Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

Ey 42 i have idea pence swing plus missle Rush since you remove core to back to 4 by 4 you can use same 4 by 4 to technology and upgrade center in vanilla if you can get six mines you can get 4 mine 2 missles now place first mine in back rather than forward swing the turbines litle bit back obove 4 by 4 and have 2 nukes infront of your base if you pull it of no one expects
How did anyone see it? Steam forums?

Tbf the core really can't take a lot of weaponfire. It does from like one direct heavy mortar.
Death by EMP Missile to the Core, what a way to die.
There was a heavy weapon directly above the core, looks like it blew from the EMP and took the core with it.
Actually,if physics were taken into account,getting chain EMP-d could shut off the cooling of your core,causing it to meltdown,which as we know from Chernobyl's catastrophe - ( I think it was a meltdown,whatever,you get the point :P) - ,is NOT a joke..
@@ahnthedrunk2983 While Chernobyl did melt down, it didn't have a coolant failure... well, not until the moment it blew up ;) Also a "simple" coolant failure would not have resulted in it blowing up like it did. The exact cause of that explosion is ofc far too complicated to go into here, other then to say that quite a few things had to coincide for that to happen... But if you want to look into a reactor that had a coolant failure that resulted in a meltdown I'd suggest reading up on Three Mile Island. Much less devastating result though (didn't blow up).
I kinda understand why movies and games make it seem like nuclear/fusion reactors are basically giant bombs that blow up as soon as something (like coolant) stops working... after all, bigger booms = more excitement...
And for nuclear reactors there is... some... truth in that because they are after all inherently built as pressure vessels, and as such they will violently disintegrate if the internal pressure gets too high (same as pipe bombs). It's just that a lot of people put crazy amounts of work into making these things safe and therefore any conceivable failure mode tends to be covered by multiple layers of failsafes (stuff like pressure relief valves - purely mechanical and therefore not affected by EMPs). Which is not to say it is impossible to blow up a nuclear reactor, just very unlikely.
And from what I understand about our current fusion reactor designs (the Tokamaks) I believe it would be be physically impossible for them to actually explode, although I might be wrong there.
If you want to have reactors that are affected by EMPs in a more realistic way I'd suggest giving it a "restart cycle" where it gradually restores its energy output over time. Because that EMP forced the reactor into a failsafe shutdown and it takes time for it to get its temperature back up. Especially if it was EMPd multiple times in a row, as it had more time to cool down. And maybe have it damage nearby buildings because it has to vent radioactive coolant.

it was the plasma laser blowing up form the emp after it had alraedy been weakened by the fire

GG Incursus, nice core swings, I was late with my cannons and I paid for it, honestly it was like a 1v1 since we both had bad teammates most times, lol.

He tries to pass this off as invincible but with the amount of tightly packed batteries he has that base is a powder keg.
I mean if you get something that goes through your frontal armor you're probably already going to die anyway.

That is basically the point of the video, making the base near in-collapseable.

Fun fact:
If you build adjacent shields at a 45 degree angle to your base, and a 90 degree angle to each other, the lasers WILL go directly to where they came from.

The issue with retroreflectors is that they are susceptible to wobble

Has anyone ever tried making retroreflectors in Forts? Basically if you have two reflective surfaces at perfect right angles (or 3 if you want to do it in 3 dimensions), it reflects the incoming wave back perfectly in the direction it came in from. Therefore two well-placed energy shields at right angles would surely have the effect of sending a laser beam directly back into the offending laser and destroying it.
Damn youtube! Not only 720p is now NOT HD, it literally looks worse. They made it look worse, just like they did it with 360p back in the day.

you are probably one of the best tech deleting cannon rushers, and I get why people are doing it because it looks fancy on video, but it's a pretty bad strat against plasma beam + mortar rush as 3 plasma beams can be built little sooner than a cannon.
I don't get it, he shoots the exact same spot multiple times in the last game, but the person never puts any new defenses there.
I enjoy his videos, but sometimes I feel like these are scripted. Lol

In more recent videos I think I have seen people firing weapons with at hot key to shoot in the same angle as previous shot. Is that a new feature or from a mod or am I just not understanding something?

That 2v1 was a really well played battle on both sides.
you should set up a base where you shoot at your own plasma shield into an opponents base, then turn the shield off so they cant get ur plasma beam.
