There seems to be a lack of recognition that heart palpitations can be caused by changes in cardiac contractility as a result of abnormal changes in autonomic tone. Even changes in cardiac preload/afterload and vascular resistance (e.g. in vasodilation or hypovolemia). These don't necessarily represent an arrythmia but the vast majority of doctors I have spoken with seem to think that palpitations are only caused by arrhythmia or anxiety - which of course is not the case. Increased intra abdominal pressure can theoretically cause palpitations by both vagal changes and such pressure causing the pulse to resonate into the abdomen.
When I was 20 years old my first heart palpitation happens and last long for 2 mins. then after one month 2nd happens day by day frequency increases And I get very nervous and panic when ever it happens then I see lots of doctors they do so many test ECG's and Hemoglobin But All are normal (One year complete since 1st heart palpitation occurs)....But then also heart palpitation occurres , then I do so many research Then I know the reason what trigger my palpitation and the reason is Gastric problem..and then till date when ever I feel heart palpitation is occurring I walk and ones the gas pass I feel very comfortable.... that's all

@@kimjongun4727 Omg! I thought I was the only one! When I was super overweight, never had these issues. Once I lost 80 lbs, these weird episodes of heart palpitations started, and my heart feels like it pounds harder. It's annoying that when you try to look it up on Google, all that comes up is how losing weight helps palpitations😮💨
try drink boiled water when you cook rice everyday, and eat fruits like apple and banana. avoid carbonated or soda drinks. eat vegies everyday and never skip meals. eat moderate and frequent. dont eat too much.
I get palpitations whenever I take cough and cold pills and I only take them when I have to. Why does this happen? I should also mention those pills put you to sleep fast.
My palpitation (specifically pounding heart palpitation) lasts for only a split second but I have them 2-5 everyday. I dont know if this was because of a hot weather, health anxiety, or a combination of both. I also felt pulses in my neck and suprasternal notch. Im scared. 😢😢😢
It's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional to evaluate the cause and address any concerns regarding your palpitations and related symptoms.
I have heart palpitations constantly now. It usually gets triggered when I bend down, odd. I remember the longest heart palpitation I felt. It was fast hard heartbeats that lasted for 20 mins. It scared me so bad.
@LoveisaLie3494 Experiencing constant heart palpitations, especially those triggered by certain movements like bending down, can be concerning. While occasional palpitations can be harmless, persistent or intense episodes-especially those lasting 20 minutes or causing anxiety-should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. They can help determine the cause, whether it's related to anxiety, caffeine, dehydration, or something more serious. It's essential to prioritize your health and seek medical advice to ensure everything is okay. Take care!
I am 15 and I have it often when I am playing football, maybe when I did not warm up properly. They appear suddenly and last sometimes about an hour long. Or when I stop exercising and lay down. Then it feels like they are gone. But the next day I feel a bit uncomfortable in my chest, like my heart is very heavy. Is that normal?
@reisesser136 It’s possible that the discomfort you’re feeling could be related to not warming up properly before physical activity. Sudden chest discomfort or heaviness after playing football might indicate that your heart and muscles are reacting to the intense exercise without a proper warm-up. While occasional discomfort after exercise can happen, it’s important not to ignore chest pain or heaviness, especially if it lasts for a while. Make sure to talk to a doctor to rule out any heart or muscle-related issues, and always warm up before playing to help prevent strain on your body.
Can anyone elaborate on this please? So, I do have anxiety and one day I took a fish oil, vitamin d and a coq10 pill in the morning. Drunk a mixture of cayenne pepper powder, turmeric, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar. About 1 hour later while sitting at work I had a heart flutter and then another right after. I usually try to take a deep breath or hold my breath using the vagus maneuver to get back to normal but heart fluttered back to back for about 30 seconds and then really fast heartbeat. What can be said about this? Am I taking too many supplements and or remedies for my heart that are causing this, is it my anxiety, or do I need to have my heart checked??? When it happens like this I get really panicked and wanna drop everything and run to an ER. Usually goes away in less than 5 minutes but when it happens I feel like my heart is going to stop.
@eileengardner3700 Are you talking about the cayenne pepper drink or all the supplements? Can you elaborate because alot of sources say cayenne pepper powder and tumeric is good for circulation.
ive bee having heart palpertations pretty much every night since i was 13 (17 now) ad i dont know if i shoukd go to the doctors because im anxious about the tests theyll be doing
@starthejar1419 It’s understandable to feel anxious about seeing a doctor, especially when it comes to tests, but it's important to address heart palpitations, especially if they’ve been occurring regularly since you were 13. While they can sometimes be harmless, persistent palpitations can sometimes indicate an underlying issue that may need attention. A healthcare professional can guide you through the process, and they’ll make sure you're comfortable with any tests. It might help to talk through your concerns with your doctor beforehand so they can reassure you and make the experience less stressful. Your health and peace of mind are important, so don’t hesitate to reach out for help.
@MemeWorld-ox4om Palpitations and a burning sensation in the heart area could be signs of acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where stomach acid irritates the esophagus and causes heartburn. However, palpitations can also be related to anxiety or heart conditions, so it’s essential to consult a doctor to rule out any serious cardiovascular issues and get proper treatment.
My palpitations are skipped beats. I had a monitor on me for 7 days and it turned out okay. Because in that 7 days i only had like maybe two palpitations. And i also had ECG that was good too. So i dont know where is the problem. But for last 3 days i had palpitations. For every 10-15 seconds. And when i was walking it was many more. I hope im not dying😢
@shadyss4762 I'm really sorry you're going through this. It sounds like you've been proactive with your health by having the monitor and ECG done, which is great, and it’s reassuring that the results were okay. However, frequent palpitations, especially over the past few days, can be stressful and worrying. While palpitations can sometimes be caused by anxiety, stress, dehydration, or even caffeine, it’s essential to reach out to your doctor for further advice, especially if they're persistent. You're not alone in this, and your health is important-don’t hesitate to seek professional help. 😢 Stay strong!

i have Anxiety disorder so sometimes i get them mild heart flutter or palpitation' but my ECG is fine and Blood test shows no signs of heart issues' i just get a light flutter in my chest time to time.
Heart palpitations and mild flutters are common in people with anxiety disorders, and if your ECG and blood tests are normal, it's likely related to your anxiety rather than a heart condition. These sensations can be triggered by stress, caffeine, or even certain medications. Practicing relaxation techniques, managing stress, and avoiding triggers can help reduce the frequency of these palpitations. However, if they worsen or become more frequent, it's a good idea to consult your doctor for further evaluation.
@@MedicalCentric my heart fluttering is not frequent it happens like a few times a day since having a panic attack i get the heart fluttering lasts about 5 seconds then it goes but i get worried when i can feel it' i take Amlodipine to keep my blood pressure healthy' as long as the heart fluttering isnt something serious then i can live with it' but again it only happens after a bad panic attack' the palpitations happen say 3 times a day aftermath of the bad anxiety episode then eventually they stop completely.

Heart palpitations are also caused by vitamin and nutrient deficiencies such as potassium or magnesium. And almost everyone is deficient in potassium.
