. I'd probably give it a go, but non of my friends are willing to pull the trigger even on a 45% steam sale lol. Hopefully, if Forts 2 is ever a thing, it's F2P with cosmetic shop. Maybe then the game will see a resurgence.

Good video, love the chill but very informative commentary.
It really felt like Halrassy got tilted off the face of the planet round 2 with the friendly fire and threw in the towel round 3 with a portals + mortar cheese. Don't get me wrong, the portal mortar strat works good in pubs, but it's so easy to counter in 2v2 comp teams when there's always one person on the other team that has lasers and they're playing reactive.
I really don't get the commentary on this one, it felt insanely biased. Hallrassy was not pulling his weight at all in the second match and was consistently hurting his team MASSIVELY with the friendly fire while zvezdochka was basically being 2v1'd. The commentators constantly treated zvezdochka like a newbie holding his team back while Hallrassy wasn't only holding his team back, but literally actively hurting it. It's like the commentators made one assumption right from the get-go (that zvezdochka was gonna be hard-carried by Hallrassy the entire time) and just completely refused to believe anything else.
That first death was the best slow motion replay I've seen in a while!

pregame predictions are fun, so here's one about 30 seconds in:
Hal is REALLY good at this videogame, like 'could 1v2 most teams' good.
But Klaus is pretty close, and myself is no slouch either.
Know nothing about hal's teammate, if they played already I missed it, but I know hal, and I know he can do well.
If zvez is even half decent, Hal can easily clean house. Otherwise, fair fight.
As for game 1's map, hal is on the top, should be no contest unless Klaus can get a cheeky BS coresnipe.
After: Pretty much what I expected for game 1. Though Klaus got sniped significantly sooner than I expected.
Game 2: They tried a rush, it failed, the inevitable occurred. That godly sniper play certainly helped, too.
Game 3: Cool idea, punished hard. The fact they he didn't even door the mortars the second time was just asking for trouble, and the lack of interior bracing when he knew a howi was coming... I dunno, kinda think Hal got tilted and stopped trying.
Zvez: credit where it's due, he was actually pretty decent. Definitely out of his league, but he did a good job punching above his weight. If hal played at his best instead of trying to be silly, I think they would have won 2-0

I have a totally random question, in The Forts Pro League, are any sort of macros allowed?
I'm pretty sure macros aren't allowed in any pvp rts game except in special cases like AI matches.
@@danieladmiraal9371anything that can’t be detected or noticed, can’t be prevented and are thus allowed. This includes keyboard and mouse macros, just not 3rd party software macros.

I feel like the moral of this match is that the early game weapons (mortars and rockets) could need some buffs, it doesn't feel like they do enough to justify them over just rushing heavy weapons.
I don't quite agree. It didn't work well in these matches, but has absolutely gotten others the win before. Ultimately I think it comes down to how well your opponent is able to handle the defense. Early game weapons shouldn't be able to completely overwhelm someone's defensive efforts, but should still require a good amount of skill to tank while trying to build up your own heavy weapons. It's a gamble that your skill and speed outweighs your opponent's skills of observation and defensive play. And unfortunately, Team Skillgap was just more skilled.
The last match really exemplified this. Zvez and Klau had very similar strategies, but Zvez had double the economy of Klau, more or less. Not only did Zvez have fully upgraded mines and tons of upgraded turbines early on, but they also placed down their initial mines faster than Klau. However, while Klau and Zvez were primarily focused on each other, Klau was able to also focus a laser or two on hitting Hallrassy, taking out their mortars and dealing core damage multiple times. Zvez did hit i am myself some too, but not with the same frequency or effectiveness as Klau to Hallrassy.
theyre switch weapons, they should be used only with lasers or cannons if theyre just not able to do the damage needed. people use them wrong

Flac are big trash against Howitzers, one Flac only takes a howitzer out in the rarest of cases. You either need shotguns or gunners.

I don't know why the commentators were beating you down that hard while treating Hallrassy like one of the best players around, you did way better than him imo. It really seemed like he was holding the team back way more than you, especially when he seemed to go out of his way to hurt the team.

one has the early game perfect but seemingly doesnt know how to attack and the other knows how to attack but is slow. both good players but a bad pair. I dont understand why they glaze hallrassy so much though he was fairly useless here

You are just making it harder to follow FPL by not putting the team names in the title instead of c tier commentary on how the match went. Also, where is this in the ladder?

The FPL is a season type activity, not tournament, it doesn't have a ladder so much as a general summation of points earned. You can check the points earned at the link in the description.

The meme strats, like accelerators, are far too suboptimal to see use in any competitive setting. Much better chance to see those strats during community game nights
@@Incursus That makes sense, I just figured surely a like armordillo turtle team would be able to do something with it, with one player focusing purely on space control/defense and the other one prepping for sending it
Since it doesn't require open forward doors I figured it could afford to be fairly low interaction with a lot of early game threat but iunno
Maybe too easy to focus out the support player if they realize whats happening
